[Q] LG G2[d802] motherboard replacement. - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My LG G2 motherboard is fully broken and i need to replace it. Unfortunately i haven't found ANY D802 motherboard - only VS980/LS980 and some D800/D801 Is is possible to replace my current motherboard with VS980/LS980 or with d800/d801

I've got a feeling that even if you do find a source, you'd be as well buying a used G2 and keep your current phone for spares, either that or transplant the motherboard and keep the remains of the other phone for spares.
Fingers crossed for you though..

Looking to buy a broken G2

Well I was trying to tighten the hinges on my G2, and because of a stupid mistake a tore the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard... I'm looking to buy a broke G2 so I could install that keyboard on my phone. Or even if someone knows where to buy the keyboard itself? Thank you.
Check ebay, I get all sorts of parts from there. Hong Kong ftw
I have a broken Desire Z... I'm not sure if the parts are swappable?. The phone wont boot, pretty sure the emmc chip was fried. But other then that everything is basically like new, barely got to use the thing. PM me if you're interested.

LG G2 D802 hardware Variant

Hi All,
I got a serious problem, As I was purchase a G2 D802 from Singapore and the device dropped cause the touchscreen 50% not work, and i sent to LG Indonesia for LCD set replacement (As I am Indonesian), and after one week of waiting (Ordering LCD) and finally the replacement LCD has arrived, and i quickly send my device for LCD set replacement, but after one day of waiting then the technician called me and say that the hardware of G2 D802 model are different for Singapore and Indonesia model!!! (Something like striken by lightning in cloudy day) the touchscreen socket are different for Singapore and Indonesia model, may I know if this is true? As the both device with same model (D802), if yes then LG really overboard! how could they make a thing with same model but different hardware? seriously I am frustrated by LG and this is maybe my last device of LG device.

LG G2 LS980 Motherboard into a LG G2 D802

Hello!
I have a little problem with my phone:
I broke the moherboard of my LG G2 D802 and so I bought a LG G2 L980 (Sprint) with a broken screen and battery on ebay for 60$. Then I replaced the motherboard of my D802 with the working one from the LS980.
So far so good. But now when I turn on the device, the touchscreen is not usable. If I touch the right corner for example, the screen reacts on a different place. It seems that everything is completely mixed.
I already tryed it with another D802 screen of a friend, but same problem there. I also tryed to test the motherboard with another Sprint LG G2 and there everything works fine!
I dont know whats wrong.... Anybody has a idea to fix that?
Thank you.
And sorry for my english
have you managed to fix it? Does sprint motherboard works on D802?

Just broke my screen :(

I just broke the screen on my LG G2 D802 And I had JUST got installed as I liked it..
Now the question is if try to replace the screen myself or do I upgrade to either the G3 or G4?
Its cheaper to buy a used G3 than getting someone to replace the screen
Any good advice?

I have replaced my screen by paying $30 only. How in the world does G3 was cheaper than the LCD replacement?
I meant if I had too turn it in for repair
Just buy a screen with the frame for 30 bucks, did it to my girlfriends g2 and it really is the most economical way of keeping this phone alive
