Why did you change your MAC address? How can you know you didn't duplicate someone else's?
Copy important stuff over to extSDCard. Good backup policy as well... Then factory reset. Or reflash your ROM.
DL and flash SuperSU from chainfire's site.

If you do a backup to internal you should then be able to connect to your PC and copy the backup across.
I'd recommend getting an SD Card and using it though - they're very cheap - you could get a 16GB one in Australia for about $10 and we're expensive for tech.

Clean install doesn't mean that your phone will be completely wiped out....only the system partition (including the ROM, apps, data etc.) will be affected...so photos, videos, docs etc. will stay untouched.

You mean flashing. Clean means clean ^^
And **** happens on tw, better to back up in case.
But seriously if you can't connect your phone to a pc you shouldn't touch anything at all at this time, but keep Googling and reading.

After flashing GCR3, there was a list of options during the reboot asking whether I want to restore the configuration or something like that, I chose NO (I hope I didn't make any mistake here). As the ROM does not include Titanium Backup, I wanted to install Titanium Backup through adb (which I never failed before when flashing other ROMs), but it failed with the following message:
> adb install Titanium_Backup.apk
3755 KB/s (... bytes in 0.515s)
pkg: /data/local/tmp/Titanium_Backup.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_MEDIA_UNAVAILABLE]
Anybody know what went wrong? 'Unknown sources' under Settings/Applications/ have been on. And I can't find the sdcard directory! When I try to install any apps from Market, it complains that there is not enough space to install items! Does it mean I've lost all the backup data somehow? If so, how can I rebuild the sdcard directory? Help!

Did you make a nandroid backup of what you were running? did you back up your sd card to your computer? Eugene stated it could wipe your sd card. The same thing happened to me. I ended up odin back to stock rooted my phone again. Then I formated my sd card to fix the 0 free space put the rom back on and was good to go.
Thanks a lot for the help!

My original stock version was JI6. I could not find any guide of how I could odin back to my stock. Any suggestions or pointers? Also is ODIN only for Windows computers? I have a Mac, so any ODIN program for Mac? Thanks!
nandroid backup should get your old rom back up and running with TB and your other apps. Then you might want to copy things over to your computer,

Thanks again for the help! Please bear with me as I'm a newbie. By 'nandroid backup' do you mean the backup data I saved through Clockwork Recovery with ROM Manager, right? But I didn't copy that data to my computer! And the problem for me now is that I can't install Titanium Backup because of the "not enough space" message, and I'm not even sure if and where my backup data exists on the phone. What should I do?

I tried that already! The problem is that at Restore stage, it says:
Couldn't find open directory. No file found.
That was why I feared that I had lost my backup data! And I don't even have an sdcard directory now on the phone... So what else can I do?
That rom wiped my phone as well so I lost all of my backups. Luckily I had a week old back up on my laptop I used. This was the first rom I've flashed that wiped everything so I was kind of confused at first.
Internal phone storage of zero
Could somebody help me out? Aside from the lost backup data, now my main problem is the zero internal phone storage that does not allow me to install any apps! How can I solve this?
that happened to me and what I did was odin to stock again.
odin might fail at first but try again and it will work.

If you havent fixed your phone yet, there is an easy fix for this. I had the very same problem after installing GCR3. You need to:
In the green recovery go to ULF Voodoo options or whatever it is...then lagfix options....then apply the "use voodoo (ext4)" i think...after it goes through that...then "set default permissions" , clear cache then reboot....
That is from rubbamade. He posted the fix in the GCR3 thread link number 121.
It worked for most everyone else that had the same issue. Please go to that thread and thank him for posting a fix. GCR3 is a really nice ROM.
Cheers and good luck

Yes, that was the solution I ended up taking to fix the problem. Thanks for your kindness...
Pre-flashing, I created a backup with TWRP's backup, which contains the system, data, and boot folders. After flashing to a new rom (AOSP Google offical kit kat ver), I flashed back to stock, using Kies. However, no matter how hard I tried, I can't seem to find my pictures anymore. I attempted numerous recovery methods but to no avail.
I thought factory resets/ full wipes didn't remove the DCIM folder, but I was careless enough to forget to backup the folder seperately.
No folder I can find contains a .nomedia file, and I hopefully haven't overwritten the SD data yet.
I can't seem to connect my phone as a UMS, even though it shows up as a Drive. It just reports being empty (Windows asks to insert a disc).
I'm currently on a rooted, 4.2.2 JellyBean.
Also, does the /data contain the DCIM?
Is there any way to recover the photos, since I have the backup?
Edit: All data from other apps (Phone, Messages, Contacts, games, etc.) have been restored properly. However, music was wiped, which gives off an impression that I can't restore the photos. I won't give up hope; I believe in the skills of the community!
Thanks!
If you did a factory reset in the stock recovery you're sol. Don't know away to restore your photos.
Ah, dammit. Thanks for answering.

I understand, but I've been using Google for about 2 days to no avail. From checking .nomedia, using ~10 common recovery tools, always failing in some way.
As a side note, do you know how to mount my phone (4.2.2 Jellybean, rooted) into UMS mode? I've gotten it to UMS mode, but I can't seem to be able to have Windows recognize it. It just shows as a blank F:\ drive that says "Please insert a disc". I think I would be able to progress further if I could have a fix to that. The majority of results say that it's impossible for 4.2.2, since one of the primary parties removed the feature (Samsung, I think?), or there's a fix for older versions.
Thanks for the good luck!
I have been rooted for a while, and have always had a custom ROM but I wanna try going stock using xposed. How would I flash the stock image? Do I just treat it exactly like a new ROM? Or do I have to do something special or different? I normally use Titanium, but I will make both a titanium backup and a nandroid backup if I do this. Thank you for any help.

Media meaning what? Pictures, Music?
Copy that to your PC.
As for the data, you might wanna do a backup using custom recovery. Or you could use the app Helium.

Hey! I was asking if you guys know a good way to fully backup a phone (like cloning it).
I would try some ROM like PA and some other but I also want to be able to good back to the state I'm right now (fully configured, with all apps I need, and when restoring this backup I would like to have exact same app data, configuration, account, everything in fact).
I don't even know if it's possible x)
In all case, thanks for your answer

You shouldn't need to install ADB tools though, they come included on the additional partition OnePlus adds with drivers, just copy those files over to your PC
Adb already installed
Thanks for it mate. I'll do this tonight and cross my finger hoping it would work as I think
TWRP. If you are installing ROMs TWRP would already be there and all you would have to do is create a backup.

App data IS backed up by TWRP but anything you see in internal storage is NOT backed up by TWRP.
The way I do it is:
Titanium Backup for all user apps
An app called pairs for Bluetooth and WiFi backup and restore
Create a Nova backup for my home screen setup
Transfer any media (such as photos and music) to my PC
And then I go about flashing a new ROM/clean flashing my current ROM.
I do end up having to go through my ROM settings over again, as well as setting up system apps again, but it's not a huge deal to me.
This feels like the "cleanest" way to backup and restore, so it's a small price to pay! (For me at least lol)
Can you confirm that even chrome app data is being saved and restored? Eg: cookies
Thanks!
