Hi, anyone knows if the 3.5mm jack from the chinease tablets like Teclast X80h, PIPO W4s or similar is a 4 contact connector that allows to receive audio in?
From my experience the teclast x80h has only a 3 contact jack...

Any clues if will support a corded headset?
Greatings,
I'm considering buying one of these. I'm looking for any information about this device. I'm hoping that it would support a standard cellphone type headset with single speaker and mic using a normal stereo type plug (the kind you can use with your standard cordless home phone handsets).
I suspect these are mainly for stereo headsets (so the same plug used as a microphone probably wouldn't work), but so far, no definitive answer.
Any info you can provide would be appreciated.

Hi,
The Touch HD has 3.5 mm socket for hands-free headset; this socket caters to both headphone and microphone.
Now my question is - can I put a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack in this socket? Will it affect the phone or headphone in anyway (since socket expects 3 inputs - 2 for stereo headphone and 1 for microphone, and will get only 2 - for stereo headphone)?
Thanks
Nitin
Works fine
I have used standard stereo headphones without a microphone in my HD and it worked fine, the problem was that when someone called me, despite being able to hear them I still had to get the phone from my pocket to have a conversation.
My query; the Nokia comes with a 3.5mm jack cable for video output, I tried it on my touch and it doesn't work, BUT I saw somewhere in the Winmo registry an option to switch it on, will this work if I can find the damn setting again?
the touch pro features video out through the extusb connector, the hd doesn't.
your adapter is through the audio connector? as far as I know, none of the htc's uses this method, so it won't work
I've recently broken my PC microphone, and being a cheap SOB, I figured I could plug my Galaxy S into my PC via a standard two sided male 3.5mm wire.
I've been looking for an app that could playback audio input straight into speaker/headphone output, much like you can do in most Windows OSes. But I haven't had much luck. Does anyone know of an app that does what I want?
I've never developed for the android before, but I think I should have enough programming experience to make something this simple. Could anyone point me in the right direction, when it comes to APIs to use?
Thank you.
Virtual Amp
There is an app out there called Virtual Amp that should do the trick for you.
Audio from the mic straight out to the speaker, or headphone jack...
Hi All,
I'm looking for a (very) cheap android box/stick with the bare minimum hardware to run Android HiFi with a 3.5mm Audio jack output.
Basically I want to plug this box into an existing speaker and have it act as an AirPlay server for use with my iDevices. An on the cheap AirPlay speaker.
i have looked at the existing Andoid sticks which seems close, the MK809 etc, but none seem to have the 3.5mm audio out and I'm not sure if they boot without being connected to a HDMI source (headless)
Can anyone suggest something available in the UK?
Thanks
Does anyone have more detailed specifications for the Note 4's headphone jack?
I am wondering whether it is possible to record stereo audio via thsi jack?
For this of course the jack would need separate wires/contacts for the left/right mike in addition to the
sound output. Does it have that? (It could be that it also may have a lead for the accept/reject/start call function the Samsung headset has).
I have a LiveScribe binaural headset that I would like to use. it has what looks like 5 contact areas in the plug (4 black rings)
If the phone does allow stereo recording through the jack but the contacts don't match, does anyone know of any available adapter?
