Recovery tools not working (CWM, TWRP) - YU Yureka Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I tried flashing the latest TWRP (downloaded from their website), after entering recovery mode , i just get a blank screen.
Tried even an older build found on XDA YU forum. , and the result is same.
After rebooting the phone, it reverts back to the stock cyanogenmod recovery.
I even tried CWM recovery and even in that i get a blank screen.
I am on official CM12-lollipop 5.0.2 build.
Any help?

for a twrp that works on CM12-lollipop 5.0.2 yu yureka, go here. be sure to follow the dev's instructions to the letter. wouldn't hurt to read the whole thread.

thank you so much. that worked.

Its worked like charm. None of other CWM/TWRP recovery available on several sites worked for me. I flashed it through fastboot method and it worked fine.
Second method explained has not been tested by me. So fastboot method is tested and works great.
Thanks

[Q] HELP!!!

Alright so today I bricked my g2 (not a huge problem, generally) installing this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502789 on my vs980. I installed it normal then all my phone did was boot into a fastboot screen [700]udc_start() . So I am trying to unbrick through this guide http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-flash-unbrick-lg-g2-back-to-stock.html and it only gets to 49% then says it does not work. If anybody here has a solution to this I beyond appreciate it.
Additional Note. I was on CWM and then I used Flashify to flash TWRP 2.6.3.2 img and then I tried installing rom and that's where it went down

Try this method, I have had success with this method a couple of times already. Who is your carrier, there are more detailed info in your carrier development forums.

Seems you haven't installed a custom recovery yet buddy, if you tried, you've failed.
First root your phone, then install a custom recovery, then try again booting into your recovery.
If your already on stock kk, I don't believe you can install a custom recovery yet, only root it. So you would first have to downgrade back to JB.

Well there only 2 options really, I'd say TWRP is more user friendly, so i would recommend that to you, before installing a rom first read the instructions and make sure they haven't first recommend a recovery for that specific rom installation.
Once you have a custom recovery its very simple to switch between them.
Follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2469995
It's an old method but is very easy. This will install twrp but an old version.
So before using the method above first download the latest twrp onto your phone, i don't know what version of the g2 you have so if you reply i can try point you to the latest, but if you search for twrp 2.7 for your phone you should find it. You want it in .zip format.
So after saving the file to your phone, go ahead and follow the instructions above, if it says it successful, try booting into recovery again, the same way you managed to format your phone but this time it should boot your recovery, then press install .zip and flash the latest twrp.
Then your ready to go! just follow the instructions for the roms you'd like and flash them.
Best of Luck!

i had tried everything no use.. anyone please help to root the update version... lenovo k3 note...:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Alright, I first updated my phone to marshmallow, then flashed twrp recovery. Until then everything was alright, it was working just fine.
Then I installed the update.zip for lollipop to root it, and installed the zip via twrp.
It resulted in my phone going into something we all know as "soft brick". It did proceed the lenovo screen, but after that I was greeted with an static black screen. ADB wasn't working either, so I couldn't boot it into bootloader or recovery. I manually booted into the recovery mode using the button sequence (volUp+volDown+power) and wiped the data. Nothing, still didn't boot. Then I finally gave up, downloaded the stock lollipop rom from somewhere, and flashed it via spflash tool. Then updated everything back to marshmallow
In short, the old twrp and cwm recoveries (probably, mostly actually) work with marshmallow, so I guess that's a start
it work well...

ChainFire Beta SuperUser for Marshmallow K3 Note
Hi,
You may try the steps "androiding.how" on how to root the Lenovo K3 Note after the Marshmallow OTA update.
NOTE : THE ABOVE WOULD ONLY WORK THROUGH CWM/TWRP Recovery. Use the older Lollipop TWRP/CWM recovery. It should work.

Interesting, never thought it could be this easy, I literally installed marshmallow the other day and now hopefully now I can root it again
So what's the final verdict boss? Did you try the process yourself? Was it successful? Or am I to be the first guinea pig?
I also got back to stock recovery from TWRP. but my update to marshmallow failed, can you help? I had rooted with Lenovo k3 note manager by prince3v. it also installed twrp. Using the same tool I went back to stock. Thanks.

That supersu file is the one causing problem. I started from scratch, and got marshmallow working. But as soon as I flash data.zip file, it gets stuck at empty black screen. It works without supersu fine, sadly no root.

new info about nougat twrp

found this info from this source
http://androiding.how/huawei-mate-8-nougat-root-twrp/
Thank you for the info; I was waiting for this.
Any idea where is the developer's thread or site; androiding.how didn't provide the link.
As far as I know this was for honor 8. @LastStandingDroid built for honor 8 nougat. It currently cannot flash SuperSU anyway
Thank you! I have just found LastStandingDriod thread.
I have tried this TWRP. You can boot into TWRP, touch is fine. But it cannot flash supersu into system. Got a reboot when I tried to do that.

Hi xda,
I'm new into the world of flashing so any help would be nice.

After flash phone restarted as intented but it keeps booting, I tried also some methods how to enter recovery mode while bootlooping but they didn't work out. I also want to flash pixel experience rom.
Thanks for any help provided.
Use the TWRP from this thread.
Your TWRP is not working anymore with actual firmware.
