Hey guys, so I use quickpic for normal picture viewing, but the sharpening tricks combined with the amazing bottom scroll gallery selection makes it ideal to go through huge pic wallpaper packs and easily select dozens at a time as I scroll through..
what I do NOT like is how freggin hard it is to get it to refresh..
ive cleared cache, data, made sure there were no .nomedia files, forced close the gallery and restated multiple times...
Ive always had this issue, and want to know if anyone else had figured out a solution..
anyone have any advice?

hi guys, when i goto crop my pics, they crop fine, but im left with a tiny picture..
how do i resize the pic to full screen...
this is one of the biggest problems about the x10,i have loads of pictures but most come out all small or fuzzy using the crop, why se didnt just allow full screen wallpaper is beyond me,however there are a few apps in the store that allows full screen wallpapers however must force close a lot and piece of advice dont use justpics it freezes the phone completely i learned it the hard way,if you find a better way to use full pics as wallpaper please let me know thanks
Bloody JOKING...
Yeah it seems there's some seriously dumbass software issues with the wallpaper option on the X10.
It seems there is no straight forward to way to simply select picture (either one you've take or one upload from cpu/bluetooth) and set the whole/full image as phone's background.
Cropping is forced and as far as i can tell MAX image is 2 THIRDS OF SCREEN!!
can anyone tell me why my photo gallery is doing this in grid view? ive tried to reboot and ive tried to go to the applications menu and clear the cache and still no luck. any suggestions?
Could be your sd card burning out.
ya but it works fine when i select one of the pics or if i switch to filmstrip view
There is also a separate folder for thumbnails. Something might be going on there, id delete them all so the phone would redo them.
Noticed that my internal storage was running low, even though i hadnt installed any big apps. So, had a look at what was taking up the space.
It turns out it was the settings app! The app itself uses a mere 628KB, but the data usage was over 65MB! So, i did what anybody would do, and clicked 'clear data'.
As far as i can tell, all my phone settings are the same as they were, nothing important has been lost, except for one thing: the wallpaper. This got reset to some default watery pic of a lake with islands in the distance, all very nice i'm sure. But: after clearing data i could no longer change my wallpaper to anything else. It goes through the motions of changing but the end result is that watery blue wallpaper. Very annoying.
Rebooting the phone solved the problem (just force stopping the settings process didnt help) enabling me to change wallpapers again. But i have noticed that after changing wallpapers a few times the data used by the settings app has started to creep up (in multiples of 212kb). Presumably the settings app is cacheing the current wallpaper, which is reasonable, but it also seems to be cacheing every wallpaper you use!
Bug1: settings app is caching all wallpapers ever used, eventually filling internal storage.
Bug2: clearing settings data breaks the ability to change wallpapers until phone is rebooted.
Anyone else noticed this?
Edit: on further tests, the data storage doesnt go up every time, it currently seems to be stuck at 656kb and holding, regardless of how many times i change wallpapers. But *something* definitely caused it to balloon to 65MB...
Does anybody else have issue with gallery when you are watching picture? Upper panel and bottom panel which contains pictures preview dont hide st all.. Not automatically and not even when i tap picture..
I have tried to clear cache by gallery, clear or informations etc. After factory reset itbworked like normal but little bit later samething. Is problem causing some apps which i have disabled or what? Tried with different firmware versions too..
I solved it myself.. It has something to do with Accessibility menu. Example I'm using Light flow and i need to turn it on in Accessibility menu, then that problem exist... It's really annoying because I'm using Light Flow and I love that app, but I also like gallety app and any 3rd party gallery apps in Play store have bad quality on this phone...
Hi,
I have some photos on my phone that were not taken with my S5 and am finding that when I go to view them with the Gallery app that it is adjusting the color (and not in a good way). The app will momentarily show the proper color when opening the pic and closing it but will kind of whiten it when viewing. The pics look normal using quickpic and the google photos app. Just wondering if anyone else has this happening and if there is any way of turning it off before I try clearing the data for the Gallery app etc.
Thanks!

Hello,
It's not actually modifying the photo, it is using a Samsung technology to change the colors being displayed on the screen only. You can change your preference (but it appears not shut it off) by going into your Settings, then Display, then 'Screen mode'. But again, your photos aren't modified.

Thanks for your help. I did realize that it wasn't actually modifying the photos, I just really didn't like how it made the pictures look. You were totally right with your solution, I changed the display mode to Standard and it works properly now. I was using Adapt Display because I wanted the best sunlight legibility/brightness possible and everything had looked great until I noticed this issue. Thanks!
