What is this thing lol i finally got an invite and have NO IDEA where to start and what to do lol
can somebody break this down for me?
all i know is that you pretty much have to get invited and invite people to truly enjoy this. amirite?

To be as basic as possible, think facebook, only better features and more customization. Not to mention more privacy. But its in beta and just beginning. Get friends on there, get people from here on there, start creating groups (circles) and start posting.

Well, more like think facebook, only fewer features and less customization, not to mention worse privacy and still very buggy.
It is Google, so I absolutely expect it will get significantly better, and I trust Google more than Facebook.

I think google is trying to combine fb and twitter plus adding their own twists. The best party is, it's google, they'll have some cool **** added as they go along I'm sure.

Yeah careful withe G+ app if you don't change the settings it wants to upload your photos automatically, well lets say you may end up sharing things you may not want to share.

It only uploads them to a private folder.
The biggest thing right now for me is that you can't hide yourself on the service. Facebook has a way to completely hide your profile - on Google+, your name, profile picture, and gender must be there and searchable. A couple of my friends work with potentially violent, crazy people on a daily basis and definitely don't want to be publicly searchable on social networks, making Plus a nonstarter.

Can anyone spare an invite. Despite the many publisher accounts I have with Google I can't get myself an invite. Would sure appreciate it. Thanks guys!!

lolol nice. but i wouldn't count twitter and fbook as vcr's. as of right now there much better then google+
the app you cannot do anything. no editing or inviting and its still new. got to invite people just to enjoy it

i got a couple questions regarding Google+ though
do you have to have a gmail Account? and is it just for androids as for downloading it in the market.
Because u can have iphone and still have a gmail account and use it but not on the phone is app store dont have it

From what I understand, google+ requires a gmail account and becomes part of your gmail email, connected to that specific email forever.
As for the google+ app it's only available on android because it's still in testing. Probably in a few months they will release an app for the iPhone when google+ is out of testing (if Apple approves the app)

There are no limits to invites. One person could conceivably invite the entire population of this forum.

I was gonna ask that because I haven't had a limit when I have invited friends and family.

I have plenty of invites as well. I have been adding XDAers as I see them in their signatures. You guys all know there is not one big XDA circle, right? It's not like a group on facebook. Unless there's something someone hasn't told me about ....
How are you guys getting that cool G+ icon that links to your profile?

Yeah the more bogged down their servers get the more they will periodically shut down the ability to invite. Personally, I'm ready to shut down Facebook.

I have thought about closing my FB, but some of my friends and family don't want to jump ship. So I'll be using G+ for XDA, which lets me interact a little better with the rest of the community. I personally prefer G+ more than FB ...

Google+ users list

For those who ALREADY have Google+ accounts and would like to have other XDAers in their circles.
That I know of, there are no group circles that you can join. You make your own circles, so other XDAers with XDA circles won't see your posts automatically. You have to add them each to your own XDA circle.
This is NOT a post to ask for invites. There are other threads offering invites (and most of us are on there, too). This is just so we can all be friends.
Please leave a link to your profile, or if it's already in your signature (like mine) just say Hello! Hopefully that will cut down on spam.

I have a XDA circle already and have about 11 members. Great idea, keep in touch with the android community

Okay, maybe i'm doing it wrong. I click on Circles, search for the email addy and add the result. Each time, it asks for a name for that email address. It doesn't seem to automatically find the profile associated with that email. Am i doing something wrong?

That G+ icon you got there uh...lookin pretty fresh... can I uh, you know... copy?

I'm pretty fascinated with G+ so far. I have about 350 people in various circles, it's time to go through and figure out how to sort them. I only know maybe 35 or so. There was a great list of google employees that are active on G+ with tips and open ears for suggestions. It's obviously a work in progress, and likely always will be to some degree.

Hey guys, why not start our whatsapp group related to our device galaxy s/s plus.
Group will be related to device galaxy s/s+(roms, kernel etc) & android(apps,games etc)

Hangouts is kinda good i guess. We (DevConTeam) also use it for Meeting and talking about issues and other stuff.

I made whatsapp group because i think its much easier cos we always use whatsapp and we can ask and help each other qiucker

I just wouldn't put my phone number out on a public forum, makes it easier for scammers.
