I ran a test with bluebox's "trustable" app on my new Droid MAXX System Version 24.3.7 SU6-7 (just got it today new out if box in that firmware..) Anyway Trustable is a really cool app that tells you what insecurities your stock ROM/kernel or even custom roms and kernels may have present. I noticed that there is an insecure region in the GraphicsBuffer of Libui called CVE. Both the RAZR M and RAZR HD are rootable via the CVE exploit (which is apparently an insecurity in all Android Versions 5.0 and below.) The root tool for the Razr M and HD is a .bat windows script called "Hydrogen Peroxide". The mechanism that it works by is pretty neat, and it's a good 10 minute or so process, but in both those phones (I've tested both) root is granted with write protection turned off AKA a hard reboot won't kill the root... I'm not brave enough to experiment with any of this myself being that I literally just got this phone, but if any developers could look into this weakness for the possibility of a root exploit, well that'd just be awesome. @sd_shadow and @tokarenok are the OPs in the Razr M and HD threads and if we can use their same process for rooting, proper credit should be given. http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-razr-hd/general/root-droid-razr-hd-xt926-183-46-15-t3062040 <-- Razr HD Hydrogen Peroxide thread.
Here's a screenshot of Bluebox's report.

It seems people are already looking into exploiting CVE-2015-1474, but a working exploit doesn't seem to exist yet.
This thread work for my motorola droid ultra non-dev? Sorry my english is bad. I can't understand some text...

Hi There.
Just re-install the stock rom from here: www.pointofview-online.com/default2.php?content_id=36
You can also use the advent vega stock rom from here: www.myadventvega.co.uk/
Good luck.
Just to say I managed only to re-install original firmware. I DL it here http://downloads.pointofview-online.com/Drivers/ . Officialy this is SEC SOC Test board and it is NOT recognised by any of recognised drivers or update softwares. It is easy rooted device with Z4root but it can't be put in recovery mode as It should be. Simply it is not recognised as Nvidia or similar tablet (drivers, too, although they installed correctly) just SEC SOC drivers. Special burning tool is used to burn firmware and OS on it.
If someone knows exact procedure for upgrading it with different ROM i'm here
It use IMG extensions for it's needed software which is delivered by DL package.
Regards,
I recently got my hands on a droid 2 a995 and was asked to "bring it up to date" as best as i could
I found it to be several hours of clicking dead web sites and links.
So i managed to get this old droid up to date.
i later decided to upload them myself just incase. i will always have this.
Then i decided that others might be spared the same painstaking search for resources.
I dont have credits to post as many were found 10+ pages deep in google searches in the form of a file host account.
At the time i amassed these files i dint stop to record where they came from or even where i started when i realized i needed to find them.
ANYWAY XDA is about sharing and i just thought some might find usefullness.
For me. Starting with a droid 2 A955 on the Gingerbread .621
i used FRAMAROOT.apk
and bootstrapdroid2.apk
Backed up the factory (now rooted) rom in recovery with nandroid
in recovery formated system and installed CM9 rom and gapps.zip
resulting in what you see below.

here are all the files I gathered

Hi all,
Since a long, long, long time i was away from xda forums :crying:
I decided to go back just to post an easy way to root Lenovo K910 (vibe z) with the latest VIBEUI2.0 [
I've bought this piece of hardware today and for the last 4 hours i had to read, read, read but...nothing regarding the latest version with KitKat 4.4.2
So, let's cut the crap and go on with it! :silly:
Download VIBEUI_V2.0_1433_4_ST_K910_WC97 from here
Install it through Lenovo recovery the downloaded file [VIBEUI_V2.0_1433_4_ST_K910_WC97]:victory:
Reboot (this may take a while)
Download RootGenius from here
Run Root Genius from PC and click "ROOT"
and...that's it
Optional:
Install Gaaps from here
Install Xposed from here
Install VibeXpert from here
Install any root explorer and delete crappy apps
It's really hard isn´t it?!
IMPORTANT NOTES:
This will void your warranty
You'll loose unlock bootloader yet you still get rooted
Please try and help each other since i had absolutely no time (that's why i didn´t loging here for the last 2 years. I just want to post this here to help who needed.
All links provided from it's own users. If something not working, just tell. Just VibeUI2.0 link's mine and please...don't ask for mirrors.
Feel free to link any mirrors you want :good:

Turbo Bootloader Update
Now that we have root, the next step is having the bootloader unlocked, right? Well here is an app to keep track of just that. It may look a bit familiar to some of you...
Are you stuck at work and want to know if we have bootloader unlock? Are you away from a computer? Did you just kill a man and you can hear the sirens in the distance.. knowing they are coming to get you.. and need to know before you're canned.. "do we have bootloader unlock?" Then this is the app for you.
I decided to change up the root checker app to the bootloader checker to keep hope alive. There are still some working on it. Furthermore, there is a latest news section so that you can get a little more information than a yes or no. I also specifically chose to put this in the Droid Turbo General forum because it's mostly informational. Not much Turbo Related development going on here. Check it out!
Initially, I was messing around with Google's new Material Design standards I decided to throw this together. I then was messing around with parsing json in lua with Corona's SDK and decided to modify the original app. It'll be updated the moment the bootloader has been unlocked.
For those of you who aren't aware:
ROOT IS HERE! Go get it! Tutorial is here. Post is here.
Nice work man, lets hope this app is only useful for a few days just like with the root version!
I'm still on 5.1.1 and I used Multi-Window on my old Note devices daily for work. I found a temporary workaround (although it's still a MAJOR hassle without it) and this is the Android M feature I've been dying for. Pleeease, please please tell me it made it into the final release for this device. Did it?

Out of the box, no...But supposedly this is a way to enable it. Someone would have to try that out and report back I guess.

Works ok...

Yeah, I installed 6.0, and tried it out. It works... kind of. It's more incomplete than I had hoped and won't work for my purposes. oh well.
If you have root you can enable it easy with a root explore.
