Hi
Tried to flash a new kernel and all seemed ok (flashed phones and nexus 7 few times now) when I came out of flashing I hit a bootloop, I though nothing of it and tried to restart....same issue, so next I tried to go into cw recovery, no joy, it will not show again.
I can power/vol keys to android fastboot screen with start power restart boot and so on but if I choose recovery nothing happens, I am stuck with either a bootloop or stuck on android fastboot screen and not able to move from either.
I have tried the toolkit and most other things but the problem is it cannot see my nexus 7, even after installing drivers and so on the toolkit (top right) does not list my nexus as found, because of this I cannot reflash any stock firmware/recover/reflash cwr.
Not sure how I can get around this if my pc cannot see the nexus 7.
Thanks for any help

Hi
I cannot flash anything. On the fastboot screen I can scroll up and down powr off/start/recovery....if I choose any (apart from power off) nothing happens.
When I hook it up to my pc it cannot see it, nexus 7 toolkit also cannot see it, it does not list it as found so I cannot flash anything on to it, if I try it just says waiting for device, tried other things and same thing either waiting for device or asks if fastboot installed.

Thanks....but still get waiting for device, thats the problem, nothing seems to see it so I cannot flash anything to it.
You are already at the bootloader screen. Use your computer to fastboot flash a new kernel. Being able to get into recovery has nothing to do with it. You screwed it up flashing a kernel. Its likely thats all you need to fix it. Flash a new one with fastboot.

Downloaded the fastboot exe but unsure what it needs to work as when I click on it a run box opens for like half a second and then closes, dont get a chance to read what it says, think I will have to read up on it.

How did you get it to work? I have problem getting my device to be recognized. Stuck on boot loop too..
Hey man, how did you get your computer to recognize your device? Would be great to finally fix mine as this is the same exact problem -- computer doesn't recognize it even though in fastboot.

I don't understand exactly what you are trying to do, sorry: you said the pc does not see the nexus, "even thought in fastboot".. If you say even thought, it seems to me that you are able to access Android itself or maybe recovery? In that case I can't see the issue.. Sorry my fault, non english mother tongue
But, if have the device soft bricked and you are able to enter ONLY the bootloader (that is what we call often fastboot), then you should start to remove the not working fastboot drivers installed into your PC: launch the nexus in fastboot mode, go to Device Manager into your PC and search for a driver with an yellow exclamation point. This issue is very common so I hope that you have it, too.. So, uninstall that driver, then unlink the nexus from your PC; after a few seconds attach it to another USB port and see if Windows install a driver (it should). If this new driver doesn't work, too, or if Windows does no install any, try this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1426502
Hope it helps, let us know, see you!
EDIT: also, if you still have no luck, you should find a Linux or Mac PC/laptop and download the adb/fastboot binary files for that OS; this will definitively solve your driver issue ( @#ò#@!"@# Winzozz )

Hi sorry for not being clear. Basically I am only allowed to access the bootloader and my device is soft-bricked. I'm pretty sure I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers about a year ago when I originally did it, but I'll try again and let you know. Thanks!
Hello guys!
I wanted to root my Nexus 4 today, and started to do all the steps. I downloaded all the drivers and setupped them.
Then I unlocked the phone by using this command on the correct folder in cmd "adb reboot bootloader".
It was succesfull. Then I did this step by writing this on cmd "fastboot oem unlock". I was succesfull too n there
was no problem. Then I setupped twrp recovery mode v2.6.0.0. But I didn't send the files of SuperSU to the phone. I tried to reboot my phone while it was connected to my pc with usb,the google icon appeared first, then the X icon of nexus appeared. After this, a screen showed up on my pc which says "the drivers are being setupped" but then it showed that it couldnt setup the drivers. Phone stucked here and cannot be started. There is only the X image of nexus but I cant start the phone. I can use recovery mode and bootloader only. So now can u please tell me what I did wrong and what should I do now to start my phone.
By the way I also tried to backup but it failed too.
Thanks, and waiting for your valuable answers.
Have you tried a factory reset from recovery?

Thanks for the answer. But if I factory reset, I will not be able to setup any roms cuz I cant connect to my phone from my pc with usb.
So if I factory reset, will I have to setup any roms to my phone ? Also I cant connect to my phone from my pc in recovery mode.
I did a factory reset. And my phone is working now. Thanks for everything. Çükünü yiyim abiii
I would recommend starting everything fresh. Follow this guide to revert to stock, then follow the root steps also in the same post.
Edit: Oops, posted too late. Glad you have it sorted out
Hello all.
I dropped my N4 the other day, breaking the digitizer. Screen is fine, receives calls and texts etc, but I have no touch functionality at all.
I am not sure I want to fix the phone as it looks a little beyond what I can do. So, I want to sell it as it is for someone else to fix. I am rooted etc on stock rom. Phone is recognised as an android device when connected to my laptop (win 8.1) but I can't access my data at all. I have tried to flash the stock rom again using Nexus 4 Toolkit, but it doesn't find my nexus. I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers etc. Still no luck.
I booted into recovery, but for some reason I chose a the touch recovery twrp, so that is unusable for me. All I want to do is format the thing to sell it on and be done with it.
Any ideas?

Download the 4.3 factory images, boot your phone in fastboot, connect it to your PC, and use the "Flash-all" script in the factory images zip. It should restore and wipe your phone, and you don't need any touching.

Phone is in fastboot, windows beeps when connection phone up, clicking on 'flash all' brings up the command prompt telling me fastboot isn't recognised as an internal or external command . . . .
Things like debugging are on, as I have the jellybean logo also.

That description really helped on that link. Using that, and then the Nexus 4 Toolkit, it all came together and I have put it back to the stock ROM now. Thank you :good:
Hey guys, so i just got a nexus player, and first thing i went to do was update the system via the normal Settings/Update. As fate would have it, the plug got hit in the middle of the update, and its now just stuck on the Google screen. I can get to fastboot and the bootloader, and i Have been trying to flash the factory image, but every time i try to do so, either when trying to use a toolkit to flash via adb, it says i need enabled usb debugging which i was never able to do since the thing got fried immediately, secondly when trying to flash via fastboot, halfway through it says out of memory, and keeps failing left and right. i cant figure out what im doing wrong.
Any help??
Edit: Nevermind... i JUST figured it out... im such an idiot...

I have a rooted RP2 MR1 on android9. I tried to unroot the device since I am trying to sell the phone. I went into magastik and clicked Complete Uninstall. After the phone restarted it booted into Recovery Mode. I cannot get past this. I can go into the Bootloader from Recovery Mode. I have tried ADB but my phone isn't be recognized.
Not sure what I am doing wrong, or if this can be fixed. Any help is appreciated!

To get my phone to be recognized, I had to try two different cables, as well as follow this video to install the standard adb drivers.
New user so I can't post the full link, so add this after the .com/ of youtube
watch?v=1TxjSa8gemM
From there look up the stock ROMs installer for the RP2 and follow the instructions for that.
I just ran into the same problem. I uninstalled through magisk then rebooted. now i can get to recovery and bootloader but phone wont boot. I tried reinstalling factory image from razer's website but adb gets stuck at waiting for device. I have used 6 differnt drivers and 5 different cables including a samsung sync and transfer cable i went out and bought today hoping the cable was the issue. any update on how you fixed it or advice from anyone else would be greatly appreciated as this is my only phone.

Are you using the ADB/Fastboot that Razer recommends on their site? I had this problem too until I updated my ADB/Fastboot.
Yeah, I feel like an idiot. It's been a while since I've used adb. I ended up moving the fastboot file into the same folder as the the image I was trying to flash and had my phone working 30 minutes later. I meant to reply but it was 6 am and I went to sleep. Lol
