Google Now vs Xperia Home - Xperia Z1 General

I am just wondering what you guys prefer Google Now Launcher or just the regular Xperia Home. Reason for asking is that I have always been on Xperia Home and I like the idea of trying out the Google Now Launcher, I would stay on Xperia Home, but I find that google now while on Xperia Home is a little laggy, when saying ok google.

Personally, i still prefer xperia launcher because of one thing - in the drawer you simply arrange the apps wherever you want.
But in GNL, you will need to paid for it in order to get this feature.
Im wondering why all the google launcher do not have this feature...
If you compare smoothness, definitely i would vote for GNL.

But xperia home is smooth and very straight forward. I don't find any issues at my first time i used the launcher.

For me Acrion 3 launcher is the best

Wait you need to pay for features on Google Now Launcher? Never heard of that before

NOVA!! Uooh this is about GNL and Xperia launcher...:silly: Well.. Xperia Home is stable and have zero problem for me. While GNL is smooth(didn't used it much).

Nova launcher with Lollipop theme

Funny, the OP is asking about Google Now launcher and Xperia Home, yet you guys keep mentioning launchers which have zero to do with the discussion.
Question: How is the weather?
Answer: I like tropical islands.

If choose between those two launcher, I will choose Xperia Launcher.
Google laucher cannot run without google search, and I disable google search.

Nova FTW.

I think they are talking about a paid app to mod the GNL.

The icons are already PNGs with transparent background. Which size do they need to have for the app drawer? These are 78x78.

I think you can just replace the icon in the respective APK's by these icons.
I want to replace the icons in the com.sonyericsson.extras.liveview.apk

[Q] App to type in status bar?

I'm quite interested in the star notification from twitter when someone favorites a tweet of mine. I like to have one always up there in the left of notisfication bar. Maybe there is a root app that will let me type anything I want, and anywhere in the status bar.
P.S: something like springtomize for the iPad (cydia)
Meh...

Mmm... None of the apps you mentioned above really helped, but I managed to find in xposed an app "Xposed StatusBar Text" wich is really impressive, and let's say it can almost do what I wanted, pretty satisfying. And of course here's a "Thanks" for helping.

[DISCUSSION] CyanogenOS 13.0 with MOD

Cyanogen Inc. demonstrated CyanogenOS 13.0 on the OPO at the Mobile World Congress with deeper system level app support called MOD, which will be coming out next month. The Microsoft apps integration is now much more pervasive. So what do you think about it? Are you happy at receiving COS 13.0 or perceive it as further commercialized bloatware integration?
Commercialized bloatware integration. This.
I think it will be just lots of bloatware, but I'll give however a try; I'm still satisfied by stock 12.1 COS
tbh it's gonna be awesome, love it

From the video, seemed very nice. I'm looking forward to it.
Some of it seems ok, but i see a lot of headache coming down the road.
maybe even more battery drain...
Actually they want to include it not as bloat but as features under the hood.. They said they want user would not install 100 apps for making things, but system itself should do this.. And mods will be optional i think (except microsoft i think)XD

Look again your post above, and probably you will understand.
Now, back on topic here
Well, on 12.1 you can remove everything, I assume you can do on 13 too.
I don't think it will impact a lot on performance. Luckily we have a very mod-friendly device that, in case, can host lighter version of the ROM.

Exactly there are so many options for this device even when it comes to CM so if you don't like the Microsoft bloat just use the CM13 Nightlies (there Sultan and many other CM derivatives) . There's Omni, Dirty Unicorns and soon Exodus based on AOSP too.
Personally I'll try COS13 just to see how it looks and performs and if it satisfies me I'll stay on it for awhile.
The OP clearly doesn't like the new additions thanks to the loaded terminology he used ?

To the people complaining about the bloat, does that seem like a slow device in the video? Not to me... Did they not stress that it isn't about apps, but about deeply integrated features that replace said apps. The way it's shaping up, it's looking to be a good thing. Feel like people are losing it because of Microsoft and to be completely honest, I don't know why. The apps they've released on iOS and Android in recent years have been great, giving even native apps a run for their money. But even if.. What is bloat? Is this not xda? Do not pray for bloat-free phones my friends. Pray to be better modders lol.

Why are people complaining, about some news into the new upcomming COS13 with Mod.
As I always have done > If you don't like the app, then uninstall it or disable it.
I'm personal look ahead to the stuff and ofcource the new Rom also
So my point are > Stay cool > Wait to see what it brings you
Probably gonna stick with other ROMs, tired of their Boxer and MS bloat

How do you block a number?

Is there any option to block an unwanted numbers at all other than a third party apps?
I have created the same post as yours, up for now no respond, so I think Mifavor don't have this feature.

Woah! Long range bump! Google dialer has built in call blocking on the B12 Oreo beta!
Axon 7 firmware got number blocker and sms blocker...sometimes it ask me what i want to do with it

is anyone else missing the new Gestures in their 6T?

I tried installing the new apk and still nothing.
Bump.
No reason to bump. Especially in the same day. Give it time to get into people's hands
I got the gestures on the open beta 6. They work very well.

That is very very weird. My friend who picked up the phone says navigation is working. He ran the app. He also did some adb.
The only gesture I am missing is the swipe up and to the right to switch back to prior app. This sucks because I used double tap for recent app all the time with the nav buttons
