I'm downloading the pre rooted ROM now, and I will try to uninstall the useless apps to create as "vanilla" a version of Android as possible. Will report back as to how it goes!
i tried to put greenify and use it to block system bloats....and i notice something it uses more battery usage...maybe if your rooted is therea difference ? im not rooted for now...the orientations of greenify is like the same orientation of zenfone stocks settings under settings ...apps..disable apps...so by using more apps like greenify it uses more rams thus create more battery usage...thats what i experience...dont know about you guys though...and lastly do you experience great more battery life with greenify on rooted ? tnx
Okay so I have a rooted phone and I have uninstalled many default system and Asus apps and now am left with a pretty clean android, except for the zenui which I can't remove.
The attached screenshots show the apps that are running after a fresh restart. As you can see I have a 2gb model and a healthy amount of ram left for apps.

I am rooted and uninstalled a lot of the stock apps but there's no significant change in battery life I must say.
based on the pictures above i must say it does not really help alot..compared to mine non rooted....o.s lolipop 5 is the real culprit here i think...well im back no no greenify and use the systems built in apps disable tru setting....notice less battery usage now...well have to do is wait then for new updates thanks again.
I uninstall/greenify anyways because it bothers me to have apps I don't use running in the background and eating ram and battery, even if the end result of removing them isn't necessarily positive.

I will provide some method to save battery life to an extent
This method is suitable for most of device running Android 4.0.3 or above
Basic Requirements
Xposed Framework
Amplify
Ad Away
Root.Click to read how to rooo your zenfone 2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/root-zenfone-2-t3142597/post61523207#post61523207
Greenify
Basic things you must notice before starting
Display
Brightness of your phone is a major factor for the draining of tje battery. The more the Display Brightness is the more the battery used. So i suggest you to switch from auto brightness to manual.
Wifi
Even though the wifi is not in use, your phone searches for available wifi networks available.
You can Switch of this feature by going to Wifi>Options(on the top right corner of your phone)>Advanced>Scanning always available(off).
Location
Turn off the Location Service when not in use.You can also set the location to 'Device Only" in settings.
Thses are the basic things for battery saving.
GREENIFY
For using this you need Xposed .
Download:- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3034811
Once you have the donation package of greenify with you ,you need to activate the Greenify Xposed Module in Xposed. Then enable boost mode and experimental Features.

Not at all ... I juast tried so many apps and found these. Amplify and greenify are some common apps. But only thing i contributed here is the ways for using amplify. Other steps are some common ones
Thanks for the effort!
I can't seem to find some of the Amplify items.
I'm guessing that they're app-specific though (ie. the .facebook alarms are only because you have the Facebook app installed)?
And I can't find any of the services in order to disable them, do you know what app they're affiliated with?

I'm looking for an application that allows force-closing running applications, as its running down the memory and making the performance slow down. I'm not a huge fan of slowdowns, if anyone know of such a app, please type in it the comments below.
Thanks!
..
Thanks you for providing me this download link. I will try this out when I get home tonight, looking forward to seeing it work. Why don't you submit it to the Google Play Store?
..
id be willing to try this when i get home as well. what app did you modify exactly? id like to look into it on the play store before i get home and install yours on my shield.
..
Hey man so i got to play with this a little bit last night. Thanks so much! It will definitely help when im testing out new apps and troubleshooting issues. But to be honest, using the app last night made me realize something......
The shield is pretty damn good at managing ram on its own. With no easy way to force close apps prior to the app you provided, I just let shield take care of it, assuming all my running apps that i didnt force close on my own, were using up all my free ram available. But last night when using your app, each time i tried to "kill all" i only got a meager 100-200MB free, at best. Even with all the apps running, i still had like over 1gig, usually 1.5, available. its awesome.
But yeah, still keeping this app for messing with stuff. Thanks.
Awesome, I'll give it a try too. It always annoys the hell out of me that I have to go into settings then apps then go through all my installed apps just to kill a frozen app. It would be awesome if someone could implement the "hold back to kill app" that is in most ROMs.
Sent from my Pixel C using Tapatalk
The file for your modified app is no longer working, any chance of reuploading this please?
2017 and still no android Nokia until "autumn" in UK for my Sony TV to fix this.
Thanks

Hello, I have got the Note 4 you see in my sign..
I'm wondering why my Note 4 has this heavy draining mainly by 2 processes (Android System and Android Operating System).
As you can notice in attachment the processes I said drain about the same percentage of Screen On.
What do you think about this issue?

I'm sorry..I was wrong in my previous post when I asked which app do you suggest me. I meant to say CCleaner but the answer I think should be the same.
To be honest I deactivated the optimisation app for battery in Smart Manager. But now I'll enable this feature.
However I noticed Smart Manager for junk files is powered by Clean Master (you find written that next to unnecessary data in Smart Manager).
I don't remember if I've ever resetted my phone (probably only some wipe Dalvik cache) but I wouldn't like reinstall all things and I should spend a lot of time to recreate folders, shortcut, etc...[emoji27]
You consider that I don't have root access for use of Titanium Backup..
Sent from Note 4 device - Rome - Italy
CCleaner should not affect your phone to this extent. It's not the problem.
I find that Google Framework services are the problem.
Look for both the newest Google Play store AND Google Play Services apk online (apkmirror or androidpit) make sure you get the right ones for your phone - they'll tell you how to check.
Go to App Manager and clear caches for these apps or disable if you can.
Install the new ones.
This may or may not work, it's hit and miss. I had the same problems with my S6 edge +, and this did it for me.
Some people don't like cleaners - I do. I use 360 and Greenify and at times, Deep Sleep Battery Saver.
And I use SdMaid for deep cleaning.
Shutapp and Doze work very well for my LgG4.
Whatever people say, I have increased performance with these apps, and with Greenify I have extended battery during screen off - I've tested it extensively.
The key to improved battery life in all cases is to fine tune your 'white lists' and to be sure that these apps THEMSELVES are not running in the background.
With the apps I've mentioned there's no problem, I've never used CCleaner on my phone.
The Battery optimisation that comes with Samsung is VERY good though. You must make sure you go through ALL the apps and select 'always optimising' except for those few (clock, calendar, Nova AND the external optimization apps you have installed, i.e. CCleaner in this case) which you select 'never optimising.' It makes a big difference.
You'll see that Google Framework Services cannot be optimized.
Sent from my SM-N910H using XDA-Developers mobile app
Google Play Service consums that percentage as it's shown in picture I shared you.
I worried about that two processes of Android System with a very high percentage.
In my phone I have a very large battery by Zerolemon and I don't mind to deactivate some processes like background apps.
I don't know how Samsung Optimisation works and for now I setted Optimisation every three days for all apps.
@kolembo
Why do you suggest me to exclude optimisation of clock, calendar, et. apps?
Sent from Note 4 device - Rome - Italy
I want to thank you all because after the optimisation (Smart Manager) the battery discharges very slowly..and with this large battery is very quite!
But how does it work Smart Manager?
Do we have some other apps in other phones to get the same outcome??

Better battery stats....... Is that a 3rd party app?
Could be that that battery app is miss reading something and giving you false information based on your other screen shots.
@shwnr11
That could be it. Better Battery Stats is a well known XDA application made by a member here named chamonix.
It is free for us XDA members but it is also a Paid application on the PlayStore.
I'll read up on his thread to see if he can point me into the right direction.
I wanted to come on here first to see if anyone else with a V20 is using this application and having the same problem.
I recently rooted my phone and at first I did not use a Custom Rom like (Overdrive, Etc.) and I ran into the same problem where the stats are showing Wi-Fi constantly running. I thought I may have deleted or frozen something using TitaniumBackup and I just could not figure it out at all and decided to go ahead and try the Overdrive Custom Rom to see if was something I did.
And of course after setting up my phone BetterBatteryStats is showing Wi-Fi is constanly running again...even on a clean install of a Custom Rom. It is not "On" because that is labeled as something else within the stats and it does not seem to be draining battery even though it shows "100%" battery usage. I am still achieving at the end of the day "1.0%" drain every hour.
But I appreciate you commenting and not just "Viewing" like the other 100 or less viewers have.
I still have no idea what would cause this type of battery usage with the Wi-Fi.
I decided to go ahead and do a fresh clean install of OverDrive's Custom Rom. I have not loaded any of my apps from Titanium Backup but Better Battery Stats.
After 2 hours now BBStats does not show this type of battery usage anymore.
So I am even more puzzled now. It may be that I deleted an app or apk or frozen something that requires Wi-Fi to behave properly.
Is there a list of aps or apks that we can safely remove or freeze?

Check in developer options and make sure allow WiFi room scans is turned off, when on it sends your location data to Google even when you turn WiFi off.
wifi
Common sense isn't all that common
@ZDeuce2
That was the first place I thought to look because I remember that being an issue with the Nexus 6 but unfortunately it was already disabled.
But I believe it may have been something I deleted or froze because I went ahead restored all of my apps one by one that I had prior just to see if it was an app of mine and I did not delete or freeze or anything this time around and Wi-Fi is not showing any usage at all with the BBStats app.
Yea I am puzzled but I am a happy camper now. BBStats is showing a solid "0.2%" battery usage every hour! Getting awesome battery life now.
Thank you though good sir for the comment.
Hello guys, I have an annoying battery drain issue on my Galaxy S7 Edge. I searched the forum, installed many custom roms, the battery life improved so much but then I realized the issue with degarded camera quality on custom roms (Floyd Q Rom). I flashed back the official stock rom to my device.
I also use Sony Xperia XZ2, which has the greatest battery life I have ever experienced on any android device.
Is there anyway I can solve this issue, I am on flight mode all the time just to preserve the battery level and connect to internet for a few minutes to check emails only. Kindly refer to the attached image (screenshot) and help me out. Thanks in advance.
