Google + invites

Hi Guys,
I am working with briandevlin(http://forum.xda-developers.com/member.php?u=3144157) and shedrule over at the X10 forums, to try and get more people from XDA into Google +. If you need an invite, please PM me or briandevlin and we will invite you asap

Edit: Just to be clear, there is no official invite method for now, I am trying it through a loophole. Some of the people I invited got it, and when they clicked the link it told them it had exceeded capacity, but it did not work for most people.
Nevertheless, I can still try if you want me to, just dont be disappointed if it doesn't work.
I'm sure they will open it up soon enough.

Further Update:
It looks like it is opening up to more people now. Head over to the Google Plus webpage and if you're lucky you will be able to sign up (not sure if this requires invite yet)

As I bet you've noticed, we are facing pretty incredible demand for Google+ invites.
As Engineering Director of Google+, I wanted to take a moment to explain why we're growing the system slowly. First, we want to make sure our infrastructure scales so the service remains fast and reliable. Second, we want to ensure that bugs are fixed while there are still a relatively few people in the field trial.
Things are going well with the systems right now so we feel comfortable enough to open up invites for a brief period. Our goal is to double the user base in the field trial. (Sorry, we're not giving details about how many folks are in the field trial yet).
So, in a few minutes, we'll open up invites again.
We continue to throttle invites, so please don't mass invite folks as it won't work. If you invite a handful of your most important friends and family you're much more likely to get these folks into our system.

New details about the invite system

Hi all,
there are some news about the invite system over at the oneplus forum:
Update 3 (May 9, 2014): There are a few commonly asked questions regarding the invite system that I can help clear up:
How do I get an invite?
The main method of getting invites will be through others. In the beginning, when not a lot of other people have the device, you'll be able to get invites through contest and raffles. We have planned ways so our early fans, as well as people who weren't here from the beginning will be able to obtain invites.
When do the next batch of invites roll out?
The first real batch of invites roll out late May, and will be of the 64GB Sandstone Black version. Any invites that you might have been promised before this, will be sent during this time.
How long are invites valid for?
For invites that you receive, they are typically valid for 24 hours. If they expire, they get returned to sender so someone else can get a chance to buy it. Alternatively, you can ask for the sender to resend it to you. For invites that you can give away, they are usually valid for longer, usually 1-2 weeks.
How many invites can I give away?
This varies. In the beginning, the quantities will be smaller, but increased as time goes by. You will frequently receive new invites to give away as production ramps up.
When do I receive invites to give away?
You do not automatically receive invites when you purchase a phone. We will need to manually roll them out according to our operations situation.​

I have 3 invites to share

Hi,
I have 3 invites to share for you to buy the Oneplus One. They are for the Sandstone Black 64gb version. $350 to buy. Put some taxes and a cover and you will get to $400. I believe it is well worth it though.
If you want an invite, leave a Thanks and a comment. I will pick you at random or if I really like your comment.
Other notes: your phone may come with a bellow band close to the bottom of the screen. It is really annoying, but it can be fixed in software.
The invites expire in 3 days from now. That is 9/25/2014 so act soon. You will have 24 hours to purchase it or the invite expires.
I am not selling these invites so you should not either. If you comment be ready to spend the money to get it.

3 Free Invites for 64GB Sandstone Black

Post up if you use one and specify which. If there's one left I might buy it last minute... who knows? These expire 1/12/2015 I think, so act quickly!! OnePlus X Indian Invite Sharing Thread

Please post your invite requests into this thread. This will keep the OnePlus X forums from filling up with millions of invite requests that will just end up getting ignored. It will also help people with invites to find the people who need them.
Don't just post a story of Why you need it, just write 'I want one' and let others do the thing, once you get your hands on the invitation kindly do not waste it, invites are rare as we all know it.
Also to people who will share the invitations please prefer the Recognised Developers/Contributors of XDA first, since it will speed up the development of this device .
Once you get your invite, please edit your request to "got one" or something similar to make it easier on everyone & don't forget to share your extra invites too!

So I received a mail from OnePlus few hours back and I thought it was just confirmation that you have been added to the invite waiting list bla bla ....
But now that I looked at it again, unexpectedly it turned out to be actual Invite to buy the One Plus X !!!!!!!!!!!!
I never got an invite for the OnePlus 1 and got an invite for OnePlus 2 last week (3 months after registration)
And now I have have on the day of announcement!!! Don't know if it's my Lucky Stars or OnePlus has indeed upgraded their stock and invite system and are giving out invites faster this time !
Anyone else got an invite today?

Though i won't be sharing them till I order one for me on 5th Nov, so whoever missed them, contact me at through pm but please on 5th Nov... Any requests before that won't be noticed.

There are 2 types of invites one is the invite which you get from OnePlus directly (after registering or winning contests held by them), and those are linked to your EMail id, after an invite email is sent to you, you will have to click on the link which takes you to one plus page where you have to press the "claim" button ... After you press "Claim" button the invite gets activated and then you can put the invite number in amazon site to purchase (if you don;t claim, the invite doesn't get activated and it shows invalid code) .
Also after claiming one invite , you are may get a shareable invite later, in which user has to give email of person who wants the invite, then invite gets sent to that person via one plus and it's again locked to that person's email .
So basically the Shareable invites can be transferred ... and for that email address is required (you have to create an account on OnePlus with same email address to claim it later) .
It's a bit complex system to explain properly :silly:
