This could be pretty fatal. If the alignment is off by more than certain limits I've discovered that the crosshairs will just keep moving around and never lock on. Luckily for me I managed to tap particularly on right side not on the cross hairs but to the right or left (can't remember which until purely by chance I hit spots within TyTns digitizer parameters. Given you don't kn ow how far off the alignment is just where to tap is pure guess work and the number of possible positions virtually limitless.
You should also try the old business card around the bezel trick for screen alignment issues a few times before giving up (unless you think it might invalidate a warranty by leaving evidence of damage to that infamous gasket).
Does not sound good but I hope you get it solved.

All the buttons and parts of your Arc

Hello, This is my first post on XDA and hope this is helpful to some extent. I have been using my Arc S for quite a while now and still didn't know what all the different parts on the actual phone were and so am going to share this knowledge with some of you people who may not now what they are/ do.
The picture I attached shows the the parts which most people don't know about such as proximity sensors etc and where they are located. However, there are more obvious buttons and things which most people should know but just to be sure:
Obviously the button at the top left is the power/lock button with the HDMI cable on the top right side.
The First physical button at the button is the back button, used to back out applications, menu's etc and can be used to enter flash mode (Green LED)
The second button is the home button and is used to get back to the home screen and can be configured in some custom launchers (launcher pro, adw, go launcher ex etc) to open different menus or applications of your choosing.
The third button is the menu/ options button and opens up options available on the homescreen/ applications e.g settings or widgets and is also used to enter fastboot mode (Blue LED)
The button at the bottom of the right side is the camera button and the Volume buttons are just above that and under the LED light.
OH RIGHT nearly forgot one, the small circle under the lens of the camera/flash is the second microphone and the small circle at the bottom of the phone is the first microphone
Hope you guys enjoy
Dinesh
When I first read that thread, I was reluctant to believe that anyone would find it useful.
BUT, alas, I remembered that my boyfriend has the Arc and after 2 months he still thought that the proximity sensor is actually a front-facing camera...
Thanks I know its probably only helpful for noobs but, believe it or not, there are a few around

Lost touch response on status bar

.I have an Erisin unit for VW, running the latest Malaysk OREO ROM.
I have an issue with touch response on the status bar! It only accepts touching on the far right edge so only the "back button" works. When I try to calibrate the touch scree, point no 1 at the far left corner cannot be touched so I touched just bellow the status bar to make the unit operable. The result is a non properly calibrated panel. The lower part works well but the further up I go, distance between my finger and the point grows bigger. I activated the touch feedback on developer options at least to be able to know where I am pointing.
Trying a factory reset (had to re-installing everything from the beginning) did not solve the problem.
Any ideas?

One hand mode issue

Hi, I'm on 8pro with root on C20.
I'm having an issue with one hand mode. What happens is that when I swipe down on the bottom of the screen notification panel comes down insted of enabling one hand mode.
Does anybody knwo where is the problem?
Is shelf enabled? Check Launcher settings
It is. But I noticed that it works when I delete quickswitch module. The problem is that I have always used quickswitch with one hand mode.
The problem has come since my last format data. I only wanted to arease everything and reinstall all my stuff.
