first i m sorry to post question in development. friends, i hv dual boot my hd2 with wp7 and kitkat. Now want to install slimrom 4.3.1. So plz help me....i want to expain in detail what exactly what i did...i deleted all data from sd card then put slimrom zip with 4ext recovery...then formated second partion with ext3...now plz tell me how to convert to ext4 and further steps. Plz help me guys.

@Robbie P and @EvilMegaDroid...plz help me.

Kalpeshavan, please stop posting questions or asking for help in the Development Section. HD2 development is not as popular as it once was, so when we see a new thread in the Development Sub-Forum we get a bit excited, only to see something that shouldn't be there . Perhaps a kind Moderator could move this to the q&a section when they have a moment? Thanks Mods:good:
There was really no need to wipe the sd-card and re-format the existing ext4, NativeSD was designed to allow multiple roms to be able to be booted, you can choose which one you want to boot before each start up (there is an app by datagr that can switch roms (it won't work with the last lollipop rom)). You can have quite a few on larger SDcard.
So, now that you have an ext3 partition, go to 4ext recovery menu, then choose the "EXT3-4EXT-EXT4" option, then "wipe | format -> EXT4", then "format SD-EXT". This should turn your ext3 into an ext4 partition.
Then put the new rom.zip onto SDcard and flash it, choosing NativeSD install.

You mean NativeSD folder not rom?

yes, native sd

plz, help me....infact previous rom kitkat is also not working now...stay on htc logo.

its been a while since i installed any rooms on my hd2 , but i would suggest to do a format of the sdcard and try again with a clean sdcard a nativesd installation

@EvilMegaDroid, i have tried that all. Formated then created....then put 4ext recovery and slimrom.zip. Then boot 4ext recovry then ext3 4ext exp4 then wipe/format then format sd ext.....then install from sd then reboot then boot ad sd ...but my hd2 hangs on htc logo and still unable to install previous rom. What to do? Anyone plz tell me is there any dual boot tutorial for native sd? Plz help. Dont ignore.

try another rom maybe

@EvilMegaDroid, i hv tried my previous rom kitkat by macs18max but now it still not working. Plz help me.or tell me the full procedure again. Please

search this post and you will find the procedure

@EvilMegaDroid, thanx for reply. I search a lot on this forum but no luck. I dont know whats wronge i m doing?....i think ext4 causing problem...why minitool partition drop support for ext4 in trial version? Is there any to do it?

theres no way ext4 causing you the prob since i use that and its fine , you can try another recovery maybe , and theres no way you search alot cuz its on the first page of android forums for hd2 , also if im not wrong Robbie P wrote the instructions for you in this thread

If it hangs on htc screen, push reset button under battery cover, do not pull battery. Then magldr menu/services/dmesg to sd, then post the dmesg.txt you find on the sdcard.
It might help us solve your problem

unfortunately reset button is damage n cant press it...still i m post dmsg file found in sd...plz help @Robbie P.

i m using 4ext recovery...plz suggest me anather one.

@Robbie P, here is dmesg file

I copy ROM to root SDcard a over recovery menu installed , by instal asked me at wipe (I gave wipe) next ask was version EU vs US t-mobile verzi (EU option get error. US-tmobile get install ROM) last ask was magldr or CLK installed, I installed at last CLK so choiced CLK.. on LCD I saw install complete, you may reboot, and may take 15 minutes. I saw HTC logo, but after 35 minutes in stuck htc logo, I powered off and find help. can you help me, where I failed? THX and sorry for my bad english
Follow the guide in my signature, either you followed a very bad guide or (more likely) you misunderstood a lot of it because of the language barrier. This is an outline of the steps you should be taking:
1. Install HSPL
2. Install a compatible radio
3. Install MAGLDR
4. Install CWM with the correct system partition size for your chosen ROM
5. Partition your SD card for A2SD (optional)
6. Install the ROM
7. Install any extra features you want.
Good luck

That is correct, yes, however you must also partition your SD card if you have an EU HD2 as some apps will be installed to the EXT partition of the SD. You can either do this on a PC or in CWM (see the guide in my signature for this).

How can I check if I have EU or TMOUS (this is not my phone, so I dont know it)? I am installing TMOUS, because EU install get error. and must I EXT partition creat in SD with TMOUSE? big thanks
A TMOUS HD2 will have the T-Mobile logo on the top of the phone, a red end call button and a green call button. I think that you may still need to create an EXT partition for the TMOUS one as well, now that I've had a look at the ROM.
I changed touch screen, so mabye only check button ok I think I have EU version, so I need EXT part? can you any PC tools recommend me? I think by CWM not work :/ or its possible it take format 8gb card 1 hour? I see only partitioning SD card... please wait... but really I see it 1 hour :/

Yeah, it shouldn't take an hour so it's clearly not working properly in CWM. I'd recommend using EaseUS Partition Manager, it's fairly user friendly. I don't know about the language settings though, hopefully it'll work for you.
I must be idiot :/ still nothing I formated SD card with primary partition FAT32 capacity 6,5 GB and 1 logical partition EXT (I tried EXT2 and EXT3), but If I try install EU version, by step "mount sd-ext" get error E:error name_rom.zip (status 0) isntall aborted. Any ideas? THX
OK, I choosed another ROM and it work BIG THANK TO Nigeldg

[Q] need help

hi

but when i finish installing kernel and reboot my steel on face picture is this normal or i should see lines for installing in my screen ???
excuse my english and if i am wrong pleas help me and explain me how can i install and run android from nand and what's the best rom for android on htc hd2 (stable and no freez)
thanks a lot for replay
Did you flash the correct partition size (170MB)? Do you have an EXT Partition on your SD card? The translation isn't the best so I'm going to assume that you installed the kernel successfully but are stuck in a bootloop of some sort.

first thanks for replying
i have formated my sd car first partition 7go fat32 primary and 1go ext4 primary
but flash the correct partition i don't know what is 170mb partition
Use the HD2 Toolkit, it explains makes things simple. Read the guides in my signatures too, they should also clear a few things up.

CLK Should Have Q&A Thread And Other Stuff !

OK for the C.L.K Q&A thread it should be there and also should be a sticky.
And also i have a weird problem with my HD2
SO I just installed C.L.k 1.5.2.1 From the Sdcard in Hardspl Screen red/white/blue thingy And
then installed T.W.R.P 2.6.0.0 from fastboot from my Ubuntu PC not a problem and finished that then
i booted T.W.R.P it was not able to mount sdcard or the sd-ext partition at all So i thought it wont read beacuse from
MAgldr to Clk related stuff so i reformatted my sd-card which is a Samsung 8gb class 6 to fat32 and ext4 partitions in gparted
copied my roms to that and installed through TWRP then had another problem as that the ext4 partition wont mount in bootup
or with TWRP so redid every thing so the questions is why does the ext4 partiton not mount never had any problems with that on magldar
AND is it best to use ext3 or ext4 for android So Devs and experts whats ur thought on this ?????
Before all of the that i had made a 500 MB System partition as i had 23 bad blocks in my nand so :crying: yeah had a hell lot of reboots
force closes in a 440 MB in maglder that's the max for it don't know why i don't use the onboard data partition as i use { DATAONEXT }
Specifics :: Tmous ; CLK1.5.2.1 ; T.W.R.P 2.6.0.0 ; Slim Rom 7.2 ; Thanks for reading all my blaabering TEEHEE
I won't answer EVERYTHING, but try this:
Backup SD card, and use the formatter in TWRP>advanced to format the sdcard and let it choose which "ext" partition to create, you just choose the size, with 0 swap of course. Report back.

increase your system size to 380
Since you choose dataonext, the userdata partition in nand is not used, so can be tiny. You may as well use the nand for system, so 380mb is good.
Go higher with System size... My size is with native or direct install

LiquidSmootg DirectSD on sdext2
Hello!
Is There a way to install this rom on sdext2 partition?
I want to have some other rom with dataonEXT.
I have HD2 EU with installed Extented TWRP 2.6.3.4.
Partitions on my sd card are:
sdcard
sd-ext 2gb,
sdext2 2gb
swap 512mb
I've already installed the other rom on DataonEXT and LS on DirectSD but im affraid, that both roms use sd-ext istead of other using nand and sd-ext and LS using sdext2.
Sry for my poor english, im still studying.

Your English is fine. There won't be any problem with different ROMs using sd-ext as each ROM uses it's own folder on sd-ext.
However if you want to use just sd-ext2 for LS then add this to the sdcard: https://www.dropbox.com/s/duln5mz4rux8xkd/rdsfuncts.sh?dl=0 and install as NativeSD.
Stuck in MAGLDR
I installed my HD2 (after using my M7 for over a year now) and cannot get past the boot loader and get stuck at the GO GO GO!
Can anyone help me out.
Already started over again from scratch, but that doesn't seem to do the trick.
Maybe I missed something while it's been a while I have installed a new ROM on my HD2.
Can anyone maybe post a step by step instruction how to install this great ROM and the tools I have to use for it to work ?
Thnaks in advance
your Shortcomings
Hello my dear, I have installed your new Rom (LiquidSmooth KK_10_01_2015 v5.0) Although it has some great features but I faced some problems such as: start up, it takes along time to start. And wi-fi that doesn't open properly. Sometimes when i open settings the settings flash as well as the screen flashes. Also for closing recent apps the screen flashes. V5 sometimes freezes and there is no file explore.you cannot sign in to play store. Mobile network automatically turns off. Finally this version works very slowly in comparing to those Roms I tried before. I love this version, so I hope you to work on it a little more.

hello
I can read English moderately and poorly write so I had to rely on translate.google.de. Please for your understanding. A search is schwirig for me since I do not know the words I need.
My problem:
Once I have installed 1.5.2 CLK and the NAND partition've finished I go to recovery and then the picture comes with "Teamwin" (in blue), and again I'm not. What am I doing wrong? see Appendix
If I use 1.5.1.0 RC1 CLK I do come to install but after I confirmed the Accept butts and further geklicht stands there permanently "Please wait".

I think you will need to create an Ext4 partition of at least 1Gb on your Fat32 partition, either with minitool partition wizard or use Extended TWRP as your recovery.
my tut is too old from times when android run from FAT32 sdcard...
for nand version procedure is different and i not make tut for that
i sold my HD2 two years ago and since then i cant test this options....
THIS IS ONLY FROM MY MEMORY (maybe i write something wrong or forgot some steps)
for NAND ROM installation you need 4EXTRecovery for SDcard... not sure for complete procedure but first make WP7 partition (look my old tut) and rest left for android...
put 4EXTRecovery on SDcard (for example in A folder)
boot to magldr
10.Services, 1.BootSettings, 3.AD SD Dir, select "A"
10.Services, 1.BootSettings, 1.Boot source, 1. Android from SD
2.Boot AD SD
wait to load 4EXTRecovery
advanced - Partition SD card
select minimum 512 mb, this is EXT4 partition for system, rest of memory if you want is FAT32
2nd sd-ext skip
swap skip
Yes - I'm sure
EXT4
wait format to complete
red button to back to main menu when format complete...
now is ready to install ROM...
togle usb storage (in 4EXTRecovery)
copy ROM in zip file to SDcard
Next, Next, Agree, Next - Install on NativeSD/semi NativSD - Format (yes)
RMNET Connection
select options you want, after restart when boot to magldr just select which system you want boot
10.Services, 1.BootSettings,
thanks for this....dual boot hd2 finaly succeded
ur video tut is still useful....thanks alot
