[Q] Black screen when I install Blisspop - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I rooted my phone and installed TWRP. I can flash MicroMod777's Extreme 1.0 ROM and it runs fine. However, if I try to install Blisspop, when it reboots after install, after the LG logo the screen turns black and stays black. If I press the volume buttons and blindly tap the screen, it makes sounds that suggests it booted fine and is on a setup screen, but I cannot actually see anything.
Anyone seen anything like this? Any ideas on how to fix this?
E: Forgot to mention, my model is a D801, which Blisspop afaik is compatible with.

[Q] Black screen after downgrade

I was running Cyanogen 6.1 on my HTC Dream fine, after that i decided for full downgrade. So i searched google for it and found the cyanogen wiki for doing it. I followed each step and after flashing DREAIMG.NBH to my phone, it restarted. And so it entered a boot loop. I took off the batery and then tried to enter recovery or the bootloader. When powering the phone normally, i see the T-Mobile logo, and after that, the screen turns black. Whenever i try Camera + Power, after the logo it goes to black screen. Home + Power points the same thing and so does back + power. Fastboot doesn't seem to work even though i have all drivers properly installed and the Android ADB Device shows under Device Manager.
I know i messed up because i didn't wipe before the downgrade. If there is any possibility to repair it? If so..what is to be done?
Thank you in advance!

Multi-colored Screen

Hi Guys
When I turn my phone on, after the Galaxy S first screen, the screen is multi-colored for about 1 second before going to the boot animation. Once the boot animation appears the screen is fine.
That's not a problem. What is a problem is booting into recovery, the top of the screen has a few blue lines. It still operates as if it is in recovery, as if I press the power button it reboots - but if I press down once, then power, it's not rebooting. So it looks like it's just the screen can't display what's being sent to it. So I can't do anything in Recovery like installing the auto-phone record, screen capture service or extended power menu. It will also be a problem if I come to install another ROM.
Does anyone know why? It started happening after I flashed a new ROM - I flashed the new ROM because the phone was constantly freezing when running certain apps (and needed the battery removed to restart the phone) - it's no longer freezing.
thanks
I'm not sure but,i think it because you don't have the good bootloader. For example,if you flash a rom from Froyo to gingerbread, you need to choose a rom with the gingerbread sbl(bootloader) include.
So to avoid this problem, just re-flash the entire rom with boot loader included.

thanks I'll try that

[Q] htc g2 tmobile no hard reboot

used gingerbreak on g2. Got superuser and everything was great. Now (don't know why) no splash screen, no recovery even holding down volume and power on boot, random screen blackout. tried to re-gingerbreak with no effect. tried hard reset with no effect. stuck in hell please help. phone is stock rom and has no modifications even has all bloat-ware.
p.s. initial problem upon booting screen black but have lights at bottom after stock boot sound hit power twice and phone is active like normal. now stuck like this after each boot and couldn't find anything about the problem after searching. I hope this hasn't been covered before. Any thoughts? I am at my wits end about to get out the light saber and take out my frustrations on the mutt
If your phone is this: http://www.htc.com/us/products/t-mobile-g2/ then you're in the wrong place.

HELP! Strange problem

I have installed Cyanogenmod on my MT4G, it was working fine for few months, but now it is developing a strange problem with the display. The symptoms include:
The screen is pixelated when displaying text, and colors are distored (at first a reboot took care of the problem, but now the problem no longer goes away)
No display of the myTouch 4G splash screen
When boot into recovery, I can see the recovery menu VERY briefly, then the screen goes dark, completely black
When boot into bootloader, the screen is completely blank. Can not see anything.
I was thinking the problem may caused by Cyanogenmod, however, because now the screen is completely blank, I can not even restore to stock using the Power+Volume down method. I do know that it still entered bootloader mood since I can see the device using adb/fastboot command.
Any pointer as to what may have caused this or help getting me restored back to stock would be greatly appreciated.
Note, I have wipe the phone, I have tried Cyanogenmod 7.1, nightly build 252 and 7.2RC1, and the problem is still there. I was not able to flash a stock rom using rom manager.

S5 screen doesn't work after ROM flash, not even recovery/boot logo

My Friend gave me an S5 to fix. When you turned it on it would give some message about not loading the OS. I downloaded Odin and what I believe is the correct stock ROM SM-G900F O2 UK.
I managed to install the ROM fine however the screen has totally died. The phone wasn't dropped or anything. I can boot into Recovery and into the OS. Pressing the home button 3 times gives me audio description of the OS.
The screen does not even turn on to show the boot logo. I tried reinstalling the ROM (I had to get into recovery blind) but no joy. It's like a hardware issue however that seems too much of a co-incidence to have had it happen at the same time as flashing the ROM. The colour LED lights up and the side buttons light and vibrate.
Any ideas how to fix? All the blank screen stuff I've found via google the boot logo still shows.

im betting he's referring to the capacitive buttons flanking the home button
Yeah I'm sure on the the phone is a G900F, I'm referring the side buttons. Any ideas? Can a ROM flash kill the screen totally?
