Youtube + Panel dont work

Hey Guys!
First i wanna say, great site
I got a problem with the youtube app and panel which i can download here. I installed the youtube app and the panel which came from this url.
The problem is, when i click on the youtube app it doesnt load, and when i use the youtube panel the screen turns white and nothing happens.
Have u guys got any ideas? Thnx in advance!

I don't have tried the panels, but i have tried a few different youtube apps for X1.
After installing these youtube cabs, even my WMV codecs which came shipped on my phone were currupted. The problem was, that the youtube cabs installed their own codecs and they have overwritten my original ones.
I don't know, if there existing a youtube app which is compatible to X1, but i recommend you don't use any youtube apps, until anyone gives you a link with functional app
I had to Hardreset my X1 to get the original codec of wmv on its place
i hope there is anyone who can post a functional youtube app link

You should've followed the link and actually read a bit in the youtube app thread instead of creating a new topic :>. Or use the search function of this forum. It works well, I know .
Sounds like you do not have an english winMobile 6 Rom?
You have to change the *.[numbercode].mui in the windows directory to your countries code to get the application working.
Codes and more infos in the youtube app thread. just take a look.

As i had installed the app, there was no info like that, i think it was too early when i tried

Heh, i have the very same thing. I guess when the title says 'working youtube' i wont bother reading >5 pages just to confirm it really works.
I cant decide it is common logic or lazyness .

Problem however, i cant see any movies through the app. After a few seconds i get the error: " Error: Cannot play this video ". But the video's work fine when i go to http://m.youtube.com.
Any comments? =)

today I went to my favourite F1live website (I'm a real F1 fan)
And was really HAPPY to watch video right from the page with sound!

Heh, i thought i had it working too, however, same thing as you have. I can scroll, search and pictures show up and all. However, when i want to play a movie. It say's "Error: Cannot play this video".
God, this is driving me nuts.
Youtube with Opera Mobile only works on 50% of the vids', its very choppy too.
Youtube with KinomaPlay works, but its choppy when in landscape and you'll have to pay for the full version to have more then 10 search results.
Youtube with Coreplayer works, but its buggy and crashes ALOT.
Youtube with youtubeplay works, but its only low/med-quality and the interface is very simple and dull.

Skype now supports video chat on Android, but..

It isn't available in the market any more on my Transformer, and it lists a very specific set of devices for said support. I wonder if there is a way someone can hack this into a working state?

LOL Skype doesn't support video call for android except for the Thunderbolt haha. And devs have been trying to port that over for months but unsuccessful so far.

No, there is an update today that changes the UI quite a bit and apparently adds video calling for the Nexus S, Desire S, Xperia neo and Xperia pro. I copied the apk over to my TF and it works, but no access to video calling functions. I am wondering if I can trick it somehow.

Holy ****... The OP is right.
Skype has been updated to version 2.0.0.45, which includes video calling for selected devices (Nexus S and several others). It's no longer visible on TF in the market, but I updated it on my Galaxy S. It works on SGS, much better interface but no video calling.
Haven't tried this apk on TF yet, and I really hope someone can do something with it.

Gotta remember here.... "Android" doesn't really mean "Every device that runs every version of Android".

I believe there are some hardware issues to be solved to support front camera video on every device, you can't do it globally in one go for every android.
It appears honeycomb support is dropped at all, maybe they release a seperate version.

That's very strange, because I can find it in the market even if a lot of people said that it is no more available... but when I try to install it is saying that it's impossible to install in my device.
Is it normal to find in the market apps that you can't install?

I think you are referring to the online market while the others used the market app...

I just downloaded the app to my desire S and video called my friend , the video was actually pretty impressive. it started off a little pixelated but about a minute it in its was very clear and very responsive. the call was made over wifi.
happy.

Would it not be possible to re-pack the apk with this edited somehow to include the transformer?

they have it working for the sgs2

ive never had success with apktool repacking apks. Always says install failed

i found a working version of skype 2.0 on the web but without video calls.
at least it has the updated ui and audio is working

Just a side question that I always want to ask.
How do you copy out the apk downloaded from the market your phone to the tablet?
(Like this Skype apk, its not longer visible for the tablet in the android market), but from your phone, you can download it from the market. Where its stored in the phone and how to copy it out?

if you install appinstaller from the market it has a backup feature that stores your selected .apk file on your sd card in a folder called back up i believe. I'm sure there will be other back up apps out there but this one has worked great for me in the past.

Just got notified of a new Skype version on my tab. Seems like maybe they've allowed Honeycomb installs... anybody tried it?

With CM7 it doesn't work, with CM9 it's sooooo slow!
I can scroll down and up the notification bar three times and the record just shows one action...

working for me on cm7 rc1 but yeah it's quality is poor but i would say something is better than nothing

which app are you talking about? z-screen or screen cast?

z-screen is slow

yeah that's true btw you can still download screencast from somewhere it should work..

Is there any custom rom that installs/support the samsung framework?

mediasharing is done via linux server @ home

Mine is UE40ES6100W and i've no fullscreen/mirroring option on my TV menu.
I've wi-fi direct and it pairs but i just can't do anything that i already done with stock video app, only watch movies and in my case without subtitles so i use BubblePNP wich is excelent for that.
Just for curiosity i've investigated and stumbled into http://www.samygo.tv/
This weekend i'll search a little deeper to see what's this and what can we do with it.

I removed it again.
for now it didn't gave me much benefit, and it breaks the skype app.

Google Camera

Anyone have a download link for that? I have reinstalled it on over dozen ROMs with titanium, but not an option here. I am assuming app.apk's can be installed here.
For some reason, Google doesn't make it available here on play store.

Thanks. The difficulty was finding a site that would not try to install a download app and also some very intrusive cookies (not unlike those that XDA tries every time I set them up on another computer).

The photo sphere feature it not just a 360 panoramic photo. It includes the sky and ground too.

Surround Shot is not installed by default/ stock. You have to get it from the Samsung/galaxy store. I did not see it on my phone you are talking about this right ? https://fs02.androidpit.info/userfi...axy-S5-camera-download-surround-shot-w782.jpg
I just installed it as I was commenting on your post. It is only a 5 meg download and show up when you hit your settings button on the camera. This seems pretty cool, Thank you.
