Did you find a solution for this.. Factory reset fixed it.. But not really an ideal solution and shouldn't be necessary
Microsoft Outlook works fine though..
Driving me mad.. Are you using an Exchange account?
I beginning to think the app is a little buggy..
I found a solution..
Remove the account.. Clear the data from the email app.. (This cannot be done till the account has been removed)
Re add the account.. Job done

I've linked most of my contacts with Facebook but for some reason some of them will not come up with pictures and the ones that do never seem to update when said person changes their profile pic, not a big problem but does anyone know of a way to fix this??

I had the same problem. But if u just kept removing the facebook link and readding them it should work. if not leave it for a few days and it should work. But there is deffo a bug with the contact pics getting added.
Bit of a pain really.
I have had a similar problem. Try scrolling to the updates option and tell it to update. Typing this on the hd2. Wierd problem it scrolls the text box up to far when i get the keyboard out so i cant see what i am typing
I think its got to do with privacy settings for that contact....
That might explain the one contact i have that still wont work but the rest are sll working for me now.
I hope someone here can help me since i am so desperate after searching many forums, anyway i'll try summarize it as much as i can :
- my desktop twitter log in working.
- my x10 browser log in working.
- x10 opera mini log in working.
- desktop applications like tweetdeck and cotweet which require authorization working too..
- any twitter application for android isn't working, Twiteroid, etc even timescape tells me invalid account information,
Twiteroid tells my it can't authorize the account ( and its not the one hour problem that happens due to wrong password )
- i've tried revoking all access from all program but again no use..
Any ideas ?

check your user name and password again when entering it ...sometimes when using swype or slide it you can accidentally rely on it too much for accuracy and it will add in a word you previously entered incorrectly!
I have also noticed with passwords and emails if you have AUTO word space set up in SWYPE you can end up with a space where you do not need it and not see this glitch until it rejects your userame/password!
edit additional If your using a Googlemail or Gmail acct for your email then try re registering with a different email address sometimes GOOGLE mail account can cause headaches and not allow access to some stuff ... the android market being one will not accept an @gmail acct and needs you to use an @googlemail this is due to them offering the googlemail to gmail switch a month or so back!
TWIDROID, SEESMIC, TWICCA all not working

There was a similar thread that I responded to on SE's own forum. I gave all the normal suggestions but none worked. In the end the lady concerned said she had to restart (?) her whole phone and lost her contacts so I think she did a factory restore on it. But that did solve the Twitter problem.
I think this is a problem that has occured in the last few days because I also noticed another couple of threads on there about the same thing. I asked the other poster to pay it forward and give a description of exactly what she did to resolve it. Sadly at this point she hasn't done so.

Yeah I know I need to get a life Sadly its a bit addictive trying to help people, bugs the cr*p out of me when I can't help especially on something that should be so flipping simple.
before you resort to desperate measures... try going into settings/ applications/ manage applications/ timescape/ clear data.. and Then do the same for timescape plug in manager and timescape provider.. then do the same for any Twitter apps you have.
You'll need to set those up again, but it might just do the trick!

Hi mezo, the person on the SE forum did confirm this morning that is was a factory reset that did the trick (I get email notifications on that one - oh dear lord I need a life) but what a pain in your rear end just to get it working.

Its just too early here, i guess i'll give it a try after backing up everything.

Right Just thought of something you need to change your APN settings from AUTOMATIC to manual and choose your provider MANUALLY!
I kinda vaguely remember having a similar issue when I used GERMAN EU firmware before finding the proper UK unbranded generic firmware

Hey guys,
I have a google account linked to my phone as well as an email account. its been that was fine since i got the phone. Now i am trying to add a second google account, to get the emails and it keeps saying that i have no data connection and to try wifi. so that what i do and it still doesnt work. ive tried like 15-20 times at different places and on different wifi networks and it wont sync. You fellas got any ideas on how I can fix it? oh i am rooted with clockwork installed but no actually roms or anything installed.

This is going to sound crazy but it should work. Add your second account through the youTube app. Load up the YouTube app and hit the menu button, then try to log in with the Google account you want to add to your phone. It should now show up in accounts & sync.

100 postmaster failure notice. Looks like bulk emails have been sent out. When I look at the
Emails i got back its not even people I know.
Does anyone know why this is happenin? Everything else is working fine

Check the permissions of your apps and see what has access to your account info. Please don't tell me you loaded Applanet, that app has access to all your accounts. Anyhow, good luck and change all your account passwords, and look when you install apps to see what your giving them access to.

Another common possibility: Your email addy has been spoofed by the original sender, resulting in your account getting the responses vs the original sender. This is a very common trick with spammers, and generally prevents their own account from getting blocked. Email has long been very weak to this type of exploit.
Since Hotmail is an online service, you should be able to check your Sent folder and see what has been sent out. I doubt anyone would bother deleting any bulk spam.
You should still cover your own ass & double check your security.

Not the case, I didn't mean to post twice. When I originally posted the question, I didnt think it went thru. After I submitted I searched for it and couldn't find it so I posted again. Just click your username and top right and go to teh stats tab, You can view your posts/topics. Its the same on any vB based forum.
I don't know why, but I can't add my samsung account to my tab. I know I'm inputing the right things but it says invalid everytime >.<
Im dealing with the same problem, however if i go to the website itself everythingvworks fine.... Its just on the tablet settings that i cant log in.
I think many people are having the same issue. When I try to log in, it fails to reach the server. But when I do, I don't have valid account.
So I tried to create another account, but it tells me that I'm already registered. But as same as capufo, I can login via web.
It's freaking catch 22. I gave up on it.

Same thing happened to me but honestly I just kept trying and it eventually went through.

I had similar issues when I first got mine. After a few days, I found this solution on another website, and it worked for me. Others have verified it fixed their issue:
Go to settings and manage applications.
Force stop the Samsung Account and then clear data.
Open the Samsung Apps app and it will ask you to log in again.

c-loo is so right. Follow his instructions everyone. That so fixed the issue.
But one follow up question though. Does it make sense that sync is turned off for my samsung account by default. That is how it is on mines and that is how it was on mines even before.

I had the same issue. I'm not sure if it will help or not, but it seems to have been fixed by changing my password on the website. Once I did that, my tab was able to verify the account and then check for updates normally.
