[Q] LG G2 loops LG logo, semi goes into download mode? - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I was trying to restore my LG G2 D801 T-mobile to stock firmware but the phone would not enter into download mode. It would say something like boot certification error and then to a black screen. I followed this guy's tutorial on properly entering download mode but it then cause the LG logo loop http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/unbrick-lg-g2-qhsusbbulkqualcomm-9006-t2939627
When it is stuck on the LG logo it shows up in my device manager as 'LGE Mobile USB serial port', however when I go into download mode, it's stuck on
Fastboot mode started
udc_start()
-- reset --
-- portchange --
-- reset --
-- portchange --
and my computer recognizes the phone in device manager as 'Android'.
How can I fix this? Is it possible to even be fixed?
Thank you and apologies if this question has already been answered before.

Am I screwed here? I can't get into recovery mode or download mode. When I try to get into recovery mode, it says 'would you like to factory reset your phone'. I go about the process, it shows the android logo then back to the LG logo forever.

(Q) Bricked D801, stuck at LG logo, download mode stuck on blue dots, no fastboot

Recently used autorec to install TWRP on my rooted G2 and it booted me into fastboot mode.
i was stuck there and download mode was not working either. It just kept boothing me back to fastboot mode.
So what i did was i flashed a laf.img file via fastboot and download mode came back but not fully. It was not showing the USB symbol, only the words download mode with some blue dots.
I found another thread that said to flash some .img files to the phone via fastboot and i did so.
Now the phone is just stuck on the LG symbol and the computer doesnt recognize it. I've tried everything on these forums and I'm at my wits end. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

[Q] LG D800 Download Mode Detection Problem

I have Lg G2 D800. It is stuck in bootloop. It hangs on LG logo screen with a blinking notification lite. It can go into Download Mode but PC did not detect it there. Whereas on hanging logo screen it is detected perfectly well. can be seen in Device manager but not in Download Mode. So i cannot flash stock firmware. There is no stock or custom recovery mode as well so that i could use sideload method. One thing i know is that its boot.img, laf.img problem. If i could go into fastboot mode again i can solve this problem. But do not know how can i corrupt boot partition. Please help me in any way to get out of this situation. Thanks

Lg boot loop no recovery

Hi I have a sprint lg v20. Shows lg boot screen and loops. I try to get into recovery mode to factory reset but says recovery mode please wait then continues looping the lg logo. I have not found anything saying they had a similar problem. As far as I know there is no fastboot mode I can use. Any ideas on how I could fix it? Thanks
Did it just start out of the blue, or did you do something?

Can you get in to download mode? (vol+ then plug in to PC) If so, you may be able to use LGUP to flash a kdz.
Good luck! :fingers-crossed:

Lg v20 stuck on bootloop

Dear xda Developer,
I have a LG v20 H990DS international Model use in KSA. Every think is working good after I factory reset then it’s started the boot loop, shows Lg boot screen and restart again and again.
I try to enter into Download mode (Vol+then plug in to pc) but say Download mode please wait then continuous looping the lg logo. The only mode that I can get to is fast boot. Even doing a factory reset does not work.
I know only Fastboot mode is last hope for my phone alive.
I know the method of partition but problem is when I erase laf.img through fastboot mode its say device is lock cannot erase.
I check LG unlock bootloader page my device is not in listed.
Please any one provide unlock bootloader file .
If you didn't root your phone, your phone has a hardware problem. You have to send it to LG.
