I downloaded this but no app has showed up on my watch. Is there suppose to be an actual app or does it just push notifications over? was hoping to have an app that I could go into.

This is what I want. For example, say it's NFL Sunday. I want to check the scores for all the games, not add all the teams as my favorites and rely on notifications for the scores.

Yeah exactly. Pretty sad we can't get a decent sports app. Not even one. Very disappointing so far for android wear.

Yep, pretty much. Wear is capable of a lot but the app devs don't really seem to care about making new or further developing current apps to support it.

I think it's just the lack of people really wanting/needing these smartwatches that is the main problem right now. Therefore leading to lack of dev support as you said because what's the point if not many people are even using it. Hopefully it picks up though. With the addition of the apple watch, and the moto 360 v2 soon to be out I think, hopefully it brings more attention to this area of devices. Problem is, not one watch out there has proven that smartwatches are needed at this point in time. Not even the apple watch. I'm sure what it is that would make these needed by people but hopefully some company can determine what it is.
Is this the sort of thing you all were looking for?

Meh. Graphic designers mirror and photochop images all the time to make it look "better" in the ad they are making. Its led to some classic Photoshop ad fails, like a left hand grafted to a right arm.

Ha,... I think it was an add for 3UK which showed some Nokia (5800 or N97) with an Android screen once.

Not as bad as the Droid X with an iOS screenshot on it in some of the Verizon ads.
I have recently seen a large number of flyers for the Blackberry Torch which clearly had a android homescreen with sense!
i saw another one today: android screenshot on an omnia 7 pro.. or whatever it was. either way, optus, and in fact the entire australian telecom industry fails.

Do you guys think this will be a market update or software update since the Nexus S is getting it in 2.3.4?
Maybe Samsung is waiting until then to give us official Gingerbread?
Thoughts?
Looks to me like Google is only going to do it on 2.3 phones, with 2.3 already percolating, we Epic users shouldn't have to wait too long.
"Google Talk with video and voice chat will gradually roll out to Nexus S devices in the next few weeks as part of the Android 2.3.4 over-the-air update and will launch on other Android 2.3+ devices in the future," Google explained in a blog post, which also offers a screenshot and demo video.

Hopefully someone can do something with this . Google talk with video presumably integrates better with the android os than other alternatives, so it makes sense Google is integrating it into 2.3 instead of back supporting 2.2... that said, only the stock or "developer" android phones like nexus one and nexus s will be getting these right now...

Video calling framework has actually been built into Android since at least 2.1. If you check our hidden menus, there are all kinds of options for it, except the part that actually lets you make a video call.
I'd also wager that it'll pretty seamlessly interface with FaceTime since Gizmo5 pretty much did what FaceTime did using the same protocols and standards, except it was doing it back in '06.
IT'S OUT!

The UI has been greatly improved. Notifications are still slow to push and are quite unreliable. RAM usage is insanely high. I've seen it at 59MB. It hovers around 50MB
Wow
Just got the update this morning... Let's hope it isn't as stupid as the last version. I was trying to check my messages on FB and it kept showing the loading blob and then blanking out. I switched over to WiMax and it still did the same thing.... (I was thinking it was a bandwidth issue)
Looks good lets hope it lives up to the hype here.
This update is wonderful & faster.
Too bad it still follows Apple's facebook design. They should really work on making a separate UI for droid. =/
Its finally a decent Facebook app. Only took them over 3 years to get it right.

Why would they do this? Also it is "Android", and it isn't "Apple's Facebook design". It is how Facebook feels their application should be designed.
There would be no major benefit that I can see if both the iOS and Android versions had different user interfaces. I actually prefer it this way. iOS applications tend to be better looking than Android ones.

But that's the point. Love it or hate it this type of advertising works... It keeps the product in your mind and also makes you draw attention to something others might not watch...

I completely agree if it wasn't effective it would make them idoits, but for me personally I found it incredibly annoying. I switched off as soon as that actress opened her mouth deloris, delila what ever her name was you know the one that looked drunk and I also skipped much of what happened prior to her appearing on stage and after, the only thing I can remember about the actual phone is s health or something, which I think sound like a bad idea having your fitness/health levels on your phone. Just sounds like another piece of data for companies to mine from you. Yeah yeah I know I'm paranoid.
Now where did I put my foil helmet.
Better be on your head or the CIA mindprobes will be reading your thoughts in conjunction withe the Vampire Aliens from Jupiter who are in on the conspiracy to rule the world using nothing more than consumer interest in mobile phones by stunning you stupid using the antics of Deloris/Delila...
I am not unbalanced or a conspiracy nut, it's true.... They are watching from your phones..

Hi, we are the development team of the Nexus 5 Hype app. We would like to get feed back about our application. The app shows a running countdown to the first expected availability day. It also sends notifications (if you want) when as more precise specifications are known or when important news come up.

Kind of hate to say, but, Google appears to be the only one with legitimate "news". We've all heard the rumors, "leaks", and everything else, and it's proven a few times to be inaccurate. Anything from October 18th, October 24th, now a possible October 28th. With no true official launch information from Google, how can this be accurate? It's just a countdown to the next rumored date.
