Need help here..i have been having this problem since two days..tried two different roms but not solved..
Problem: phone reboots most of the time while composing msg or rplying to msg..
Tried check's dk v2 rom and currently on touch x-treme 2.0 sp2..using ragemod t-30 kernel..
Plz help..
P.S:tried everything from wiping data/cache and dalvick cache..
Reinstalling rom..installing stock rom and custom rom but no help till now..
Tried samsung kb and gingerway kb..go kb..just in case kb problem bt no improvement..
Plz help..

Happened to me on Cognition v1.5 ,
Solved by removing un-wanted apps,
The problem might exist in some app, mostly in the one asking SU permission.
Try removing some suspicious apps, see if the problem exist.
There are lots of posts about reboots (many by me!) but I don't recall any reboots specifically relating to text entry.
In my own case, my phone misbehaved in a truly random way, with about the only consistant part being that it rebooted normally when it was doing nothing.
You don't say if you just have your phone for 2 days or if this is a new development?
All I can say is that I sent my phone for replacement (a painful process!) and the one I have now is fine. The SGS2 is a great phone when it behaves !!!
i have my phone since 2 months..this issue has been 2 days..tried ninpho kernel ragemod kernel..and 2 or 3 roms but the phone only reboots when entering text in stock messaging app..i surf net for hour..or cal or even use go sms pro then it doesnt happen..and I use the stock msging app which comes with rom..without modding it..dont use bln..I just cant seem to figure out y this is happening on multiple roms!!!
does it happen when using the messaging app on a stock rom

The problem is with jkay mod 9.1..I dnt knw wat it causes the reboots bt as soon as I uninstalled the mod and application..the problem ws solved..I m currently on batista rom and sppedmod kernel..and using jkay mod 8.2..no problems nw..
Gonna report it to jkay nw..

it wasnt a "boot loop" boot loop is when the phone keeps rebooting from boot screen..it was phone random reboot..phone rebooting itself randomly(in my case in text entry)
anyways the problem was solved..
anyone else if having these sorts of problem in new roms(using jkay mod 9.1)
or using jkay mod 9.1 try removing it..or else using 8.2 jkaymod version..

urs must be a kernel problem or something..in my opinion dont be so harsh on ur phone reflash a new firmware through..pulling out battery everytime led me to broken proximity sensor...

i have a new samsung galaxy s2 which was originally from bell canada but was unlocked(by imei unlock i think) the firmware is stock
model number : GT-I9100M
Baseband version: I9100MUGKG2
Kernel: [email protected]#2
my issue with this phone is that when im listening to music through the stock headphones via the stock music player it crashes, makes a sound while doung it. gives the media scanning on the bar on the top and the phone signal is not there.
i read from the other posts here that it may be from the sd card so i removed it but its still happening.
any suggestions?

I know this is an old post but I fixed my reboots by removing all apps from SD card, not had a reboot in months, cant use card for programs, stock ROM
I solved random reboots downgrading from 2.3.6 to 2.35.
Hope it helps.
Move everything from /system/etc/init.d/ to another directory on external_sd.
Flash a rock stable kernel like speedmod k21 without undervolting.
If it doesn't help flash a rock stable rom like Criskelo v38.

Bro right now I am on Dark world Rom... I am not able to flash this cok rom.. whenever i try flashing using SP tools it gives an error.
It tells Failed to open COM port 1 and stuff related to UART.. i tried going back to my cwm nandroid backup of stock rom and tried flashing this again.. same old error... can u help me...?? tell me wat i am doing wrong...??
OR ATLEAST BUILD A NEW MIUI with the NEW STOCK ROM Q700i as BASE please.. i badly loved your MIUI because of its smoothness.. since SD card was not getting detected..i could not use it..

Did you folow the step?? You have to press firmware upgrade. When it giving error?? When loading scatter?

hey rajit, i tried all the steps as you mentioned, but it wasnt successful. for some reason even after installing the drivers my phone isnt being detected by flash tools.. maybe its because my pc is 64bit and the drivers arent..
but yeah, even i agree with aniketh, wish you could use this roms base and create miui rom from this.. it'll be awesome.. i loved that rom except for the sdcard issue.. i got the fix for the data as i posted in the other thread.. but still a FC when trying to switch network modes.. wish you could make a fresh one fixing mainly the sd card issue.. thanks

Yes i followed all your steps... it loads everything after i press firmware/ upgrade..
then when i insert phone through USB cabel.. the phone boots up immediately...
SP flash tool says the phone booted before it could execute some startup command to flash rom.. i tried with many drivers.. same thing.. my phone boots up (Bootsplash appears- Evil Android bootsplash from Dark world rom) before SP flash tool can actually flash the rom... :crying:
Tried again.. now it said SOC verification failed...!! please help me.. or instead of all this hassles.. I have proper working cwm.. can somebody make a cwm package for tis stock rom.. or still more better idea.. somebody who has flashed this successfully and working.. can take a cwm nandroid backup and upload that... so other users who are finding trouble flashing through SP flash tools can restore theat nandroid backup.. VOILA new updated rom... please somebody take time and upload

can u plz take a nandriod backup of it and upload somewhere and post the link here.. many of us are helpless because of the errrors from SP flsh tool... it would be helpful bro..!!

Those errors are related to SP Flash Tools especially the 3013(SOC verification failed). I seriously doubt the role of drivers in causing those errors. So give this version a try.

Just wanted to share that even I successfully flashed the new firmware to my Xolo Q700. I did used DOWNLOAD button. There was no problem noted. Memorycard problem is solved. But my observation is this though this new firmware is improved, it is un-noticeablly slugish. Otherwise very happy to have this. Thank you all who contributed for bringing this new firmware in focus.

7)If everythings right,Flashing will proceed..
8)Wait till It finishes..A green ring is displayed on completion..

hi there my phone is xperia sp i am very impressed with pac roms and wow look at all those features. top job.. problem encountered below...
i have this rom installed [ROM][XSP][JB4.3.1][CM][AOKP][PA][HALO & PIE][NIGHTLY] - PAC All-in-One ROM
kernel is doom kernel
installed gapps version is paranoid android mini modular package.
regardless of which app i start up, withing a minute the app is crashing and shows ("this app stopped working" blame tyler) message.
1.) is doom the correct kernel or maybe its broken/needs another kernel?
2.) should i try installing another gapps package?
3.) can you suggest the best config that runs on xsp?

You can't use it on 504q.. if u flash you'll brick ur device..
Flip cover issue is also resolved, Use Xposed Module for same, check OP for details.

Incoming Calls caller id not working. Please let me know if there is any patch that I can install to resolve this issue. Otherwise very good rom...real smooth with no lags.
How to install CWM
I am using lava iris 504q+ running rooted stock kitkat v4.4.2.
I am having a lot of trouble finding any way to install cwm or twrp recovery to my phone. please Help..
I have searched almost everywhere and tried to install using Mobileuncle, Mtkdroid tools, even tried installing CWM package (which i got from posts in xda 504q forums) via stock recovery but no luck..
Please guys help by giving a guide to resolve my issue :crying:
Also can this ROM be installed using the stock recovery ??

Were you on kitkat 4.4.2 when you flashed cwm recovery ??
I tried yours and other recovery images found xda and other methods as mentioned previously in my post but all my hard work is goes in vain when each and every time i return back to stock recovery which refuses to be replaced

I have tried all of the methods mentioned in the post you gave me link of.
Also i am able to give root permissions to all the apps that ask for it So, maybe no problem with Root.
Which recovery are you using and when did you flash it (were you on JellyBean at the time of flashing it) ?
Is there any way in which without the use of Custom Recovery I can flash your ROM or revert back to the stock JellyBean ROM (in order to try and flash CWM).
Please Help I wish to try your and other ROM, also I am not able to use GPS on my device.
GPS just doesn't work, even after keeping it on for hours and hours it just doesn't catch a single satellite, where as other phone lock on GPS within seconds, What could be the reason for this, Could it be because of the stock KITKAT ROM I am using? Have you ever faced this issue???

Don't panic i guess u are in a bootloop, if yes go to recovery and perform a factory reset and flash the desired ROM again, hope it helps you.
