Hello! I was able to restore to stock my KK LG G2 D800 from KK to JB last week using the TOT method. After I restored to stock I went ahead and took all of the AT&T OTA's until I was running stock LP. After I got stock LP I was able to root and install TWRP.
Last night - stock LP was running sluggish (go figure) so I decided to go ahead and do a factory wipe in TWRP. However, out of habit - I went into advanced and wiped everything but the SD card. I went to reboot and...now I have no system installed on the phone.
For whatever reason - I cannot get the phone to boot into recovery. I've tried the physical button presses a million times in a million different configurations but it just won't boot into recovery no matter what I do.
I plugged it into the computer through USB and the phone is being recognized but I cannot get ADB to find the device so I can issue commands.
I am able to get to the phone into download mode no problem - just not recovery.
I tried to go back to stock using the TOT method again - and LG Flashtools fails giving me a download error before it starts.
Any help and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. I took it to AT&T Device Support Center and the guy told me LG hasn't given them any flash tools - could just be because the phone is rooted.
You state that you tried the TOT method using LG Flash tools, so I assume that you followed all the little nuances of that method (going into device manager and setting correct COM port, removing the cable one time and reconnecting), etc. I don't remember all the steps with 100% accuracy, but any guide (either xda post or you tube video) contains all of them. I did the same thing as you a (wipe system) a while back, and there was no way to get back into recovery. I had to do the entire TOT procedure.... Good luck

Thank you for your reply. Yes, sir. I tried the different .dll's and changed the port to 41 and everything. I did just fix the issue - I was able to FINALLY get into recovery (gotta make sure the phone is COMPLETELY OFF!!!! - whoops). Once in recovery I was able to download Grola or Simple ROM and flash that through TWRP. Everything booted up perfectly and I am back on Lollipop. Once some D800 LP ROMs start popping up - this won't be an issue anymore.

Hey guys. Here's the deal: I screwed up my BELL LG G2 and the only thing I could get it to take was a TMobile .TOT file. So I did that and it "works" now. Thing is, I get no bell internet now because well... It's messed up. The phone thinks it's a D801 but it's actually a D803. So anyway, I want to get Bell stock back. I downloaded the stock bell kdz so that's not a problem. I have that latest (like last month I believe) KDZ flash tool from LG called "LG Flash Tool 2014". Here's where things get messy...
Step by step:
1) I open the file "LGFlashTool2014.exe" and it opens fine.
2) For "type" I select "3GQCT" (I don't even know what this means to be honest), for "PhoneMode" I select "Emergency" (tried DIAG too and it makes no difference) and for KDZ I select the D803 Bell LG G2 KDZ file I have. I leave version blank as it fills itself in.
3) I select either "Normal Flash" or the other one that wipes everything (neither work....)
4) It then brings up it's second screen and I select "Start" at the bottom.
5) It brings up the third screen asking about language and I either leave it or choose "other country". Both of these options (in the top drop down menu) give me no options for actual languages in the bottom drop down menu. The bottom drop down is just blank. Anyway, so I then select "start" again.
6) The LG Update Tool pops up and does the following:
It verify's my phone's connection, says "extracting software" then "S/W Upgrade is in progress" then it suddenly stops and says "Upgrade stopped due to error." Followed by instructions to disconnect the phone, remove the battery, reconnect the phone, and turn it back on (it's a bloody LG G2 so I can't take out the battery...)
What do I do here guys? I'm seriously confused. Oh, and yeah I've tried uninstalling and re-installing... My phone is in download mode. USB Debugging is on. What the hell else can I do?
I have this same error.
I have s80210a-EUR-xx and Rayblobe ROM (since late last year) , android 4.2.2
I get stuck to that exactly same point "Upgrade stopped due to error."
Trying to get kitkat with this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705259
edit: finally all the searches got me somewhere. so, tomorrow i'm going to try this:

Firstly, thanks for taking the time to reply to me. I reallly appreciate it (nobody here seems to give a flying.... Well, you know). What exactly is that post you linked saying? Not sure I understand what he means.
BUMP!
Can you boot into recovery?? Try getting that ROM in zip mode and flash it through recovery. It should work.
Sent from my LG-E610 using XDA Free mobile app
I'm trying to first flash stock ROM and then go back with the original plan.
Also, I did find "stock kitkat ROM" .zip. But I don't know if you can post links to other places than xda?
I've made my nandroid backup already, so first i'm going to test that kitkat rom. because, if it works, it's much easier

If you mean to get bell stock rom and flash it, I tried. It bricked my phone and I had to do the TMobile .TOT. Now that I have TMobile, I have no recovery and I have no idea what recovery to put on the phone (CWM or TWRP? Bell or TMobile?)... God this is such a pain in the butt... If I ever get the G3 I wont be rooting it...
Alright so I rooted the TMobile rom on my LG G2 (again, it makes no sense because I have a Bell phone). I then installed "Flashify" which can be found in the app store. I found the TWRP recovery img for D801 TMobile LG G2 (you can find it by searching on google) and then I booted up adb (you need to install adb if you don't have it). I put the bellstock.zip (I renamed the file) into the folder for adb and opened adb. I then typed "adb sideload bellstock.zip" (you need adb sideload to be running from recovery on your phone first. In TWRP Recovery -> Advanced -> Adb Sideload). Adb started to very slowly sideload the .zip and I was excited that it was working. Well, it got to 100% and said "Success! Enjoy!" and I was so happy. I hit the reboot button and...
LG Symbol just stays on my screen and the phone never finishes booting. It's not a bootloop though, just the LG logo on my screen with a pulsing blue/green notification light. How do I get past the LG Logo?
Thanks guys...
Just tried sideloading a different version of the Bell Stock rom... It failed. Maybe I should have cleared cache or something first? Anybody?
Try to push roms to your phone instead of sideloading since sideloading is more risky. If youhave a custom removery then did you tryed to format system first? And then installing the rom? You dont need to wipe data if same android version if you still have data on it else also wipe data factory reset and also dont forget to flash the right modem for your stock kitkat/jellybean.

When I try to push adb just re-pastes the whole menu into the cmd window and does nothing. I could only get sideload to "work". And yeah, I have the radio for Bell, I just haven't flashed it yet because I want get rom working first. Also I did wipe everything before installing the rom.
So it all started today when I tried to flash Cloudy G3, it didn't work, it soft bricked I restored backup, all good. After this, my phone started acting weird by powering up again after I powered it off, not opening Quick Remote and saying SIM is not ready. So I decided to give Clopudy G3 a try once more but I needed TWRP, I installed the TWRP i needed but I got error status 7 so I used flashify which was recommended to me. Well I flashed TWRP using flashify and, now when I try to get into recovery mode it enters fastboot mode and stays there. I figure the solution to this is going back to stock, and I found that the best method is from a dude called Hyleton in XDA But that falishify thing left me without a download mode! No recovery, no download... is there even a fix for this?. Now my phone is the international version (D802) but this guy has trillions of firmaware for lots of different D802s and I don't know which one to download and use! I downloaded the one in the folder that says "D802 tot" and selected the 32GB one. Can somebode PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD HELP ME, my knowledge on rooting is pretty basic, and a lot of the things in that thread, like for example the word "TOT" I don't understand! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476&highlight=d802
Now can somebody please explain this guide to me? I am wanting to do the second method (the TOT method). I would really appreciate this, REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE IT.
well
I wont be much help, but maybe i can simplify for people who come accross this thread. Ive read it a few times and im quite confused.
You said you flashed cloudyG3, had problems, then went back to stock.
What recovery did you use to backup, restore, and flash cloudy g3?
No i want to flash stock, after trying to flash Cloudy G3 I used flashify to flash TWRP and it went nuts and and now my phone is working strangely. I'm currently trying to go back to stock in the hope that it'll fix my problems and I'm using Hyleton's guide, as I have no download mode I'm gonna use a .kdz file but in his guide there's lots of KDZ files and I don't know which one to use! Any idea on that? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 here's the thread and if you look at the stock firmware files you'll see there's tonnes of .kdz for the D802, could you help me find the correct one for my phone? My phone is simply D802, no other letters like the ones in that list have (which confuses me as to which file I have to use to flash stock) and I bought in the US, but I live in Argentina....
Hello all,
Today I read a lot of posts here about rooting my phone because I was done with the stock UI.
I went for it and now I think I made a mistake, I would like your help. I read some similair posts, but I cant find a true solution for my problem.
My goal is to run CM 11, I have a stock LG 802 config with 4.2.2.
My steps were as followed:
- I used towelroot v3 wich was succesful
- I installed and ran D802 autorec (wich i guess was a bad idea). I got to recovery mode and I wanted to back up first.
- I made a back up of boot and system
- After the back up, I had to reboot
- NOW its stuck in a boot sequence to nothing. Just a light green and blue. I get the logo and I can get in the stock recovery it seems. Should I reset to factory settings?? Is that data still present?
I hope I can go from there, but after my major fail Im afraid to try it.
Thanks a lot in advance!
Update
I can get into download mode and LG Support Tool finds a phone, but the specs do not match and the update states that there is not any update available, wich there is.
When I get into recovery mode I can get into TWRP and I should be able to continu the process with flashing and wiping. The CM mod and Gapps are already on the internal memory. But I am really afraid.
For the record I did not flash or wipe anything yet, except for running Autorec and rebooting after prompt.
The real question for me is (I guess), is Autorec really unsupported with 4.2.2?
I would like to go on with the process, but I also would like to go back stock if needed in the future (hence the recovery back up I made with TWRP before the bootloop.)
Thanks again for any help what so ever
(I CAN GET INTO TWRP AND DOWNLOAD MODE) T-Mobile D801 (This was my previous phone that i had rooted before) My dads LG G2 was having issues with the touchscreen on CM so i decided to flash the stock ROM but i guess i might have skipped a few steps and after flashing i got :boot certification verify, secure booting error! and cause: boot certification verify. after that i tried flashing a backup but i got the same thing. My friend told me to wipe all the files so i did and that's what point i am on now. I can still boot into recovery but have no idea what to do further, i tried to following one of the guides on here (forgot link sorryz) but once i got to one of the steps where i plug my phone in my PC would recognize it as a bunch of drives (tried this on a different PC as well) WILL REALLY APPRECIATE THE HELP GUYS!

if you can enter download mode then just flash stock friemware. using TOT or KDZ. thatll fix it. the boot error is when you mess with the bootloader. like you instal wrong bootloader for rom..
try it again.. i had same all i did was go back to stock.
i cant flash anything though since any PC will recognize my phone as a bunch of drives so i cant get the stock firmware

Had the exact same issue, I believe it's caused by corrupting the internal memory (multiple causes for this).
Don't freak just follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/tools-srk-tool-useful-toos-lg-root-twrp-t3079076 (there's a video guide at the bottom, but it's pretty straight forward).

Good Day everyone
I am in desperate need for some help please, i managed to brick my LG G2, and need help unbricking it
I have the D802 International model.
The story so far, it had Cloudy G2 2.1 Rom on, wanted to update it to, Cloudy G2 3.3 , followed the guide on Blogspot, when, you search for "kevin with tech cloudy G2 3.3" on Google
Wiped the partitions via TWRP 2.7, as stated in the video (everything except internal storage), and then installed the KK-D802 bootloader.
After i rebooted, my G2 did not come boot again, it will go on with the boot logo and the words: "Boot certification verify" Secure booting error. will appear for about 2 seconds then just goes black.
Whenever i try to plug in via USB cable, it will detect multiple new drives in windows and accept me to "Do you want to format". in the device manager i can see device being detected as "QHSUSB_BULK"
My phone is rooted as well.
Some sites recommend using a linux way, but i have been through countless forums, and not sure which way is the right
Please please i need some help unbricking it, and willing to donate to the successful user advice / tutorial of unbricking it.
Thanks for reading and in advance.

Good Day everyone
Thanks for all the advice and help, wanted to update the thread to solved, but things went a bit hectic at work during the week.
Anyways managed to get my phone working again, and restored to original state(thank God).
Basically followed a guide i found on Youtube, used the LG Flash Tool 2014 to flash back to Kit Kat stock, and then from there i rooted and used Auto_rec.
Found a guide on Reddit for Cloudy 2.2 install, flashed correct KK-Bootloader, and restored my Nandroid backup (which strangely at first did not work when restored via TWRP on stock Kit Kat, got the same Secure boot error)
Restored only data and system (everything except the boot) and my phone was back to it's original state.
Hope this helps anyone in the same situation.
PS: I was stuck in some boot loops, so had to format my internal memory as well.
Peace
