[Q] mod to edit volume steps on lollipop 5.1 - Nexus 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm looking for a way to mod the number of volume steps on android 5.1, since xposed is still not functional and the previous instructions on how to mod framework.jar (baksmali/apktool) are not valid anymore for lollipop.
Does anyone knows how to do this?

I am having the same problem. Hope someone can find a fix for this soon..

Audio mod

I`we been lookin audio mod for my Edge. Every mod needs permissive kernel, witch we don`t yet have for lollipop. So i found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/themes-apps/audio-mod-note-4-t3046838 and it really works. Just follow the instructions of OP and you get professional sound till we get permessive kernel

More Volume Steps?

Anyone know of any way to change the amount of volume steps for media? I was previously using an Xposed module for it but Xposed doesn't work for Marshmellow yet. I've found a few guides, but they don't apply to anything after Lollipop because of how Lollipop changed the structure. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Upgrade CM12.1 to CM13

Hi, I am new to Android upgrade. I know only OTA upgrade in phone. Can any one please explain me step by step instructions to upgrade my Storm. It keeps saying Google apps stopped working, and many other error with google. Now I am unable to use settings -> Apps . As soon as I open chrome or settings->apps it says stopped working. So, I made my mind to upgrade to any stable version if any updated. I have found that there is CM13 available. But, do not know what has to be done. As some where I read to install kernal / TWRP / image ,etc. But, I am really not Android Savy and do not know all these terms or exactly what I should do and what I have to do. Please Please give me step by step complete instruction what I have to download and how I can update my Storm with CM13. One more question is CM13 and Android 6.0 "Marshmallow" both same? This might be very dump question.

Few basic questions:

So I am trying to get the percentage for the battery next to it, but it seems the percentage is only able to be inside the battery? Does anyone know if there is a switch/workaround for this?
2nd) I had to flash a retail rom (my phone came from Moto themselves) and now I get "Retail services shut down" or something like that, tried google, nothing. If anyone has information about that, please let me know.
3rd) Does Xposed work for the Moto E4? If so can someone provide a link pretty please?
4th) I encrypted with the ROM encryption, is there a way I can get it to run backup? (I will post everything you need to help with this if anyone wishes to help)
5th) Is there any custom roms for this phone, again google showed me nothing for this.
Any advice will be "thanked" and I will be grateful for ANY advice/answers!
There are no custom ROMs yet, they should start coming after Oct 1, then you'll have much more customization options. There is currently no stable Xposed for our phone, but you can flash an unofficial version (that would also help you get customizations).
Are you sure you flashed the right stock images? How did you flash them?
When you say backup do you mean in TWRP? Why wouldn't it work?

Xposed Framework

Does anyone know if Xposed Framework is working on S8 i found this article:
https://www.gizdev.com/install-xposed-framework-on-android-nougat/
and theres the option on Magisk to install it
Xposed wasn't available for Nougat until today (revo89 announced it here). Don't **** with it yet, the top "known issue" for Samsung devices is bootloops, as seen in the announcement thread, and me saying it's available doesn't mean it's fixed (I really don't know if it is or not -- anyone know?)
Yeah it works.
Things work better on aosp based roms rather than touchwiz based roms

https://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/xposed-android-nougat-sdk-25-arm64-t3639221
with AMBASADII ROM 1.5 and have no problems with stability, power drain oder lags.
Ok, i use only 4 modules and a module for remap the volume keys (I dont know which excatly) generate a boot loop.
I have the SM-G950F model.
TMobile s8 Snapdragon and this version doesn't reset everything in gravitybox N like purify version.
stupid question, I have a stock Samsung Galaxy S8 Rooted Sprint. Will Xposed work on my device? If so where do i download the files to install it in? I don't know which zip to download and I don't want to bootloop. I have asked for days but not a single person has replied or helped me

I have a successfully rooted Samsung Galaxy S8 Stock for Sprint. Please note that this is NOT S8+ BUT simple S8.
1) WIll Xposed Work on my Device?
2) Where and which files do I download to make it work?
3) Do i need to Deodex my System? I worked so hard to get root and I dont want to do that
4) can someone please answer me?
I'm on T-Mobile S8 (bare, not a plus nor an active), Xposed does work correctly. Check my previous post in this thread for two links. You should find your way to the APK. Just install that guy, nothing fancy needed beyond root, which you said you have.
I will note that not much is available for Xposed on Nougat Samsung devices. Maybe some Adblocks and a couple minor things, but I'll be upgrading to Oreo as soon as I can figure out how to get rooted Oreo on my S8.
