You can try. But it may be very unstable or even brick your phone. I wouldn't recommend it.

Hi, im have a N9005 LTE and have upgraded to the offcial 4.4.2
question is, would rooting kill the allsharecast feature?
Also, what's the best way to root 4.4.2?

I would say use cf auto root. Don't know though if it will break allsharecast.

I do not think just rooting would do that (since you can hide the custom status with xposed and wanam xposed, eventually even the root itself with RootCloak). However I do not know if knox status could be hidden.

I have a rooted Note 3 with 4.4.2 and my allshare function is working fine so you don't have to worry
Yep, it's only when you replace the recovery you start to get problems....

what root method did you use? did you have to replace any system file to enable allsharecast again?

I was able to root my Note 10.1 2014 last night. I installed TWRP and used its built in function to root which didn't break allsharecast..
was wondering if I can do the same with note 3.

I used CF-Auto-Root. No I didn't have to replace any file.

Yes, I'm running 4.4.2 kitkat with x-note 11 rom installed and it works just fine. It's the same just once you get kitkat there's no turning back to 4.3.

thanks
Once you root, Knox is tripped on Kitkat. There is currently no way to fix & you need root or a custom recovery to install custom roms......

Try to switch of your phone and boot to download mode.(press vol down+home+power button and after that vol up to continue)
see you knox status 0x0 or 0x1. You said its been modified means you knox is 0x1-warranty void.
It is useless to flash stock rom when your knox is 0x1, it will stay like that until a developers can figure it out.
Alternative way is to install wanam exposed, it can set your phone from custom to official.
By the way, are you buying new phone or used phone? if it new its weird coz been rooted.
Did you buy it in a store? We`re the seals intact or broken when you got it, maybe they gave you a refurbished one that still had root? As said above you`re warranty is gone anyway so flash away bro
Nope I didnt buy from official store. and knox status is 0x1. Im not worried about the warranty because I have 2 years from the place where i bought it.. They have to deal with the place they have bought it to resell. I just want to flash this device and remove the root.. how can i do that? Thanks
Just flash a stock ROM... Make sure to do a complete wipe..

Now that we can get Android 5.0 Rom on Note 4 AND there is Xposed framework for Android 5.0
I would like to ask if anyone tried it on Note 4 and if xposed still messes up S health and Private mode in the Stock Samsung 5.0 Rom ?
and if the fixes for it by wanama still work or they no longer needed etc ?
basically share your experience on Xposed on Note4 running Stock 5.0 rom ?

Most AOSP roms work with Xposed. Xposed for TW is still unstable and buggy.

Either downgrade to 4.4.2 or switch to CM 12.1. On 12.1 you don't need that because it doesn't have DVFS
I'm not sure the Xposed mod for DVFS is even updated to lollipop.
