[Q] Unable to add apn - YU Yureka Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Friends,
I am using BSNL and uninor in my yureka. I mainly use uninor as data sim but recently I accidently reset apn settings. After that there is no option of getting new apn, only "apn settings are not available for this user" . I tried rebooting many times, changing sims but no avail, although there is apn for bsnl present. I don't want to factory resent and my yureka is rooted.

Gprs problem with airtel

Just flashed with XXJPQ, when i looked for APN in mobile network i can see no default APN there. then whn I manage to enter APN manually, it connects sometime but it disconnects automatically. I m on Airtel kolkata. is somebody facing the same problem??

well i was in jpq for a while. i entered these settings.
apn name- (anything)
apn- airtelgprs.com
apn type-internet
if u hav entered these settings manually but still it does nt work then it might be a nw problem.
wipe cache n factory reset in recovery n thn try.
m frm kolkata also n i dont face any problem.
Clear the address of mms and it's proxy in the apn profile and try out

Only getting 2G network in both sim slots

After reverting back from RR 5.8.0 to Stock kitkat my phone is not getting 3G/4G networks although I've activated 3G/4G plan. It's only catching 2G networks. Network drops regularly and phone goes to "no service' for moments. Any solutions?

U might not have edited your APN settings.
Search on Google for APN settings of your sim operator, edit it and save it.
If your problem is solved plzz hit that thanks button..
No everything is okay... 2G network is working.. but not getting 3g /4g network.. when the preferred network is set to 3g only.... I restored modem files.. and flashed stock ROM through QDloader mode.. but nothing is solved..

a2017g n b05 4g lost on 2nd sim

Hey,
I've recently upgraded from b04 to b05 and now I can't get 4g or 3g Internet on my 2nd sim. That's what I normally use for data. The Vodafone apn setting have also disappeared.
Any ideas? Thanks

Thanks I've tried that - the 4G problem is fixed but I still cant connect - I've added settings manually. I should probably add here that I'm on Vodafone UK (2nd sim)
Also I've upgraded to B06 - which produces the same result and interestingly the APN that does appear in the list is TalkMobile...?
Swapped SIM cards and back - now I can't get mobile internet on either one of the SIMs even after reboot. At least for SIM1 the correct APN is present. HELP!

IMEI is fine but it seems that Sim2 only goes to edge not 3g or 4G - it's like it doesn't change connection type
Have you fixed your problem? I have the same problem before, so if you can try to change your settings about card in your settings and reboot your phone, your problem may get fixed. Good luck!
Try factory reset
So I reverted to b04 and its all good now.

Latest update botched data - any ideas?

I have an S8+ from Canada (unlocked, purchased direct from Samsung). The latest update seems to have killed off the ability to get data working, everything else is fine.
The update went as normal, but as soon as it rebooted it was out of action. I've since reconfigured APN settings, wiped the cache partition, reset the network and performed a factory reset - no dice.
I swapped sim cards with another GS8 - my sim worked fine in the other phone and that sim didn't work in mine.
Anyone have any ideas?

Is your APN settings still intact after the update? Check under settings>mobile network>access point names. That's most likely the problem, you might have to Google the APN for your current carrier and add it to your APN list, then select it. If that isn't the problem make sure you have the proper network mode selected (ex. CDMA, LTE, Global,...) if you need further help don't hesitate to ask.

Do you have the proper network type selected for your carrier?

cant send mms on verizon

I'm running the latest RR ROM and have noticed I can't send MMS messages. I've reset my apn settings and nothing is working. Even tried changing my cellular network and nothing.
Suggestions??
