Root T520, Knox 0x0 with KingRoot 4.1 - Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2, 10.1, 8.4 General

I have just rooted my T520 with KingRoot after 2 attempts, and Knox is 0x0.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/one-click-root-tool-android-2-x-5-0-t3107461

I second this!
Worked perfectly for me one the first try! Thanks a bunch!

Still no problems with the knox flag? Also, I expect OTA updates are automatically disabled?(since I don't want OTA when I'm rooted because that could break root)
Just got this tablet but I want to remove the bloatware and do some root-tweaks.

Nice one! It really works and Knox 0x0... bye bye all bloatware

Does this install any other "kingroot" apps? If so, can you disable/remove them without breaking root?

Wanted to root my girlfriend'ss 10.1 with it, but after reading in the thread about the kingroot apps connecting with Chinese servers for no reason, I backed out. You might just be better off with tripping Knox.

I already tried it. Everytime i restart device i lost root :/ so maybe it's not a permanent solution.

galaxy tab pro 10.1 t520
After remove kingroot with supersu don't restant device install flashfire and current rom from sammobile and flash everroot enabled . You keep root and knox 0x0

12.2 T900?
Sorry - I know this thread is about the T520, but curious...
Does anyone know if this works on the T900? it's not listed as supported, but the T520 isn't, either.

I keep root and knox 0x0 . Thanks to chainfire .

Could you write exact procedure? Did you use Super-Sume app to remove KingRoot app and install SuperSu before using Flashfire? Thanks.

If you can install flashfire it don't matter . You flash rom with flashfire and everroot and it install supersu automatic . I yoused wolf kingroot to supersu

YES IT DOES! Your mileage may vary, but this worked for me, resulting in root with Knox 0x0.

Can you explain please better? I installed stock rom and after this installed flashfire. when i open flashfire i get and error saying that my device isnt root. So how can i root using flashfire?

t520
If you root with kingroot you can install flashfire. Put the same firmware like your device on sd card and flash it with EverRoot enabled That Will install supersu . Internall wipe and you Will have a clean rom with supersu and knox 0x0

[Q] Galaxy s4 official kitkat 4.4.2 knox-friendly root method

Hi,
I would like to know if there is any known way at the moment to get a rooted kitkat 4.4.2 firmware without tripping knox. I'm momentarily running MKE 4.3, German csc I think. I'm aware of saferoot for this firmware, but I would like to know if there's something like it for official kitkat, or if it is possible to root my 4.3 and then upgrade via mobile odin and inject root via everroot everroot without tripping knox. If not I'll just update via OTA and root via another method but if it's possible I'd like to keep knox for now

Oké, Thanks anyway
I don't really trust kingoroot as I thought that it had spyware installed, just as vroot, but then I heard about saferoot and I I was hoping I could keep root via mobile odin, but too bad. I'll just just root via cf-root then

Does not trip the knox counter..but don't expect to use custom recoveries. It is a simple root only.

Thanks! I read about it in the featured articles but I wasn't sure it would work or not. I was just planning to use the root to clean the ROM up a bit to free up some system memory and RAM and make some apps system apps, better backups and fiddle a bit with my storage, and maybe using some modules, do you know if using Xposed trips knox?

Xposed doesn't... but I would be weary of modules that perform bootloader or deep system changes
Titanium Backup.. and use backup app and then remove/disable etc
Just be careful... if the knox counter is v important to you.

It's not that important to me, I just don't want to trip it if I don't have to, if I need to trip it for something I really want to do I don't have a problem with it , it's not like use knox thanks you very much

Actually KNOX is very important for warranty issues. If you dont have warranty then I wouldnt worry about it. If you DO have warranty then do not mess with KNOX-tripping root methods.

I don't agree, Knox often lets the devices reboot. And the second point is, that you can't use it so it is useless. I would delete every Knox relating app

That was the first step. After that he can install SD Maid and remove all Knox features. You agree with me?

But why don't just delete with Titanium backup? I think the result is the same, isn't it?

I don't know. In SD Maid you got more options and you can remove all things you want not just the Knox App
Same with Titanium, i guess there are 6 or 7 Knox relating apps or drivers and you can delete them with TB.
But no matter how you delete the apps, important is, that you delete them

what is the best for root galaxy a3?

waiting for me arrivals [I ordered today] I am preparing to root immediately but I have doubts

- Towelroot and kingoroot on their sites do not speak of compatibility wth this device
- Framaroot? does it work? but did not in the list
suggest me because I'm afraid of brick just bought [and i love xposed]

I've had similar problem with KingRoot. Lost root after every reboot (I used SuperSume previously to replace it with SuperSu). However, sometimes root access was intact. Then i copied su binary from /system/xbin to /system/bin/.ext (yes, dot ext) and after that problem was gone.

i was tryed SuperSU app and the message is "impossible to disable knox"
i think is knox the problem.i would to try to re-root, immediatly freeze knox apps with titanium or similar, then reboot.
but with this device i very very afraid of bootlop or brick, also because we haven't a recovery for solve problems [nandroid backup save me may times with s4 mini]
tomorrow i re-try, tonight the eletric line in my city is on-off [many air conditioners busy the line!!!]
since it can be useful for other users, I notice that I was able to solve the problems. before i freeze the knox apps with uninstaller pro, then I removed manually with root explorer [uninstaller pro could not eliminate them], so I have not gone more posts by SElinux and the root is safe and full garanted. xposed ok. please not install SuperSU because was in conflict with the similar app provided by kingo
who should serve: root with kingoroot from PC > elimination knox apks> reboot
I read now that are coming to the recovery ... interesting !!!
Cf aouto root is king but if you dont like it or have problems try downloading towel root or kingroot onbthe phone or kingoroot on windows or try cyanogenmod installer.

[SM-A710FD] How to root without tripping KNOX?

I've been searching for a tutorial of how to root this phone without tripping knox and i do have some files in it (knox) too.
Back in the old days, i was using Galaxy Note 2 and I rooted with KNOX tripped (it was out of warranty already) and the KNOX won;t be able to be access anymore and that's a bad thing
So, how to root this thing without tripping knox and still have my warranty covered?
