I am going to be taking my phone to the verizon store because the camera button doesnt work on the side. I remapped the button in settings to the voice dial button but the camera button doesnt work for any application. My question is this. I am running the stock MR1 upgrade, but i have unlocked GPS. Will this be a problem with them replacing my phone, or should I uninstall the GPS hack? thanks.
Well I cannot say yes or no but as a tech once I determine the part of function is not working I have no need to roam through a device looking at other issues not related to the problem like the gps...
just my two cents..
Hi all!
I have a problem with my HD2, that it won't lock after ending the call which I received while it was locked.
I'm aware there are threads about this, but none has a definite solution. So I contacted HTC support, and they told me to flash newest ROM. Before I do that, I want to check with you will it really help.
So please, try following procedure, and tell me your results:
1. Lock the phone.
2. Have someone call you.
3. Phone should unlock, allowing you to answer.
4. Answer.
5. End call (doesn't matter if it's hardware button, red end button, or caller hangs up)
6. What happens now? Is your phone locked (as it should be according to manual and common sense) or is home screen shown, and phone is not locked.
Thank you. Please also state your ROM.
Followed your steps. It really doesn't relock the phone o.o.
I'm on Dutty's 1.8

I have the same issue, tried have used several roms and none lock after hangup. its a pain when using headset and the phone is in my pocket...
Thank you for your replies. It strange how it doesn't bother more people, to me it's almost as big as SMS issue. We should all write to HTC.
being as i don't actualy use the phone for talking to people much i haven't noticed this but yes i totally agree this is bad
it probably doesnt bother many people as all you have to do is press the hang-up hard-key and it locks the screen...
I am running the latest 1.66 WWE standard ROM - same here remains unlocked after call.
I have tried pocketshield which does lock after call BUT it is VERY VERY buggy. It keeps changing settings on its own and at the moment I cannot access the keypad in a call so I can't use an automated service where you press number - pulling my hair out.
I have tried Dutty, Miri and Leo Lite Roms - they don't address the issue.
This is a major problem for me - never occurred with my HD (blackstone) so why has HTC introduced this and not sorted it????????
I'm using official 1.66 ROM amd the HD2 does not lock after a call, especially bothers me as I use Bluetooth pretty much all the time. resorted to using touch lock pro and lockandoff. setup touch lock pro to use tapi, and also to run lockandoff on hangup.

The keypad issue is resolved in the newest beta 3.2.9 (http://forums.jdbp.mobi/phorum/read.php?3,7368). This version also allows to "auto unlock" by using the proximity sensor which is very handy on the HD2.
About changing settings on its own... no idea, never happened to me
do you know if there is a registry string to make sure to lock the phone immediately after a call is from the screen or hardware button?
Thanks
A very simple solution (although a bit boring in time) is to use a password to unlock your phone. If a password has been used, the phone locks right after a call ends.
I know it's not the funniest thing, having to enter a password each time you want to unlock your phone, but hey, it does the trick!
And yes, it really is bad! Much cheaper and less sophisticated devices do that... Pfff...
both s2u2 and pocketshield have this ability. s2u2 is free, but pocketshield can be had for about 7.50. Much more functional than the stock lockscreens.
pocketshield I tried but I hate the screen because it hides the taskbar, possible that there is a registry string?
I downloaded S2U2 and tried it. Looks like a nice app at first, but:
a) It removes the "mute ringer" button when receiving a call. You may not see the exact same message, cause I'm translating from Greek, but I am talking about the gray button under the answer/reject slider.
b) It removes the "silent when I pick up" option. Again translation from Greek, I am talking about the option to turn down the ringer when you lift the phone.
c) After the application is removed (eventually, I couldn't live without the two forementioned features), I had the same problem I had before, the phone wouldn't lock with the "power" button, nor would it lock after some time of inactivity.
Code:
showpost.php?p=8029180&postcount=14
I had to hard-reset it once again...
Such a shame...
Seems that whenever I disconnect a phone call, the call log is automatically displayed. Other phones I've used return you to the home screen when disconnecting a phone call. Why would I need to view the call log after hanging up (I know who I just talked to so why would I need to see it...). I know it's easy to press the button to close the log but this is just one of those little quirks I find annoying.
Is there a setting I'm missing to return to the home screen when a call is finished?
Thanks for any help.
Stock Nexus 4 on 4.2.1
I dunno... I kinda like it staying in the phone app. And it kind of makes sense if you're disconnected and need to call back (or need to make another call and get back to that person).
I have no idea why anyone ever thought that was a good idea, but there's an app to fix that. I've used it on all my Android phones, and it works well.

Just for info: Some Custom ROMs have a setting in the dialer app to exit after the call instead of going to the call log. I don't know why anyone would want that either...
Thanks to all for the replies. I ended up creating a Tasker profile to take it back to the home screen upon ending a phone call. (works great).
Probably in case of dropped calls? I can see that being the reason.
I have searched and then made this thread. There were some people with home button issue but None of those were related to my problem.
PHONE MODEL - GT-I9505 ( International version)
I have had my S4 for a couple of months now and I am addicted to flashing. I flash a test lot of new roms.
MY PROBLEM
When i make or I get a call, Once i pick the call and put my phone to the ear and after the proximity sensor turns off the screen i cannot use my home button or powerbutton to wake the screen during call. For example if i want to cut the call During a call. I simply cannot do it. Sometimes the home button will respond, Some times it wont
For the home button to work The other party has to cut the all only when my phone detects that the call has been disconnected it wakes up. Looks like the home button stops functioning ?
I dont know what is happening.
I thought it was the rom issue, But it isnt. I tried two different roms. Did the same behaviour.
Any advice or anything to help me will be appreciated. Is my hardware damaged?
My phone is never dropped and is very new like .
ROMS I TRIED
Wanam Lite.
Cynogenmod 10.1
same problem. any solutions?
I am having the same issue with my home button. Won't press during calls. Did you ever find a solution? Thanks!

Go to Apps - Settings - My device - Call - Untick Turn off screen during calls :highfive:
This is something I hadn't encountered before--I find that none of my dialers (the marshmallow stock dialer or my usual app DW Contacts) sends a DTMF tone when I am in a call. Example: "press 1 to talk to Jack". I can press 1 but nothing happens on the other end, doesn't matter who I am calling.
Second problem: when I'm in a call, I don't see any options for hanging up. Maybe this is some strange marshmallow "optimization"? I've looked in the settings for stock dialer and DW Contacts but don't see anything to remove the option to hang up.
UPDATE: I flashed this same ROM but the 6.0 non-debloated version. The DTMF tones are now working properly and I'm getting DTMF tones (both on my end and registering when I call a number and press a key in response to the menu) and an option for hangup (a red "hang up" icon in the middle of the screen.) I don't know if this means the February update caused a problem, or possibly something was missing in the debloated version. It could certainly be that the SIM card which was previously in another phone wasn't working properly with this phone until I called AT&T and asked them to "register" my Pure on this SIM. if the latter, it took a while, since I was still having the problem an hour later when I downloaded and flashed the non-debloated version.
Anyway, that's how I solved this problem, if it's useful to anyone.
Thanks. Been having same issue!

Thanks. I've been having the same issue on my new Moto X Pure (rooted on Sprint), and was starting to freak out today when I realized that my phone wasn't being recognized for menu options AND there was no way to hang up from a call.
Fingers crossed that this will work for me as well with the non-debloated version.
