[Q] Download mode

Hello guys, I need help. I am on froyo XXJPF and I wanna return to official eclair but my home button doesnt work. So I cant boot into download mode and on froyo I am using arent any extended power menu. Is there any other way to go to download mode (some app or something)?

try this:
Step 1 – Prepare odin with the firmware u want to flash and get it ready to go;
Step 2 – Remove battery, SIM and SD card, next connect your galaxy 3 to the computer;
Step 3 – Hold Volume down + Power + Home button at the same time;
Step 4 – Insert the battery and wait a bit;
Step 5 – At this point Odin should have detected your SG3 ( Yellow rectangle should appear in your );
Step 6 – Click Start button in Odin and wait about 5 min.

the phone will boot and you will see a yellow box in odin
quickly click the start button in odin and let it flash
or if you have root
use this command in adb/terminal emulator

that method wont work as his home key isnt working and there isnt any need to remove sim and sd while flashing

His home button doesn't work..how is he supposed to click it?
Try getting extended power menu, and go to download mode from there
Edit:didn't see that you dont have extended power menu..i dont know any other way

yea, as it has been said I am unable to use this way due to not working home button

Galaxy Y Rom Update Problem (Need Solution Emargency)

Hello Friends,
I am new user of XDE Development forum. If anything wrong then really sorry.
Anyway, I have an android device Samsung Galaxy Y GT-S5360. I need to install custom Rom. I have tried many times but failed. Here i am telling about the the thinks i have done already but didn't stressful.
I have downloaded
1.din3 v1.85.
2. Galaxy Y Rom from Sammobile.
That files only include one file called: S5360DDLA1_S5360ODDLA1_S5360DDLA1_HOME.tar.md5
3. I didn't find any
"pit" binary file
"DefaultCalDataWithBoot_...." md5 file
"PDA_...." md5 file
"MODEM_...." md5 file
"GT-S5360-MULTI-CSC-...." md5 file
But in a tutorial of Galaxy y flashing they said these files needed to Update Rom.
4. When i pressed at starting time Volume Down+ Home+ Power then show this message
Warning!!

Follow the steps - with odin installation
1. connect your mobile with pc
2. open odin
3. swithch off your mobile
4. go to download mode (Press Down volumu key + power + home buttons)
5. in odin, it showing com port in yellow color when your device detect.
Then browse files
PIT ---------- -totoro_0623.pit
Bootloader ---- BOOT_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5
PDA ---------- PDA_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5
Phone -------- MODEM_S5360DDLA1_REV05.tar.md5

2. Is that Version able Bengali Language Support?
3. If electricity is gone during flashing time then any problem for Phone?
4. How many times need to finish the Flashing?

Volume Down + Power + Home ---- for Download Mode.
Volume UP + Power + Home ---- for Recovery Mode.
If you want root your mobile, you can go to recovery mode (Volume UP + Power + Home)
then select "update.zip" file from sd card, after then restart your mobile.
If you need updated.zip file, download form this link

Unable to recognise my usb port
Hi Friend,
Am also facing the same situation am also try to flash my samsung galaxy y i have downloaded all the files from the below given link, but when am try to connect my phone to pc its not recognising my phone i have updated my usb drivers in pc and i have tried the same process by connecting my phone to other pc/laptop too but its not recognosing.
Please let me know what can i do???

This is what it reads in the middle of the article:
From the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging” enable the SUB Debugging Mode. Minimum charge left in your phone is 30% or else there is a risk of device getting turned off in the middle of firmware update increases which may even brick your Galaxy S3.

- you need LTE connection.
- Start Odin3-vX.X.exe
- Click the PDA button, and select kernel (boot_N9005XXUEND3....tar.md5)
- Put your phone in download mode (turn off phone, then hold VolDown+Home+Power to boot - if it asks you to press a button to continue, press the listed button)
- (USB) Connect the phone to your computer
- Make sure Repartition is NOT checked
- Click the Start button
- Wait for Android to boot
- dont panic if you have wifi issu everythink will back wen you will flash the second file.
- Done (if it took you more than 30 seconds, you need practise!)
- Turn off re-lock and app security.
- Run the tr.apk, hit make it rain.
- Install SU from Playstore, update it, reboot phone.
- Check root.

Help: S7 edge Bootloader Exception For NOT Rooted!!

Hello
Before 1 week I return from my work and I try to turn on my s7 edge to check my emails, messages, etc
But it doesn't work, I try to charge it but its dead and no reaction
So I plug it in my laptop and then I get a message with ONLY RED words say bootloader... *((USB Dubbing its Turned ON I forget to turn it OFF))
Acctually before I get this problem, I Try to use the DR.fone app in desktop to recover a lost photo for non-root device, after all I don't find the pic, then I close it but I forget to turn off the USB Dubbing and I forget to delete it
Please help guys ,my warranty didn't do any thing
So if there is no way to relive my device, I need just my files back its very important, ((samsung backup turned off))

Hello, download the latest bootloader of the S7Edge, and then put your phone in download mode. With odin, flash the bootloader (BL case) to your phone.

I CAN'T get into the download mode, it won't work with me,
But when I connect it to odine, I can see my device there and I can adding files maybe
So where I can download the stuff and what I do?

Phone part :
~ Get into Odin Mode :
Press "Power" + "Volume Down" 8 seconds
Then press "Volume Down", "Power" and "Home" until you see a message, then press "Volume Up"
You are now in the Odin Mode / Download Mode.
Computer part :
~ Download the latest BootLoader and Modem here : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=54002
~ Download the latest odin here :

~ Start Odin, and in the "AP" case, select the "bootloader".tar.md5
