10x10 LTE is live in Cincinnati OH. Post speeds here - Nexus 6 General

My friend is an engineer for Tmobile. They are trying to have 10x10 LTE rolled out in Cincinnati this week. Post when you see an improvement in speeds. Thanks

This would be great since my LTE speeds are ridiculously slow. Hope this happens

Here's what I'm getting as of today in Cincinnati.

How is the battery life with the new radio and update leak?
I'm actually thinking about flashing back to ke1. This new one and the previous seemed to get worse reception in my area. Ymmv depending on where you live...

Laying on my couch i previously got 2 bars. I see no difference so far in the 2 hours i have had it flashed. I like being updated though since i assume something was changed for the better. I'm running cm7.2.
While my signal has not increased, I will say my 3g speed has almost doubled on a consistent basis.
Running crossbones 2.5

I thought it was just a coincidence or a setting but I have been using the new radio for 2 days and checking my 3g speeds diligently and I too have had speed gains. Getting the highest download speedtest scores I have on my device in my area.
Upload speed is about 1/2 of what it was (who cares? Not me.)
I hope it sticks and is not just a fluke.

Any battery drain, the ones from that previous leak torn my battery up, for me atleast

Battery seems to be about the same.

I got full bars on 4G. I've never seen that before. It was a beautiful and life changing sight lol

I seem to have better reception and faster 3g as well. My battery life also appears to have increased. This radio is way better than the radio in the previous leak. I'm in Houston by the way so I guess it depends on where u live.

I had very poor reception (even wifi) with the latest radio and a prl/profile update. Reverted back to KL2 today and all is well.

Okay after a little more observation speeds are about the same I have run the speed test periodically throughout the days I've had the new radio and it seems like my high speeds are coming from low traffic in the early hours of the morning I am still trying to figure it out.

Yeah I'm getting the same mixed bag :/ I'm getting much more reliable data speeds but that's it, and I'm not sure that the 4.0.4 leak isn't half the reason for it. I'm in a backwoods area on the edge of Sprint's coverage and on KE1 I could make phone calls no problem, with a few dropped calls here and there. With this new one I can't make calls unless I step outside... Data speeds are more stable and texting seems more reliable but I can't make phone calls worth $&%#... In town and at work it seems much nicer, but then I think some credit has to go to the official 4.0.4 as well, not the radio.

I'm seeing faster 3g, don't have 4G in my area to compare. Reception seems the same.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using Tapatalk 2 Beta-5
Oh and that's compared to KE5, which was the better working radio for me previously.

How to change data icon from H+ to 4G on CM10.1 Nightly's

Hey guys, I was just wondering if someone could help me out because I'm kinda ocd about seeing it as H+ instead of 4G for HSPA+. Thanks!

HSPA+ isn't 4G.

Coming from sprint it sure as hell is. 1mb is 4g to them. Anyway I get to 35mbps on hspa+ so I really don't get what your saying.

I agree but the 3G/4G terminology is a bit screwed. The current "3G" release is 100x faster then the original 3G release. Yet the current 4G release is only 2.5x faster then the current 3G release.
Which is why Android refers to it as H. It should probably stay that way.
But I get 22Mbps on my N4 on DC-HSPA, which isn't as high as you, but I know how you feel. But I live on a continent that's completely GSM/HSPA/LTE, so I never really had the CDMA 3G problem.
Is there anyway to enable 3G/wcdma only after rebooting??

Improved Signal with LTE?

I just recently got LTE on T-mobile here in Tucson, AZ. I noticed I am now getting LTE signal in places I couldn't even get 3G before. My question...does LTE in general provide better coverage, or is it just because T-Mobile perhaps worked on expanding their coverage in my area?
I'm pretty sure they're doing both.

Well isn't that freaking awesome

Toronto with an Oppo Find 5

Does anyone have one in the GTA? I love this phone but not sure what the data speeds would be. I'm with bell. Was reading ghat in some US markets the hspa+ was faster than the LTE.

In places where LTE is prominent, it is faster than any alternative. I think Bell and Rogers have pretty good LTE, especially in Toronto. So I don't see why it would be a problem (assuming the Find 5 is LTE capable).
It doesn't have LTE.
Speed on lte cant be beat by hspa... at least not in toronto...

Thanks for the replies. I decided against because no LTE and went with the HTC One Dev.

I didn't see any similar threads, wondering what everyone's data speeds are? Full service and super fast LTE here

Nice! I just switched back to AT&T from T-mobile, speeds are so much faster now lol

Lmao This is insane I've done 50 down before but man its slow I'm on the 10 mobile share plan and only used about 3GB. I used to use an AT&T demo line with unlimited everything for about 5 years and man that was much father than this (now I'm playing). ??

I'm on the 10 GB mobile share plan also. Maybe your signal is weak where you're at? Also i did mine pretty early in the morning so probably network traffic was low
To be getting those type of speeds what apn ate you using? Speeds are never that high in Houston.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
I never touched the APN, just left it how it was out of the box:
I posted my very highest speed but Ive also gotten down to 16 mbps and everything in between.
My APN is untouched as well. Also on the 10gb mobile share, but I'm up in northern Virginia.
Never had data speeds this fast on my iPhone... Same network, same location. I think the Note 3 (usually) does a good job of maximizing data speeds!

No tweaks here, I was bone stock when I hit 45 down. These are my more typical speeds at home, with 2-3 bars.
Edit: just noticed that that want even lte just now...Good h+ speeds nonetheless

Just tested it with definite LTE and it's the same when I have 2 bars. Guess I'll only hit 50 down in a full coverage area.

Check this out:
I once hit 70mbps on LTE, but it was very early in the morning. Anyone know when AT&T plans on deploying 20+20mhz for LTE?
