Hey no need to root... Just install it in your phone... Don't do the procedure as they Said... Download and install... I did same and using it's superb and free of cost to send mms worldwide....

But here is the kicker...If you are, like me, using a custom contact group for Friends....then they won't show up in "My story"...so it is buggy that you can't change what contact group you want to use.

awesome wonder why nobody does so....

Maybe it could be better in Google hangout than whatsapp cause some SGT 2, 7 and 10.1 doesn't has cell fone capabilities and whatsapp doesn't run on it...

I don't feel comfortable with giving my phone number out. It would be better to do a hangout. Besides I have a wifi tab only.

You can use whatsapp on your tab...just google it..
BUT having said that giving your number out here etc is not really the best idea as could be used by telemarketing companies etc....
May be hangouts would be better as less hassle for those not using whatsapp etc...
the groups a great idea but why not use another media other than whatsapp as it seems to be an issue..

whatsapp group

Hey guys, why not start our whatsapp group related to our device galaxy s/s plus.
Group will be related to device galaxy s/s+(roms, kernel etc) & android(apps,games etc)

Hangouts is kinda good i guess. We (DevConTeam) also use it for Meeting and talking about issues and other stuff.

Might I make a suggestion. Out of privacy reasons, why don't you use google hangouts? You can have up to 150 participants and privacy of phone numbers don't have to be used as it is powered by Google+. Also, you can just form a group on google plus for nexus 6 chat only where hangout messages will be sent group wide. All people have to do is join, then search for the circle on hangouts, then chat away.
