Hi there,
So, My dad just bought this beast. first impression is really amazing. So, To get started, I cutted down my sim card into micro-sim and Inserted it in yureka. after booting, It shows no sim card. When I search for networks and Click on any network for registration, It says "Your sim card does not support on this connection" something like that. I have checked the sim and it is working in other smartphones.
Just in case, I have cm11 in it. Not updated yet. any help would be appreciated. Sorry, If i posted in wrong section
EDIT: CHECK THE ATTACHMENT. Sim slot looks different as compared to others. I am from india.
Test the sim to both slots and see if one of them working. And if no slot works out, then try other micro sim to test sim working. If that too not working, means slot are not functioning. Need hardware replacement or whatever you can get.
Well, I already tried in both of them. Not sure about other micro sims.

I have N4 from T-Mobile, but I decided to give it to my mother. Since she had standard SIM, we went to her provider and they cut it into micro SIM. But when I insert this new micro SIM card into phone, it isn't recognized. It shows there is no SIM card at all. My card works. Is this a know problem? How can it be fixed?

Cutting isn't perfect, especially with older SIMs... It is entirely possible to render the SIM unusable by cutting it, granted it usually works, especially with newer SIMs, but not always. Verify the contacts match up by comparing to your SIM and if it does then the most likely cause is the cutting ruined the SIM and you will need to contact her provider for a new SIM. There is no known issue with using a cut SIM other than this.

The Nexus 4 doesn't like cut sims. Although they can work, many users have issues.
So I currently have a moto x which uses nano sim cards. I might pick up a S5 which of course uses micro sim. I still have my old, now inactivated micro sim card. Can I still use that or will I have to go to a Verizon store to get a new micro sim? thanks. Problem is I don't have the nano sim card removal kit for my X so I don't know how to remove that. So I wasn't sure if I just removed it, an popped in the old micro sim, would that work.

Nano sim won't work in the S5. Micro will. Whether it would be best to use an old Micro-Sim, I can't say. I have a new one for mine and it works just fine.

Nano sim will work with a Nano-micro adapter. Usually with our old micros, they make use get new ones to activate service on a phone (I've never had them let me use one that's been deactivated before, your mileage may vary though).
I recommend going to a Verizon Store, you'll get the proper SIM card, with the proper activation and provisioning, I had issues transferring SIM cards from phone to phone, like call dropping, phone not ringing, slow download speed or spotty 4G connection.
I swapped sim card on my cell phone, i have n9005 (running 4.4.2 TouchWiz Rooted) and works on every network in my country,
the other sim card worked fine, i kept on swapping 2 sims because sometimes i had to use 3g on the other network.
Today it suddly stopped, now my both sim cards are not working.
I have restarted my phone, pulled out battery and also reinserted my sim card, no success.
Any solution?
EDIT: I fixed it, thanks

Actually my network mode was WCDMA and had no 3g signals where i was..
So I noticed after taking my phone off airplane mode for so long that I have a no sim card inserted error
The thing is I do have a sim card inserted and the weird thing is when ever I take out the sim card, instead of the bars getting an X for disconnectedness, apparently I still have service. and I've been reflashing my tmobile d801 to gsm and not cdma
I've reflashed 3 different ROMS to see if it would get rid of this error but it hasn't.
I have taken my phone apart to see if the Sim card slot was loose and it's not and all the pins are fine
I've taken the sim out and turned the phone off for 1 minute and that didn't help
I have blew air in the sim card slot for curiosity and nothing.
I'm all out of ideas, anyone can help?
Could it be the modem?
So I purchased a used note 3 ( N900A )
I just switch to straight talk. So I had a full size sim and cut it down to fit my note 3 . When I try to go into my apn setting it says insert a sim or something like that.
I know the sims registering , to the phone I can read stuff from it.
So has any one went down the road I am . Is my sim locked or something like that.
Also there is an app called "Sim App." it will first say icc-id and give what looks like about 15-16 numbers then click ok it reads imei check sum gives 4 digits next reads random number gives 8 numbers.
then asks for an unlock code . If entered wrong it will say you have X amount of trys lefts.
Does this have anything to do with why my sim card is not registering to the phone?
Do any sim card works in the phone? Does your sim card work in other phones? Was the phone tested with a sim card before purchase? Was the phone locked to AT&T?

Yes if I switch the card to the other phone . It works.
Im not sure if this matters the orginal phone was a throw away`alcatel. Its not a smart phone.
Are you using the SIM card in another phone that also uses a micro sim? Does the note 3 recognize any SIM cards?

I only have this one sim .
The note is reading the sim card with certain aps . You know how if you up power up a phone , missing a sim it will say so if you pull down the top banner usually with a message like insert sim. When you pull down the top banner it doesn't say that . There is no warning about missing a sim . So it recognizes it has one . I can read stuff off the sim card when i open certain aps that are meant to access sim cards but when I go to change APN setting it will say insert sim card to access network settings.
Without another sim card to try in the phone, it could be the way the sim card was cut or there is something wrong with the phone.
Is the phone sim unlocked? Did you try a sim card in the phone before buying it?

I dont think the phones sim is unlocked.
No I didnt try a sim . It was from a family member so Im not to worried. The sim card works in my throw away straight talk phone.
How do you unlock the phones sim?
BTW thank you for your help.
In order to determine if the phone is sim unlocked, power off the phone, insert a sim from another carrier, and power up the phone. If phone asks for a network unlock code, the phone is not sim unlocked and you will need to get an unlock code.
Was the Note 3 n900a from AT&T?
