[Q] Newbie Helping : Note 3 soft bricked

Evening all ,
Hopefully someone here can help , Im somewhat of a newbie to this but was currently running Xnote Rom on 4.3 , I tried to upgrade to N9005XXUGNG1 following steps read on a well known website.
I received a "invalid ext4 image" error from odin and now stuck in a soft brick state where i can only access download mode. I am currently trying to get out of this back to a stock phone. I live in the UK and am on EE 4G.
Thanks in advance
UPDATE: Tried flashing N9005XXUDMK2_N9005OXXDMK3_N9005XXUDMJ7_HOME.tar.md5 with the following results:

hmm..
try this..
take battery out and put it back in after 30 seconds.. then boot to download mode..
use odin to flash the latest gng1 rom..make sure to tick update bootloader in odin
take another stock ROM, you partition sizes dont seem to match to the rom u want to flash. i suggest to use the latest BTU Android 4.4.2 rom ( sammobile.com/firmware )

I'll try to help, not that good myself though. What happens when you try to go into recovery?
I'm having the same problem. Only this phone was dropped by my friend on its top left corner and hasn't booted since then.
I successfully flashed the stock NAE tar through Odin last night but it still won't boot. I also cannot boot into recovery. It simply vibrates but nothing shows up on the screen at all. I can only boot into download mode intermittently.
Can't figure out why it would flash but not boot.

Flashing original Samsung firmware failing on cache.img in Odin

I've tried flashing the original Samsung roms on both Windows 7 & 8.1, on Odin 3.07, 3.09, 3.10.7 all failed in the same manner.
Flashing fails as soon as the system tries to flash cache.img.

Udpate your Samsung drivers or simply install Kies 3. Try again then.

I did install both Kies and Kies3, also made sure they weren't running. No avail. :/

Maybe is for that. Uninstall both. Only install now Kies 3 and try flash the firmware again.
* Are you sure that is the correct firmware for your device?
Your cache partition is most likely corrupted, just use the correct pit file for your n900 whilst flashing the rom.
Sent from my SM-N9005
Right, the issue was that I didn't flash the correct Pit file. But that's for another time.
NEW ISSUE!
In trying to solve the bad flash, during one of the flashes I checked NAND erase all. Now I just got the phone and have no EFS backups. is there any chance of fixing this? I don't have custom recoveries. Or do I have to send it in to Samsung?
The device boots fine, but I seemed to have wiped the phone's IMEI and baseband. The device can't register sims.

[Help] Getting errors in odin when trying to return to stock rom!

Hey guys ive been trying to find a fix for this for weeks now, there has to be a android guru out there that knows how to fix this. but anyways i flashed twrp and rooted my device sucessfully and got the custom rom to install without a hitch and the bootloader is also unlocked. but the issue is that in the new rom i cant get my 4g lte connection to work whatsoever so i decided to go to sammobile and downlaod the stock rom for my device the SM-S902L straight talk galaxy s5. i put my phone into odin mode/fastboot mode and load up the stock rom in the ap slot in odin, i hit start and always get the following error
I really hope you can help me with these. I am begging my data is not lost, I have lots of useful things... Im hoping i wont lose that.

I didn't either, I completely wiped it.
What i think happened with me is that odin did put the stock firmware on even when it said it failed after like 5 mins. Then the allsamsungrecovery fixed the rest to let it boot up.
The only issue could be that your odin doesn't seem to have got quite as far as mine did. Can you only enter download mode and that's it?
i can enter download mod
but when i select the frimeware stock
The odin data appear log failed
and on the phone appeared : “SW REV CHECK FAIL DEVICE 2 BINARY 1”.
I'm really sorry, I don't think I'll be able to help any further. My knowledge is just from problem solving the few cases I've had to solve my self. Hopefully someone else can help you here.
Just Flash Lollipop 5.1.1 via odin which have coj5 or upgrade bootloader
you can't downgrade from coj5 bootloader you flash coh4 rom therefore you get error
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/rom-note-4-mod-t3244665
flash this rom through odin complete stock and debloted firmware
download from here
