official cm12 for yuga ?!! - Xperia Z General

hey
u know nightly builds available on cm download site for 1 to almost 7 days.
today update cm11 via cmupdate (in phone 19/4/15) but thats version isn't available in download site/
maybe its mean official cm12 ceremony for yuga in next days !!!
(then why 19/4/2015 version not available for web download?)
hope see them soon

Just like that? I dont think so.......

Official or unofficial it doesn't matter... Yuga developers in xda are doing very good work

Isn't Xperia Z too old to have official builds? Just abandoned....?

Old doesn't imply that it's not capable of running lollipop.
In fact it has enough HP.

You can also expect nightly builds and more instructions soon.

2010 phones:
- Xperia X10
- Xperia X8
- Xperia X10 Mini
- Xperia X10 Mini Pro

Andreas Makris (Bin4ry), Diogo Ferreira (defer) and Alin Jerpelea (jerpelea, FXP) will be maintaining these devices from now on.
We would like to stress that work on the 2011 lineup would not have been possible without the strong involvement of Sony Ericsson with the developer community. In addition to providing unlockable bootloaders to all new devices, they provided us both with devices and technical expertise that proved invaluable in making all this happen.

OH
oh finaly something awesome... without any bugs OR BATTERY eating roms!
Guys, come and say thank to jerpelea (or FXP) and FreeXperia Team, or buy them some beers. He's been working very hard to be able to merge our Xperia series to CM.
It is still early in development, so many things still need to be done before our nightlies can be officially built.
Whats the advantage of this?

uhm. we will get our own nightly build? I think so.
This is a good news for everyone, wew.. haha...
Hope this will keep running and "WISHING GET A ICE CREAM SANDWICH because i want it" haha... Keep waiting.... (But why the blogs of cyanogenmod doesn't update our phone??)
have you read the post from the link ?
"you may be interested in knowing that the upcoming CyanogenMod release will feature support for 10 new devices"
just wait for the release
whats the diference between CM and gingerDX? does it have more stuff? faster? batterybug-less? or is it just a great news because it means better support for ours X8s?
Upcoming? 7.2 or earlier? Cant wait
yes some one please tell me the advantages of this?
does this mean a fully stable cm7 rom?
it meens more advanced developers working together to make there own CM version
If I understood dx well, our FXP's rom will be officially supported by CyanogenMod and will get all the official updates as soon as possible.
Or CyanogenMod devs and FXP will build it together?
Anyway, great news and be patient... we have everything now
Sorry for the noob question, but I can't perfectly understand...
What to mean "official"? Its a CM7 upgrade from Cyanogenmod, and its a "Custom" ROM? Or CM team works together with SE, and everyone can upgrade to CM7 with the SE PC Companion?
(I think ist a Cyanogen upgrade...)
Wow, it keeps on getting better for us

Share your nowaday experience of those holy grails, and discuss both bad and good memories those have given you. Don't be so strict with thinking on how you writes stuff in here, just stay on topic and discuss everything that the "legacy" Xperia 2011 devices has given you and various memories / user experiences thru your usage of those devices, and all is fine.

Have you tried any of the LegacyCM 4.4.4 builds?
My girlfriend is enjoying my old Xperia Neo (hallon) with CarbonRom 4.4.4 and a friend gave me an Arc S that i've updated to 4.4.4 also. Both run amazingly well with kitkat considering their old hardware. Can't wait for some Lollipop rom to test it in both phones.

When I had my Arc S unlocked from O2, the bootloader unlock allowed changed from No to Yes.
So unlocked BL and running CM11.
Running nice and fast too.
I use an arc s as a secondary device.
Stock ICS rom rooted.
Very nice phone
CM-11-20141224-UNOFFICIAL-LegacyXperia-anzu
Android 4.4.4 on custom kernel.
Running LegacyXperia CM13 on my Xperia Arc. Got this phone as a hand-me-down as a replacement for a Samsung Galaxy Trend with a failing battery. I have to say I'm so pleased to be back with a Sony Ericsson device, I had an X8 (GingerDX) before the Samsung. These things are so easy to root, install custom roms and I love physical buttons. Marshmallow runs well enough for daily usage with 16GB Samsung EVO SD card. Much snappier than the Samsung with stock rom.
Edit: sorry for bringing back an old thread, heh
i still use it, official stock rom 4.0.4 ICS, love it... not going to change this phone ever.... maybe i will add xperia m4 aqua and use them both... but Arc s will be primary... also i'm hw buttons fanboy !:laugh:
still using the arc with CM 10.1
I tried legacy xperia lolipop version and I couldn't handle all the lag so I went back to cm 10.1
I'm thinking I might just try the marshmallow one

Because they don't have them optimised for Lollipop themselves yet probably. I doubt they can release proper support for AOSP before the general release without some customer backlash. I wouldn't worry about it and I fully expect that their AOSP blobs will be updated once Lollipop ROMs are actually released.

Xperia lollipop for titan

I have heard Xperia is getting lollipop updates it possible to make a rom for our phone with that.. Development in our device is promising.. I'm not a developer though. . Its just a .request. .
Xperia z3
Do you mean a Xperia-themed rom? Because there's one right now in the Android Development of this forum.
What? Xperia Lollipop ROMs are just for Xperia devices, as far as i know, Sony is not going to make Xperia Lollipop a open source thing, if Xperia M2 receive an official Lollipop update, we can try to port it, as its the same hardware. we can surely have an Xperia Themed ROM, but i don't know why would someone do that, Xperia Lollipop is ugly as hell (in my opinion)

As I said, we already have a Xperia-themed rom, based in the latest stock. I don't like it but different strokes for different folks, I guess.
Lexodus ROM is the one with Xperia themes.. But it still isn't quite that much Xperia..

I'm sure many here will not see this as a "bad bad bad news". Having an official lollipop firmware in a 2.5 old device is more than anyone could ask for. Having a solid 5.1.1 build is better than having the latest build.
More than happy with the support from SONY,and more than enough to stay on the ship

Creating Android M for LBL is not possible bcoz it'll need custom kernel. I think our devs'll give some test builds on next 1-2 weeks, AOSP code'll be published in 2-3 days

I'm not surprised. It's fantastic that we even got 5.1, the Z is so old now. All good things come to an end
But what I am wondering, if someone will port 6.0 AOSP... Not CyanogenMod or other forks, they are always unstable and breaking things. And will take a long time anyway.

I'm very happy with the updates we have had and hope that I get 2.5 years of updates on my Z5 most people would have upgraded by now anyway however if I didn't have a phone I would happily purchase the XZ. It's been a damm good phone even with a locked bootloader.

the bootloader is directly connected to the TA Partition and every phone has a unique one so its impossible to change from yes to no
Chasmodo has already said that he wont support marshmallow on Dirtyunicorn for Xperia Z.
