Nexus 4 stuck on bootanimation - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My Nexus 4 is stuck on boot animation after i flashed google's factory image for 5.1.1
i even installed cm 12.1 later with twrp
i wiped everything too before flashing cm 12.1
it is still stuck on the boot animation
please help

I have the same problem. I'm hoping to find some answers before I switch back down to 5.1.0

"fastboot erase cache".
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/29370941/not-able-to-flash-aosp-5-0-1-to-nexus-4-lg-device
That solved it for me for 5.1.1. At least it got to the "Android is updating..." part...

I did everything. Every command. I erased all the partitions and flashed them again and it's still the same. I'm stick at the animation. I installed like 7-8 ROMs, based on KitKat, Jelly Bean, Lollipop, Still the same

You have to boot in recovery and do Wipe Cache, and Dalvik cache and reboot
GOOD LUCK

[Q] Stuck on boot animation

Hey all,
Today my phone crashed because of snapchat, and when it tried to reboot it got stuck on the boot animation.
I've left it running and running and it wouldn't boot any further.
I have an unlocked bootloader, running the stock 4.4.2 rom with Xposed and the Matr1x kernel (12.5).
Things i've tried:
Format cache
Clear dalvik cache
Disable xposed framework
Reboot in safe mode
Reflash system partition
Flash stock kernel
All to no avail, it still won't boot.
Do you guys have any suggestions other than a full factory reset? I definitely don't wanna lose any data.
Thanks!

[SOLVED] Rooted Nexus 4 All F2FS Stuck at Boot Animation After Flashing Custom ROM

Hi guys! I need a bit of help. I was using PA 4.42 with FK r209 on my N4 with all F2FS (/system, /data, /cache). Yesterday I flashed Nexus_5_Experience_cm11_Nexus4_Release8.5 which claimed in its features that it has F2FS support. so I made a Nandroid backup with TWRP, wiped system, data, cache, dalvik cache and flashed the ROM. Installer did the job apparently fine and showed installation as successful. I then rebooted but ROM could not make it. It was stuck on decryption password screen and did not go past even by giving the password. Then I got back to TWRP Recovery mode and tried to restore my Nandroid backup but it was also stuck at PA boot animation prior to decryption password screen. Then I again went back to Recovey, wiped system, cache, data and dalvik cache again and then restored the Nandroid backup again but it stuck at PA boot animation again.
Is there any way I can restore my backup or would I need to fastboot flash a factory image to make the phone alive again? If so, would it be ok to flash factory image while having all partitions converted to F2FS? Will it do the job or add up in the issue?
Any suggestions would be appreciated please.
EDIT:
ISSUE SOLVED BY FASTBOOT FLASHING 4.4.4 FACTORY IMAGE WHICH HAD NO CLASH WITH F2FS PARTITIONS AND RE-WROTE ALL PARTITIONS TO EXT4 FORMAT.

My G2 won't load any rom at all...

The problem started yesterday. Did an OTA update from CM11 to CM12 but it caused so many problems so I booted to TWRP, wiped everything clean, transferred CM12 to my via Fastboot and did a clean install. Rebooted and it just lingers on the boot logo for ages. I tried the wipe and install again, same problem. I wiped my dalvik & cache, same problem....
So I thought maybe that version of CM was just buggy so I wiped again, transferred Resurrection Remix via Fastboot and installed that. It was at the boot logo for an hour before I gave up and turned it off.
I've never had a problem like this which has spanned between different roms, what could be the problem? I'm installing stock now, hopefully that works so I can try again

If you note a problem like this after installing a rom, i think you can try format data, not a simple wipe but a format in twrp

[Help]Nexus 4 stuck in bootloop "Even after flashing stock"

I replaced light sensor 2 days ago on the nexus 4, when i packed everything to its place it got stock in bootloop (Still on stock).
then i downloaded the 4.3 stock firmware from developers.google.com flashed but it was still bricked, when i entered recovery mode it said it can't mount cache partition, so i wiped data and cache partitions which have succeeded, but the phone was still stuck in bootloop.
After that i downloaded the 5.1 where i was still hoping its a soft brick, and flashed it but the loop problem wasn't solved.

Zenfone Selfie (ZD551KL) CM13 Stuck at Logo after First boot (powered by Android)

So I flashed cm-13.0-20160820-SNAPSHOT-ZNH5YAO0J9-Z00T.zip and gapps nano. Booting time goes on for about 30 minutes before rebooting. Ended up restoring back to stock ROM. If it helps my bootloader is not unlocked yet I can flash custom recovery. Tried wiping data, cache, dalvik, system, asdf before flashing. Tried wiping cache and dalvik after flashing. Still stuck at ASUS logo ("powered by Android").
How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.
Other Info:
Android Version: 6.0.1 (Marshmallow)
Recovery: TWRP 3.0.2-4
1. Flash stock recovery
2. Sideload stock Rom
Upgrade recovery to TWRP 3.0.2-5 if you want to flash CM 13+ based ROMs and unlocked your bootloader if you can so you won't have any problems in the future.
