I too experienced problems unlocking my I337M device (not AT&T, it's the Canadian version, hence the "M" in device model). After trying the keypad menu method and failing, I tried sending my IMEI number into a website to generate a key, but apparently the Samsung servers were experiencing a global delay and they refunded me after two days. (This delay was confirmed from multiple sources.) I then tried a tethered method using an application offered by an unlocking website. It cost $15 (compare at $35 for the IMEI method) and it worked instantly! This was after two days' worth of trying other methods. I won't give you the exact link, but if you google "fastgsm", it should come up. Make sure it's the tethered method. Good luck.
thanx!

The FASTGSM website says:- Warning
Check your phone’s software version by going to Settings > About device. If Baseband version ends with MI1 or later (e.g. MJ1), your phone is not supported for USB unlocking. Use a different unlock method or downgrade your phone’s firmware.
And iam on mf3. So i think it should work!( f comes before i)
I used the FastGSM tethered method, and it worked on my MF3 stock rooted rom. Granted, I do not have MF3 bootloaders, but it otherwise seemed to work. The instructions included inside the program have you dial *#0808#, but other instructions (like the ones on their website) have to go and install a bunch of crap to your phone and dial some other number, but I found the *#0808# will get you straight to the options you need to switch your phone over to DM mode. Also don't forget to switch it back to MTP + ADB (or MTP-only if you don't want ADB debugging on).
EDIT: also make sure you have a completely unfiltered network connection. I tried it on my work's "guest" wireless that has far fewer restrictions, but it blocks something within FastGSM's app that reaches out to their servers right before performing the unlock. It's a safety to avoid them handing out a bunch of free unlocks.
Also! I forgot that I didn't have a 100% success. It didn't unlock the phone by itself, but it did at least provide me the network unlock code. I manually entered this on my phone and it worked the first time. Don't try entering the code multiple times if it doesn't work the first time! Save a copy of the log it makes, but don't post it here (includes IMEI).

I have tried using their usb method and it didnt work and they give me full refund.
I tried free method many many many times with original firmware and the lastest and it failed everytime. I even got the unlock code from att and it also didnt work. I was able to get my phone replaced because of the unlock code didnt unlock the phone. They gave me hard time but i was able to get replacement.
The replacement had the latest firmware, so i didnt try the free method or usb unlock, i just got the code from att and it worked. The free unlock method def. does something that prevents the phone from being unlocked.

This is exactly how I have unlocked all of my devices on AT&T. I just chat with international support, tell them I am going out of country and would like to use my phone there. They ask for the IMEI and within a minute give me an unlock code. Never had anyone say no, and never had issues. Unlocked S2, S3, S4, Atrix. All phones except S3 purchased on contract and still no problems.
Idk why anyone would pay $35 for something that is so easy and free and the unlock code is guaranteed to work.

Can anyone Help me out here or try and lead me in the correct direction? So I tried to flash my Galaxy S4 i337M on BELL back to factory in odin. I used the I337MVLUAMDJ_I337MOYAAMDJ_I337MVLUAMDJ_HOME.tar.md5 But after flashing and booting up the phone Wi-Fi no longer works along with the phone either says "emergency calls only" or different SIM errors. I'm 100% sure the SIM works perfect I tested it in both or my other phones my Blackberry 9300 and my galaxy S3 and no problems. I have also downloaded that same bell rom from 3 different locations to see if rom downloaded incorrectly. The Phone is also rooted and has the philz_touch_5.18.2-jfltecan.tar.md5 recovery. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have Knox issued in download mode? If so, you need to install 4.3 firmware only

Means you tripped knox. Warranty is now void, and knox itself cannot be used, which has some corporate implications, but if you dont use active sync then it doesn't matter. Now that youve done that, enjoy flashing whatever you want. Cf auto root will give you root, then id install clockworkmod myself via rom manager, and look for a rom to flash. If you wanna keep stock can use xposed to tweak.

If you flashed the stock rom, you'll already have the stock kernel. Did you perform factory resets after you flashed stock? You'll want to, i find it help. If you flashed back to odin with stock, and didn't unlock at some point, should auto assign apn, etc.
Can you confirm eimi and apn are correct? Did you clean flash? Wiping davlik, cache, and factory reset?

So guys i figured out my problem..... Which really sucks... so I bought this phone off of kijiji. the reason why my phone shows up as unrecognized sim is because apparently the phone is stolen.... after just getting off the phone with bell I found this out. so I'm out $450 bucks... I don't know if its possible but is there maybe anyway for me to revive this phone still? change the imei # maybe? idk...
You could unlock it i suppose and use on another carrier, you'd need to purchase a new sim or get one on a plan from a new carrier, unless it gets listed somehow. Not much experience with stolen handset. Maybe go back thru kijiji support and push for a refund.

I don't really wanna put anymore money into this phone if unlocking it doesn't work. and I tried to get a hold of the guy that sold the galaxy to me but no such luck. I think I just have a mini tablet on my hands? either that or a paper weight.

. I would unlock, and see if you can borrow a friends sim on a different carrier to make a few calls. If it works, try and get the new carrier to sell you a SIM. they may or may not, depends if the device comes back stolen for them too.
there are guides here you can use to unlock. Usually just a code and combination of presses to unlock. Don't need to pay for it. Search out a few guides. Isn't all that hard, and theres a few apps that do it too.

so just as you recommended I went on you tube and found a free way to unlock my phone. but even after unlocking it and using both a valid Koodo and Fido sims from my friends neither of them worked. both left with the same problem "unregistered sim / emergency calls only" So is there any real way to get my phone fixed? I dont think its possible to change the IMEI? not to imagine that its probably not legal... Any idea if I was to get a smashed s4 even if it was the i337M and say it was the US i337main motherboard would swapping it work?
So I looked everywhere and no one seems to know how to unlock a straighttalk s4

when i ran the network unlock tool it was already unlocked the boot loader wasn't locked either the only thing we need now is rom development to include our devices. I have twrp and used towel root to root the device.

I'm dealing with this same issue right now. Bought an SM-S975L for straight talk last night and I want to use it on Metro PCS. Metro says all is well on their end and I just have to wait, but all I see is "Invalid Sim" on the status bar. How did you unlock the SM-S975L? There's very limited information around the internet about this model. I'm tearing my hair out and the wifey is driving around without a phone. Figured you (or anybody else) could point me in the right direction.

LOL, the $249 deal was hard to pass up. I got a couple of them, one for me and one for the misses. She'll be fine with the 4.3 that is on the phone out of the box, but I wanted to convert mine to be like the I9505G (GPE). I was thinking it would be simple as I've heard all of the LTE models were like the I9505 and they seem fairly broken into. But I think this is more like the SGH-I337 and maybe boot loader locked, but looking into ways to test that. I did root it already using towelroot. Installed SuperSU and Titanium Backup and root is working, now so see if I can get CMW and a GPE rom on it. If I find a way I'll be sure it is mentioned here as a working method for the SM-S975L. I'm not using it yet as I have my GT-I9500 that I'm using, but seeing better support for the qualcomm for custom roms I decided to get it. The I9500 should get Android 5.0 official rom first though.
For what it's worth, I just picked up this phone from the Black Friday sale, and I would *really* like to put a custom ROM on it. I won't even pretend to be proficient in this. How difficult would it be to convert the custom ROMs on other models of Galaxy S4's to this one?
I am unsure my self the closest variant is the att s4. Both the att one and this one is bootloader locked. Since we have 4.3 version of Android safestrap would be likely what to use. I am afraid of this my self so I have not attempted it

It is the SM-S975L with a T-Mobile ROM and the custom kernel. The SGH-I337 ROM does not work, it erases the system partition every flash.
Awesome work aromerblz. Anything special you had to do to load the ROM with the S975 baseband...or any issues you're experiencing? Will be testing this out later in the week when I get some free time.

That is cool, at the very least its Kit Kat. I still would like to find a method to convert completely to GT-I9505G. Just no time. I'm hoping with jtag access it can be completely reconfigured, then just make sure the IMEI is set to that the device should be. Ideally the only way to see it was a SM-S975L would be to look under the battery. I don't really care about removing the SIM lock though, I plan to stick with my ST SIM. I did get a new BYOD SIM and it is showing 4G now (Not sure if it should indicate LTE like old ATT S3 does) as my old BYOD SIM would not and ST support said that I could not move the included SIM to any other device as it would be bound to the S975L.
I would love to get off the Tracfone ROM. I'm going to assume that Samsung/Tracfone will never upgrade this phone beyond Android 4.3. The last native update was in February of this year, and it was just a minor patch. I'm not too concerned about unlocking, but being able to use a different ROM seems to be a step in the right direction. If anyone could post a tutorial or what ROMs they used, that would be extremely helpful. I've looked everywhere and this info is not available anywhere.
For what it's worth, someone over on GSM Forums has claimed to have flashed the AT&T ROM too. They also were unable to unlock it, however. Unfortunately, I can't post the direct link until I have hit 10 posts That poster has been inactive for two months, and before that, he was inactive for three years. I first flashed a T-Mobile TWRP recovery v27.1, but the latest v28 works fine. After that i downloaded the TMB firmware NB4 from sammobile.com created a custom rom with the android kitchen. After that the usual flashing of the rom via TWRP. Without a custom kernel the phone does not boot up. So i used the ktoonsez kernel. Once booted i rooted with towelroot and pjone has been working fine. Only things to know is that when booting up it says "Kernel is not SeAndroid"
"Set Warranty Bit: Kernel"
As that specifies it trips the knox flag. Which i dont care if it does as am not in the USA.
You used the TWRP for jfltetmo, correct? Did you use Odin to flash it?
Also, this might seem obvious, but even if I do this, it'll still work/remain locked to ST/AT&T, correct?

Yeah TWRP for jfltetmo. The jflteatt does not seem to work at all on this model. I flashed with odin, no need to use safestrap on this phone as i think the bootloader is not locked like the one found on the SGH-I337, although its the identical variant.
Yes the phone remains locked to ST/AT&T. A friend of mines was able to get the unlock cod for this phone but even with the unlock code its not a permanent lock. Reason is because you can unlock and be able to use all the features available to the phone but once restarted it asks for the code again. Not sure why it does that, I believe the radio has to be the culprit for that here. Not sure how TracFone will handle the unlocks for this phone after 01/01/15. does the same even on full stock TF firmware.

Hello all,
Attached are modified factory roms that will flash an at&t or t-mobile phone to an unlocked phone. This means no more bloatware and in my case much better handoff between the lte bands.
These images reuse the carrier bootloader (I'm working on it) but everything else from the radio to the rom is from the unlocked priv.

Directions: Unzip files. Hold power and volume down until phone reboots to fastboot. Launch flashall.bat. Follow instructions. This WILL delete your data so have a backup or don't I'm your boss. Wait. Done.
As usual I am not responsible for you bricking your phone. That being said even if the wrong file is flashed the phone gets stuck at the fastboot screen where you can flash the right file.

This does not unlock your phone, this is an unlocked rom with no carrier bloatware.
You must already have an unlocked phone. If your phone is paid off call your carrier and ask for the pin.

Just out of curiosity, will this be possible to do on a Verizon model? Obviously not flashing the ones above but making a VZ version?

That one wont. This one might.
Disclaimer I dont have a vzw phone so can't test it, but pretty much I'm making the same modification I made to the others. It should work.
If you could give it a go and let me know.
If it doesn't work this file will get you back to where you should be

I haven't bought a priv yet. But i came across a killer deal for a VZ model that's I'd be using on tmo. I'm going to be snagging it. But will test for sure and let you know. I am just trying to read up on the phone before ordering it on how to get rid of bloat and whatnot without root. Thank you very much for making the file.

I tried it and it worked. However, once it boots it will install a software update which takes you back to the bloated VZW version. Perhaps there's a way to block that update?

Totally possible. If we had root just modify the host file and set the verizon server update ip to localhost. You should be able to install DNS66 and do something similar. This will take digging on your end to figure out what the update IP is though.
I have an ATT Priv, so if I flash this I'll get next time OTA from BlackBerry instead of ATT? Saw the one above with the Verizon update and went back to bloated version.
Reporting back in to verify that it worked flawlessly on both at&t and t-mobile variants I have. Now if only we could get root lol
Thank you so much for your effort
I have an ATT branded Priv which got unlocked from ATT directly and has successfully installed this ROM. It works perfectly without any ATT bloatwares, but this built is old and when I check for system update it shows my system is up to date. However the most recent built for unlocked factory image is AAL202 according to the blackberry official reload software website.
So does this ROM OTA updates via ATT server or directly from Blackberry server?

dude what about the firmware version? and update status?
is there one available for the AAL230 update? and is the at&t version provided here applicable on my priv with AAL230 update installed?

Hello all,
Attached are modified factory roms that will flash an at&t or t-mobile phone to an unlocked phone. This means no more bloatware and in my case much better handoff between the lte bands.
These images reuse the carrier bootloader (I'm working on it) but everything else from the radio to the rom is from the unlocked priv.
Version: AAJ919
AT&T -> unlocked hybrid: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=673368273298947044
T-Mobile -> unlocked hybrid: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=457095661767153589

AT&T runs a newer version of android then the international. If you want stockish android with no carrier bloat go international.

Send me a moto z play and we shall see. Otherwise sorry I can't test it.
With the very recent Verizon Priv update can the de-bloated image be updated?
I have an "unlocked" SGS7 edge that I bought from a friend and he had it with Sprint. I tried using on AT&T network but it asked me for an MSL code in order to be able to change the APN settings to the AT&T ones. I was able to get the MSL from someone who know more about phones than I do. After this, I am able to use the network and data from AT&T but it still has some features blocked because I can't get past the "Hands Free Activation" from Sprint. These features are the hotspot and voicemail among other.
So my question is if I can completely delete Sprint from my phone by flashing the AT&T firmware for the S7 edge onto my device.
All help is welcome.

Read the back of ur phone if it says 935u then it's an unlocked version.
Use the xda samfirm tool put

Region ATT
It will download the most recent firmware from samsung servers.
Set to auto
Flash the files in that zip with odin.

It says 935P, am I gonna have trouble with it? I'm not really tech savvy to be honest.

Nvm ur stuck on sprint model it can't be changed to any other network because the phone model doesn't support flashing to any others.
