Hope someone can tell me the secret to making Lollipop roms stick and run on my Oppo Find5 - I factory reset plus wipe all: System, Dalvik, Cache & Data...It boots but then gets past the oppo screen and finally stuck forever on the rom's own animation - of any lollipop I tried.
What am I doing wrong or overlooking?
Why don't you ask at oppoforums.com ?

Guys, I desperately need help. I followed this guide to install CM7.1 nightly into my Defy and at the end I got the CM7 logo loop. Based on the guide, I took out the battery and put it back and now it's stuck at the small "Google" logo. I took out the battery again and went to the system recovery to wipe cache/factory reset. I got bunch of "mount" cache errors (command, log). I then went to the custom recovery and did the wipe cache again, this time beside "mount" cache error, there were some "open" cache errors. I did the wipe one more time and all of these errors gone. Booted it up again, and it still stuck at the "Google" screen so I went into the custom recovery trying to wipe dalvik cache as the guide said. I selected that option but nothing happened. No question asked to confirm the wipe and all it did was a short blink screen and the screen stayed the same.
Any helps would be highly appreciated !!!
That sounds a bit tricky to me, but first things first.
The first boot after installing CM7 can take a while (some minutes) since all the dalvik cache and other things has to be built. Taking out the battery during that is somewhat risky I think. After the first boot, the system starts pretty fast.
The best guess for you (at least that is what I would try) is:
go to recovery, clear dalvik cache and cache. If you have not installed CM7 before, i would also recommend to clear data as well (ok you lose you data but I hope that you were not doing it without a backup).
Then I would reflash cm7 and try again.
since you had the cm7 boot scree, I believe you have no kernel problem...
by the way, do you know what version your initial rom was?
I think it`s better to flash it from scratch:
1) Flash your previous rom with RSD
2) Root + cwm recovery
3) Cyan
(and if I were you - I would do wipe from stock recovery after 1st step and wipe from custom recovery after 3 step)
Yes, as Iddqd2 suggested just flash stock froyo using RSD Lite and then go all over for CM7 method of installation.
Hey all,
Today my phone crashed because of snapchat, and when it tried to reboot it got stuck on the boot animation.
I've left it running and running and it wouldn't boot any further.
I have an unlocked bootloader, running the stock 4.4.2 rom with Xposed and the Matr1x kernel (12.5).
Things i've tried:
Format cache
Clear dalvik cache
Disable xposed framework
Reboot in safe mode
Reflash system partition
Flash stock kernel
All to no avail, it still won't boot.
Do you guys have any suggestions other than a full factory reset? I definitely don't wanna lose any data.
Thanks!
Hi guys,
I flashed PureXperia z2 v4.2 on my Fly IQ446/Xolo Q800 and I cleared the cache and dalvik cache. After rebooting, my phone is stuck at the bootscreen showing PureXperia z2. I've redone this procedure quite several times but the problem persists. The OS does not boot at all even after waiting a whole night. Please help me figure out the solution. I'd be grateful if anyone could help me resolve my problem.
Thanks!

Did you follow correct procedures for flashing Rom? try flashing the Rom again after wiping data, dalvic cache and system.
xolo q700 stuck at "purexperia is upgrading" screen
I have flashed the ROM and got the Xperia logo screen, then got "optimizing app N of 203" messages and now stuck at screen "PureXperia is upgradin - starting apps." since the last hour.
Steps followed for installing ROM:
Installed CWM
Wipe dalvik cache
Wipe cache partition
Reset factory data
Install zip from sdcard
Once installed, cleared dalvik cache as instructed in AROMA installer.
Is there anything else I should be doing? I need this very urgently please.
My Nexus 4 is stuck on boot animation after i flashed google's factory image for 5.1.1
i even installed cm 12.1 later with twrp
i wiped everything too before flashing cm 12.1
it is still stuck on the boot animation
please help
I have the same problem. I'm hoping to find some answers before I switch back down to 5.1.0
"fastboot erase cache".
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/29370941/not-able-to-flash-aosp-5-0-1-to-nexus-4-lg-device
That solved it for me for 5.1.1. At least it got to the "Android is updating..." part...
I did everything. Every command. I erased all the partitions and flashed them again and it's still the same. I'm stick at the animation. I installed like 7-8 ROMs, based on KitKat, Jelly Bean, Lollipop, Still the same
You have to boot in recovery and do Wipe Cache, and Dalvik cache and reboot
GOOD LUCK
Hello everyone, can you please help! I have the SM-A300F model and I've been trying for a week to install the cm 13 unofficial rom, I installed the twrp 3.0.0-0 recovery and downloaded the files and wiped Dalvik / ART Cache, system, cache and data. then I installed the rom then the gapps and then the super su, but when i reboot to system, it always gets stuck on the cm logo, I waited for one whole day and it was still on the cm logo, it didn't boot up, i don't know what's happening with me, i think I am having a bootloop. Thanks a lot for reading, can you please help solve this problem?
