Skyfire Invitations

Skyfire is doing invitations on a first-come first-serve basis depending on the time you signed up. It sounds like some people are on this new wave of invites, so I am curious to see how fast they are moving and how long it might take those of us still on the waiting list to get their invites.
So, if you have received an invite recently, would you post the date you signed up and the date you received the invite?

I signed up on Feb 20 and on May 23 i got my email/sms to download it...

same here, signed up in febuary got the sms around the same time

Edit: Just to be clear, there is no official invite method for now, I am trying it through a loophole. Some of the people I invited got it, and when they clicked the link it told them it had exceeded capacity, but it did not work for most people.
Nevertheless, I can still try if you want me to, just dont be disappointed if it doesn't work.
I'm sure they will open it up soon enough.

Further Update:
It looks like it is opening up to more people now. Head over to the Google Plus webpage and if you're lucky you will be able to sign up (not sure if this requires invite yet)

Hey Google+ folks!
As I bet you've noticed, we are facing pretty incredible demand for Google+ invites.
As Engineering Director of Google+, I wanted to take a moment to explain why we're growing the system slowly. First, we want to make sure our infrastructure scales so the service remains fast and reliable. Second, we want to ensure that bugs are fixed while there are still a relatively few people in the field trial.
Things are going well with the systems right now so we feel comfortable enough to open up invites for a brief period. Our goal is to double the user base in the field trial. (Sorry, we're not giving details about how many folks are in the field trial yet).
So, in a few minutes, we'll open up invites again.
We continue to throttle invites, so please don't mass invite folks as it won't work. If you invite a handful of your most important friends and family you're much more likely to get these folks into our system.

For me who lives in Canada, the cost was:
$410.00 CAD via Paypal (no choice) , plus the duties of $65.00 CAD that I had to pay at the door COD. :crying: (I wish they would offer USPS as a shipping option)

well I for one would like one, i have been trying to get one for my daughter for present when starting high school. Ive been a part of xda for a while and would love for her to get an android flagship phone. It would be nice to skype with her as she lives with her mother.

MY wife was recently kidnapped by a group of rouge ninjas and now my only hope of saving her is by getting Kung Fu training from Steven Seagal, but he said he would only take a OnePlus One invite as payment. It always feels great to bring smiles to our ardent followers. We appreciate the positive feedback received on our previous week’s announcement. This week we have even bigger and better news to share - something that everyone has been waiting patiently to hear.
Firstly, we are thrilled to confirm that the One will be available for our Indian users in December. We can’t wait to bring your favourite phone to your hands. As all the details have now been perfected and last-mile hurdles have been cleared, the exact launch date will soon be announced in the coming days on our forums.
As announced earlier, the product will be exclusively available through our e-commerce partner for users who have a valid India-specific invite. This is to ensure that all of our fans across India can easily buy the product online or through a mobile app without having to worry about payments, logistics or support.
The other key element that everyone has been waiting for is price. While we obviously can’t share the price at the moment, I can confidently suggest that it is priced at a very competitive price point.
Secondly, we have recently launched a contest to win India specific invites in celebration of our first anniversary. We are totally impressed with the enthusiasm and creative talent of our Indian fans. To our passionate fans, thanks once again and a sincere request to share your entries on your favorite platforms as well to spread the love. Today is the last day of our very first*India specific contest and you can still submit your entry here*by 10.30 PM today if you have not participated yet.

Please post your invite requests into this thread. This will keep the OnePlus X forums from filling up with millions of invite requests that will just end up getting ignored. It will also help people with invites to find the people who need them.
Don't just post a story of Why you need it, just write 'I want one' and let others do the thing, once you get your hands on the invitation kindly do not waste it, invites are rare as we all know it.
Also to people who will share the invitations please prefer the Recognised Developers/Contributors of XDA first, since it will speed up the development of this device .

So I received a mail from OnePlus few hours back and I thought it was just confirmation that you have been added to the invite waiting list bla bla ....
But now that I looked at it again, unexpectedly it turned out to be actual Invite to buy the One Plus X !!!!!!!!!!!!
I never got an invite for the OnePlus 1 and got an invite for OnePlus 2 last week (3 months after registration)
And now I have have on the day of announcement!!! Don't know if it's my Lucky Stars or OnePlus has indeed upgraded their stock and invite system and are giving out invites faster this time !

There are 2 types of invites one is the invite which you get from OnePlus directly (after registering or winning contests held by them), and those are linked to your EMail id, after an invite email is sent to you, you will have to click on the link which takes you to one plus page where you have to press the "claim" button ... After you press "Claim" button the invite gets activated and then you can put the invite number in amazon site to purchase (if you don;t claim, the invite doesn't get activated and it shows invalid code) .
Also after claiming one invite , you are may get a shareable invite later, in which user has to give email of person who wants the invite, then invite gets sent to that person via one plus and it's again locked to that person's email .
So basically the Shareable invites can be transferred ... and for that email address is required (you have to create an account on OnePlus with same email address to claim it later) .
