Try flashing cwm by chenglu or philz. Both will give you root access as well. Either way you seem don't mind flagging knox to 0x1. Is your phone international n9005 and network unlocked?

Just the same as you did using cf auto root but you'll need this instead.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2454079
Choose the one either jb or kk.
Did you turn off reactivation lock before trying to root?
Afraid that's the one causing your phone to hangup at the screen. Remove battery and turn on your phone if it can boot normally in OS

Ok, so my reactivation lock is off. I re-downloaded the CF-Auto-Root and I got my phone to work.
Now, with the CWM Based recovery, do I place into the PDA slot in Odin? Or is it not necessary anymore?
On root checker, it hangs and doesn't give me a definite answer
So I'm pretty sure my phone isn't rooted, but for now, its working fine.

So you flash again cf auto root successfully?. If yes your phone should be rooted now so you dont need cwm anymore except you want to flash custom rom or mods.
Can't remember when i flash cf last time whether there is superSU in the app drawer or not. Can you see it in the phone?. Try install superSU from Playstore and update binary and rerun root checker.
Still if you want to flash cwm just put it in pda

I installed SuperSu and restarted my phone and that, opened up root checker and BAM, I'm rooted.
If I were to install CWM, would I need to rewrite my binary for SuperSU

First check setting>general>about phone. Check what is android version either 4.3 or 4.4.2.
If it is 4.3 download either the followings

Guys, i need help. I am new to samsung phone and have no idea how to root my note 3. Which method should I use to root my note 3 safely. Thanks in advance! CHEERS!
Download this file ( http://download.chainfire.eu/352/CF-Root/CF-Auto-Root/CF-Auto-Root-hlte-hltexx-smn9005.zip ), then follow this instructions:
" BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
All downloads contain .tar.md5 files flashable in ODIN as PDA.
Make sure your device is in ODIN download mode (usually you can get there by holding VolDown+Home+Power when the device is turned off), then start the included Odin3-v1.85.exe file, press the PDA button, select the .tar.md5 file, and click Start. You can find more detailed instructions and assistance at XDA.
A modified recovery and cache partition will be flashed, which will install (only) SuperSU, thenclean-up the cache partition and re-flash the stock recovery.
For the root to work, the device must reboot into recovery. Most devices will do this automatically after flashing these files, but in case that does not happen, please boot into recovery manually."

I would just towelroot it.
First go to download mode and flash KERNEL_N9005XXUEND3.tar.md5
Now download towelroot.apk
Root it
Now flash latest kernel for your handset. Voila, rooted and Knox 0X0.
I am online from my phone, so you must google for links
Best regards
The chainfire way is the one I used to root my n9005 so I'm suggesting it. I have heared much about the towelroot method but I have never tried it myself, that's why I didn't mention it...
. @identifyaw, the fact that towelroot does not void your knox warranty is very important because you can retrive your warranty if needed, but as i said, I have never tried this method and i cant ensure you that it works. The decision is yours...

Ok so I will be giving you guys a tutorial on how to root the Samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition running the latest version of android 5.1.1 specifically the SM-P600, SM-P601, & P605. I will be using the CF- AutoRoot By Chainfire.
Here are images if you need help
Preparations
Download the CF- AutoRoot File for your device
P600
P601
P605
When the download is complete, you have to extract the zip file
Make sure you have Android Debugging Enabled on your device
Boot into Odin/Bootloader mode by holding Vol Down+Power+Home at the same time, then press Vol up when the triangle appears
Procedure
Open the folder you extracted the autoroot files in, right click on the Odin 3 Application file and run as administrator
Now select the AP button in Odin, and select the autoroot file
Now connect your device to your computer, You should see Added in the log, and the box on top should turn blue
Important Make sure that under options only Auto Reboot, & F. Reset Time is ticked, un check everything else
Now press Start, your device should reboot, and you should see a red android pirate and some commands running
Don't worry if your device reboots a couple of times its normal
You can un-plug you device when it boots, and Odin should say pass, after that exit Odin, and your done!
Go in your apps, and you should see SuperSU, update the binaries if needed, to make sure root was successful, download root checker from the play store, and verify root
Your all done! You have successfully rooted your device!
Troubleshooting
If your device is stuck in a boot loop, hold vol up+Power and scroll down to Reset Data, and confirm, your device will be completely wiped, you can try to root again and see if it is successful
If a factory reset did not work you have to re-flash your firmware via Odin here is a tutorial on how to do it
If you get a message 'Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing' while booting repeat the procedure, but instead of the CF AutoRoot file select the stock recovery file and flash it. Once your device reboots it should be fine.
If you have any problems please comment below, and i will try to help you through them, and Thanks! Happy Rooting!
After installing CF Root, Superuser.apk is not installed and root access is available to every app without notification. No Superuser app is being installed. If I install 2.52 beta or 2.46 or the play store version, root becomes broken. Can't figure out why. System: DBT P605XXU1EOI5_P605DBTEOJ1_P605XXU1EOI5 and NEE P605XXU1EOI5_P605OXAEOI5_P605XXU1EOI5. Did that with 2.66 Beta - worked (for) now. Will report back if any further problems occur. Had to perform a data, Dalvik, cache, system wipe, reinstall stock, then CF root. Then it worked out, finally. Just deleting system / caches wasn't enough. Weird.
I still can not find where to download the stock firmware. All those sites either need premium or broken link. Anyone can help? stock firmware for P601. Thanks a lot in advance

If you're downloading from Sammobile, my advice is to use a Download Manager. I'm currently using Download Accelerator Plus, which not only allows to Pause/Resume downloads from SamMobile (it will ask you for your login credentials to SamMobile when you start de download), but it will also try to connect to multiple servers to download the files faster. I'm currently downloading the firmware for my Galaxy Note 2014 LTE from their servers at 1,5MB/s after having needed to reboot my PC
Hope it helps
P.S. I'm assuming you're using Windows, but if you're using another OS google for download managers for your OS and I'm certain you'll find something that'll help you

First time didn't let the pass message appear on Odin before disconnecting the cable (my bad - been doing this for so long that sometimes overlook some steps xD) and the SuperSU app wasn't installed.
After factory resetting the device and redoing the process a second time (paying attention to what was doing xD) it worked like a charm!
Thanks man ;D
I rooted my SM-P605 with latest CF-AutoRoot 5.1.1 but I can see something wrong.
SuperSu app is correctly installed and working (I'm using Seeder and tried Xposed) but:
- cannot give root permission to Clean Master (every time I try it fails)
- each time I reboot TWRP it asks me to install SuperSu.

It works (I've got a P605) but while I had been rooting it stuck on the Samsung logo so I had to download and install the stock firmware again and repeat the process of granting administrator rights.
Open up su and tells me it cannot find su binary, uninstalled it from play store and open again and same issie.
I have a refurbished LTE version from Tmobile. Will this work with my model P607t? I have read that the P605 model is almost the same as the P607T. Also heard root breaks S Pen functionality.

basically the same phone just the FD has an extra sim slot
thats all
you can flash anything F related on FD, even the stock firmware
the following steps i do to root my SM-G935F and i don't will miss it.
the first method (TWRP with supersu-zip file and dm-verity disabler install was failed, bootloop)
The second try with CF-Autoroot have rooted it.
Bevore rooting with CF auto-root it's needed that you activate the developer options with oem-unlock and usb-debugging.
Than you make a factory reset about the android-own system recovery (home, vol+ and power)
at next you must change in the download mode without boot the "fresh" system and then flash the CF-Autoroot with odin.
Than you can start the fresh system without any first changes bevore rooting process have starts. The securityLogAgent warns you about unauthorized changes. you can disable this notice. And you must disable samsung knox too because it can behinds supersu. a example s-health will not work with rooted devices. one file edited and it works again.
see here. https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/how-to/guide-how-to-s-health-devices-knox-t3543306
In the system app menu you can only stop it. Than you go fast to supersu, this app disable it.
