Hi guys, im testing a crashed galaxy s4, when i use a power supply to wake up pcb, this only give 0.100 Amperes when i try turn on the phone, at put off the buttom this come to 0. Logically is a pcb problem , but, is it possible to fix replacing some chip?,Or should i drop it.
Regards and Thanks.
Have you tried replacing the battery? I'm just thinking most phones won't turn on with a dead battery.
BAttery is right, anyway im using a alternate power supply.

Situation: So I've successfully flashed the new ROM a week ago. It was great, I must say, I really loved it. But yesterday, when I was on my way home, I found out that the phone wasn't starting up, even after I held the power button for more than 10 seconds.
I assumed that maybe the battery got drained, so I charged it as soon as I got home. The problem is, it's not charging. I even left it overnight to charge only to discover that it didn't.
I tried three different chargers and I even tried charging it by connecting it to my laptop but none of it worked.
I tried pressing the Volume Up+Menu Key+Power Button but to no avail. I can't even access the Download mode.
I can't open nor charge my phone and the buttons give no response at all.
So, any idea what the problem might be? Is it caused by the new ROM or is it hardware failure? Or is my phone bricked?

Is there any light (i.e) black screen with dim light? Or your phone doesnot give any response like a dummy?
either
your battery is dead
the charging pin is faulty
the motherboard is faulty
the power button is faulty
the screen is faulty
take it to a repair shop for diagnosis
use a universal charger so you can know if your battery's dead or not.. I had the same problem before my phone just died and won't turn on I bought a universal charger and found out my battery's dead..
Thank you for the response.
Just figured out the problem, guys. The problem turned out to be the battery.
I used my friend's phone battery (Both of us owns a SGY) and my phone finally opened!
What confused me, though, is that my friend used my phone battery on her SGY, it worked just fine! My battery hates meh. :v

hi there, have you try to charge via the USE line?
I have a very big problme with my s4. From about 3 days my phone turn off by iteslf all the time. Now i wont even pass trought samsung boot screen. it looks like he lost power all the time. i read on the internet that it could be battery fault but after change battery to new one, he still turn off all the time.
plis help me...
I got the same problem, it's probably the power switch that is broken, I tried to fix it by my self and ends up destroying my phone. The power switch is very small and have 3 solder joints, I've broken one of them while trying to fix my phone.
You can try to search on youtube for the problem which is well known.
If you have a multimeter, you could test the power button connections. There are three connections. Testing points 1 and 2 and points 2 and 3 should give you one result where the circuit is open and the other result should be a closed circuit.
Dad's S4 i9500 suddenly died.
Won't turn on at all. No recovery mode, nothing.
No damage, phone is immaculate.
Was not dropped, nothing.
Phone will not charge and screen that shows charge when charging shows nothing.
Any ideas, anyone?

Double check your power supply and your usb cable. Probably the battery is totally empty and will not been charged...
I keep a few spare batteries on me that are always fully charged. We have tried a couple of those in Dad's phone, then put them in my phone to check they had charge. They had 100% charge.
The phone was still 100% dead with the 100% charge batteries in them.
I have replaced the charging port ribbon last night in case this was causing a short.
The new ribbon made no difference; still 100% dead. Nothing at all. No sign of life at all.
I'm thinking the on/off button or the power IC.
Of course it may be something else.
Your thoughts?
Thanks
It can be the power button has gone faulty it happened to me before try smacking the power button couple of times to see if it makes any difference i pushed mine against a desk a couple of times and it worked after that i installed a shake lock app so i don't need to press the power button anymore unless i need to turn on/off the device.

I put a ohm meter across the on/ off switch this evening.
I get infinite resistance when it is not pressed, and finite/ no resistance when button is pushed.
So the switch is working perfectly and it's definitely not the on/off switch.
Any other ideas?
guess your motherboard is x_x then
Yes seems to be the board.
What's the best way to work out what's wrong with it/ get it fixed.
Anyone know the most likely cause/ who does, or how to do such trouble shooting analysis.
So my i9505 suddenly turned off one night and when the battery is inserted it turns on by itself and after a second cuts off. Its like the power button is jammed or something. I put some alcohol in the power button and pressed it lots. This made no difference. Anyone got any suggestions?
Do you have a multimeter to test the power button connections to the motherboard?
There should be three contacts for the power button.

Ended up buying a note 3 to replace it. A shame, was planning on keeping the s4 for longer. Now I have loads of useless s4 parts and 3 batteries haha.
The note 3 is a nice phone too. Love the big screen and pen.
Maybe sell off your s4 parts or give them away?
When I have cell phone or computer parts that I no longer need and they have little value, I give them away using a local buy&sell forum in my city.
