First let me start:
I opened Download Mode and I saw, that my model is SGH-I337 (AT&T version).
Binaries and system status are "official". Knox varranty void is 0x0. And I have root access in my phone without any SuperSU.But problem is in other part.
I checked specs in my phone by app and I saw, that i have Quad core 1.9 GHz that are specs for SGH-I337 BUT version of my system is for I9500.
As same as in Setting>Info my model version is I9500. But my Download Mode says I have SGH-I337 model.
So to clarify: I have SGH-I337 phone with I9500 system.
Everything works fine, but I also read that SGH-I337 has LTE but system that I have in my phone doesn't have it.
And again to clarify (what is "really really weird"):
I have built-in root in my phone at completely stock firmware with:
- Stock recovery
- Knox warranty void: 0x0
- Current binaries: Samsung Official
- System status: Official
- And, my phone at first didn't have an application for "root management" (I meant that I didn't have SuperSU installed or similar app). System was just allowing root to everything I opened so i installed SuperSU successfully to manage root access (lel?).
My questions are (If you know answer for only one, just post number. Everything will be helpful for me ):
1. How did I got root on COMPLETELY NEW phone having stock recovery, official binaries and system status, knox flag 0x0?
2. Why do I have I9500 firmware on SGH-I337 phone?
3. How can I flash SGH-I337 firmware without custom recovery and without losing my root (cuz i love my root with warranty )?
4. App "Samsung Phone Info for SAMSUNG" on Google Play says that my phone is ORIGINAL but "Manufacturing Date does not match with the Serial Number". What is means?
5. My stock recovery have "android with red triangle" with chinese letters under that picture but everything with phone works normal and recovery doesn't write any errors (I don't know if that picture is qualified as an error).

What out days on download mode, i337, is what you have. It sounds like you have a custom rom installed. Since you're rooted get a terminal emulator from the play store. Open it and type
su
getprop ro.bootloader
What are the last three characters?

I337UCUFNC1 so last 3 characters are NC1

That's interesting. Do you know if you have safestrap installed? Boot into recovery. Did you buy the device new?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Free mobile app
I bought the device new. I mean, it is straight from America to my country (Poland) so the device is new. I booted into recovery. Interface is:
(there is red text)
Android system recovery <3e>
KOT49H.I337UCUFNC1
Volume up/down to move highlight;
power button to select.
(here is menu with blue text)
reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
apply update from cache
(this is the end)
At bottom there is with yellow text:
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC. . .
Applied the CSC-code : ATT
Succesfully applied multi-CSC.
(And in the middle of interface there is picture of android with opened belly and above belly red triangle with "!" character. Under picture there are 3 chinese letters.
It looks like stock recovery.
That sounds like the stock recovery but I've never heard of it having Chinese characters. Sounds like you might have gotten a fake i337

I already saw few videos of "fake" galaxy s4 and my phone looks like Original. Home button is ok.
The same processor has normal frequency and RAM is also ok.
Flash lamp also looks like original (most white like is should be).
I did benchmark to compare my score vs normal SGH-I337 phone using AnTuTu Benchmark and the score was even quite better than normal. It can't be fake.
Everything in my phone is legit.
But still, built-in root and I9500 system in SGH-I337 is suspicious.
The only think that i miss is LTE but this is firmware problem (because i have I9500 system in SGH-I337 and I9500 model doesn't have LTE).
Is there a solution to force LTE module to work?
Okay, the matter is as follow:
I wanted to buy Smasung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500 model.
I got original SGH-I337 model with system of GT-I9500 model (I don't know how It was so done [without custom recovery, knox tripping, binary tripping etc] but It was done o.o). The seller probably wanted to cheat me that It is GT-I9500 but really It was SGH-I337.
I knew that It was quite suspicious with built-in root access.
I will call seller for replacing my phone for GT-I9500 with f*kin GT-I9500 system without f*kin fraud.

Hi all! I don't know if I am missing something/this is normal/this is new. I rooted my S4 android 4.2. Realised that triangle away doesn't work for i9500 So lost my warranty. Ah well... Yesterday I decided i would upgrade my firmware (as my provider just released one). Kies didn't work and just kept stuck at 0% so i copied the firmware file from temp folder and used odin.
Now I have 4.3 on my phone, tried to do something in root folders but it wouldn't let me as i don't have root anymore.... I checked my download mode and it looks like this:
cant post images yet
product name: GT-i9500
Current binary: Samsung official
System status: Official
Warranty bit: 0
If its been rooted (FOR i9500) and warranty is void it would say :Warranty bit 1 (right?), with a counter next to the current binary?
bottom line... my warranty is back for some reason? Or am i missing something...
Upon looking for a similar thread, I couldn't find one that mentioned the problems I will be discussing here.
If you know of a thread which relates to this problem, please let me know so I can take this one down.

Recently I purchased a Galaxy S4, which according to the seller is a model GT-I9500.
Under Settings > More > About Device
The phone reveals its model number to be GT-I9500
Android Version: 4.4.2
Baseband Version: I9500UBUFNC1
Initially I attempted to flash CWM using Heimdall, and the flash appeared successful, however when attempting to boot into recovery the phone froze.
This is when I started to suspect my phones legitimacy.
Upon booting into download mode to re-attempt the flashing of CWM, I noticed the phone details up the top left hand corner of the screen.
As follows:
ODIN MODE:
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I337M
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
SYSTEM STATUS: OFFICIAL
After another unsuccessful re-attempt at flashing CWM for an I9500, I downloaded the CWM image for an SGH-I337M model.
And upon flashing this version of CWM, my phone successfully booted into recovery.
From recovery, I factory reset the device.
During the initial boot after factory reset, everything was Chinese, and several Chinese applications where initialized.
Ultimately, I would like to know whether or not I should raise this as an issue with the seller.
Was the wrong phone issued?
Or have I been sold the wrong phone intentionally?
You should speak/discuss it with the seller coz this seems a refurbished device.
try cpu-z make sure that you phone get the same specification of the real S4 I9500. check GSMArena.com
If it's different you should discuss it with the seller

1. Your phone either is a Frankenstein phone, or more likely a counterfeit. See 4 below.
2. See 1 above.
3. Assuming the phone is an authentic Samsung device (see 4 below), you can flash the AT&T ROM through Odin. However, you will not only lose root, but gain AT&T's locked bootloader, which makes rooting more difficult.
4. See 1 above.
5. Take a picture of the recovery so we can see what you're talking about. However, languages other than English in the recovery is a bad sign. It almost invariably means the device is a counterfeit. To be sure, take the device to the nearest service center and have them check it out. They'll let you know if it's real or not.
You have an SGH-I337. Always look at the version stated in the download mode. Ignore the rest. The rest can be easily edited and holds no value. Nothing wrong with your phone.
Hi
I'm here in Canada where I have a Samsung S4 SGH-i337M and need a tar file. I believe I need I337MVLUAMG3. It's for a Bell Mobility (Bell Canada) phone. The sticker on the ROM has the following info:
091011
T04B
V04D910J6
A-KKMR
VLUAMG3
At the moment it boots up with the Samsung S4 logo and in blue at the top Recovery Booting...and hangs for ever.
Any help would be so much appreciated.

Hey...the file is not there, does anyone else know where I could get one from?
Thanks.
You didn't look hard enough.
Thanks for the info, however I don't see ROM version I337MVLUAMG3 For some reason I might not have access to see it, or it's not there. Could you please link me to that ROM?
Thanks...
No, because that letter combination does not exist anywhere for any I337M. Searching the Internet for that string of letters and numbers comes up with two entries on Google, both referring to this thread. Therefore, what you believe you needed in fact isn't what you needed.
Download the latest ROM from the link, and use that to fix your phone.

I have loaded all versions and still have the same problem. A little more info I got, it was unlocked, so I'm not sure what version to use at this point. Do I go back to the original provider and load that ROM or do I have to find out what provider they used when the phone was unlocked?
If the phone is unlocked, it doesn't matter what ROM you use as long as it's for an I337M. Thus, any I337M ROM from sammobile should have fulfilled your requirements. That means something isn't right here.
The first obvious thing to do here is to check and make sure your volume + control isn't stuck. Tap the edge of the phone gently against a table to loosen the buttons and see if you still have the recovery booting problem. If that doesn't resolve your problem, enter download mode and read off all the information in the upper left of the screen.

Take your phone in and have it serviced. There is absolutely no reason for a stock ROM downloaded from sammobile to not have restored your phone, except one: you have a bad emmc chip.
I have minimal experience when dealing with rooted/flashed phones and its been a few years since ive dealt with it.
I purchased a second-hand note 4 from eBay which was listed as being 'new other'......basically, it was an opened package but never used from a seller who sells a lot of this type of thing. Got the phone great and set it up.
First, thing that bothered me is that when I came to do a factory restore and was presented with a black screen with various options coloured red and blue ( i cant post images because im a new user)
The screen says:
Android system recovery <3e>

reboot system now
apply update from ADB
apply update from external storage
apply update from cache
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
reboot to bootloader
power down
view recovery logs
dm-verity verification failed......
I also powered down the device and entered download mode
the knox warranty void: 0x1 (3)
Under about device i have

Security software version
MDF V2.0 RELEASE 1
VPN V1.4 RELEASE 5.2
Also under device status it says OFFICIAL........not modified which I wasnt expecting.
If i got to KNOX active protection it is switched OFF and it wont let me turn it on.
I dunno.........I seem to think at some point this phone has been rooted or flashed
Obviously if this has been rooted/flashed then ill be contacting the seller as it wasnt advertised this way and i dont mind keeping the phone if i can get a partial refund.
So do I have a shot at a partial refund if this phone has been rooted/flashed?
Can I still reflash/re-root if I want?
Thanks

If your phone never been rooted it will say knox warranty void: 0x0 (0), when it says knox warranty void: 0x1 (3) it means have been rooted and a few times, yes you can root again and flash custom Rom's, and after if you flash official firmware from Samsung by Odin it will say after Status OFFICIAL..
With that said do you think it would be acceptable to ask the seller for a partial refund as it wasn't listed that way.

yes it would, as samsung denies warranty if they see this knox status.
this is illegal, and you can still get warranty, but you will have to struggle for it, and maybe even go to court or supervising authority for that.
apart from that, there's no difference.
you should re-flash your phone with the official firmware and then re-root it, to make sure there are no possible things left from the previous owner.

I'm not 100% on this, but I would bet that you have a US T-Mobile Note 4 with an international ROM installed.
The "LMY47X.N910T3UVU1DOG1" shows N910T, which is the US T-Mobile version, and you then go on to mention "LMY47X.N910FXXU1DOG1", which indicates that the ROM is for a N910F, which is the (predominantly) European version.

AFAIK they are pretty much the same phone, however they do have different radios, as I believe North American versions support CDMA.
The fact that Knox has tripped means it's been rooted or something before - I would try and determine the *actual* model of the phone (has it still got the warranty sticker behind the battery?), and flash the appropriate ROM for the phone model.

Fair enough, my advice would be to flash the latest N910F Marshmallow ROM (check out my repack thread for a Mega link).
That way you know that everything is totally stock, and up to date.
So where do I stand? Is it a European model with an American build number? Just want to get my facts precise for the eBay seller. Thanks
