I have come across this issue with my recently purchased note 4, when switching off the wifi connection and connect to mobile data sometimes it will not connect to mobile data and Chrome or any other browsers will not load web pages but I am still able to send messages through facebook messenger and refresh my twitter feed. The strange thing is that searching on google will bring up search results but pressing on links/loading web pages will not work.
This problem does not always happen as sometimes I will be connected The connection will go back and fourth from H to H+,I have tried a factory reset and the problem still exists. I have found that switching on and off mobile data/airplane mode/ or a reboot would fix it for a while.
Has anybody else come across this issue?

Hello everybody.
Yesterday night the WIFI in my Nexs 7 32th with 4.2.2 stopped working out of the blue, literally because the bars irrevocably grey and they have been like such ever since.
I tried rebooting the modern, performing a reboot on the tablet and then I did a factory reset; only to encounter the same ongoing problem.
I must mention that the WIFI works on other network. I had this problem a while back and I solved it by tweaking around with th advanced setting me menu while selecting the network, however, I completely forgot what I did and I cannot find any thread that explains the whole solution.
Thanks a lot!
UPDATE; So I kept tweaking with the advanced settings and now I can use Chrome and web browsing but bars are still grey and I cannot sign i to Google Services with my account. I cannot use Gmail, youtube or Play Market.
Nobody got any idea on how to solve this?
I even disabled the firewall on the modem with no success.
By the way my modem is a Century Link PK500
UPDATE2: So I am using a whole different router and the bars are still grey... anybody got any idea?
I csn browse the internet and use apps but I cannot connect to Google Services.
A kernel is what bridges hardware and software. Try flashing a different one.
I think I had the same problem and used it by removing my Google Account and then adding it again...
Hope I could help you

Thanks for your replies guys nobody else has stepped in to help
I might try to flash another kernel, removing the acc does not work since I already performed a factory reset and problem was still there. Needless to say that i can't remove one because there are none synced.
I can use browser and stuff perfectly, however, it says it can't establish a reliable connection to the server.
My rooted International N9005 LTE, stock rom, build number KOT49H.N9005DXUENE4, baseband N9005DXUENE3, has a weird problem never experienced on my phone before.
After I connect to ANY wi-fi, I have just seconds before "your wifi connection is unstable" message. Sometimes I can download/open web with it, until I simply can't. Then I reboot my phone, and I am able to surf the web once again for a limited time.
Any ideas what the heck/wtf/what the hell is going on here and how to fix this?
For the past 24 hours I have been having weird connectivity problems with my s5. While connected to my universities wifi, I am unable to load certain things like thumbnails in the Play Store, any imgur gifs on my Reddit Now app, any photos or videos on my Facebook news feed and other random connection problems. However, I am still able to send Facebook messages over Messenger, and all webpages will load on Google Chrome. But when I am connected through LTE, everything seems to work. I have done a complete factory reset, wiped the cash and re installed all my apps, but I still having the same problem. My schools wifi security protocol is wpa2 enterprise and uses the AES encryption type if that is relevant. Also, I had just updated my phone to 4.4.4 just before this became a problem.
Since the MM update (stock verizon, no root) my wife's phone cannot connect to wifi networks that have a redirect to a login screen like you see in hotels and unfortunately her work network. At first I suspected an issue with chrome so I had her clear the cache for chrome which works for exactly one login. Tried different browsers and the problem persists. I sat with the phone at a restaurant last night and after 5-10 minutes of trying to connect I finally got it to work but three different browsers and cache clearing is clearly not how this is supposed to work. Is anyone else having problems like this and has anyone found a solution? I'm about ready to throw the phone away. Also for what it's worth rooting/romming not an option on this phone due to her work software.
Some additional info, on her work network when the login attempts to redirect she gets the errror: NET::ERR_CERT_COMMON_NAME_INVALID. When I was trying to get it to log in on a public network that had a redirect login page all I got was a page not available message in whichever browser I tried.
Hello everyone
i had something strange happen to me yesterday. out of the blue, i came to my s8 (G950F) saying internet is not available on my home wifi. i suspected that it's my networks's problem but it was not. everyone in my house had internet on his/her phone w/o a problem.
the strange thing is, both on wifi and cellular data (4g), i can view anything on my samsung web browser but i can't seem to get internet connection on any other app like youtube, chrome... etc.
i tried resetting the network settings and clearing cache partition but the problem was not fixed. trying to avoid hard resetting as much as possible.
any idea on what could be causing the problem what fix can applied?
thanks in advance.
problem is solved. i did a backup of my entire phone using smartwitch and formatted the phone. strange problem but everything is fine now.
