I have SIM Unlocked Verizon Motorola Droid Razr M xt 907 & can be use for CDMA as well as GSM network.I have rooted it & install Super user App.The bootloader is locked.I tried to unlocked it using Towel root & motopocalypse but its failed.Since last two months an update 182.46.10 en.us size 446.7 MB is flashing on my mobile. After downloading it ,its installed 25 % & after that displays Dead Android & a message "software update failed" .Firmware Details are given below:
98.18.94.xt907.Verizon.en.US android 4.1.2
Build 9.8.1Q-94
Baseband Version SM_BP_101032.021.32.80P
Kernal Version 3.0.31-gef7deb8
My mobile is universal SIM unlocked to use CDMA & GSM network.
If I flash it with RSD lite with firmware 183.46.10 (KDA20.62-10.1).
1) Will I able to used CDMA as well As GSM Network on my mobile?
2) firmware version 182.46.10 en.us & 183.46.10 is same or different?
3) Is firmware 183.46.10 (KDA20.62-10.1) is correct version to install on Verizon Motorola Droid Razr M xt 907 ?
Any help is appreciated

As said above, follow the directions in that post and then unlock your SIM again. There isn't a safestrap to my knowledge for the KK update, but use motopocalypse and towelroot to unlock bootloader and then you'll just have to flash your favorite nightly and go.

It won't be locked to just Verizon, it will blacklist other US carriers tough. I have no idea about CDMA (seems it won't work), but since the XT907 is a quad-band GSM phone, you could use any GSM network outside the US.

i had to deal with this since i unlocked mine to use GSM and my razr m would not take any OTA updates and i wanted kitkat to unlock my bootloader. RSD is what finally solved my "update failed" issue but make sure you use radiocomm to re-unlock after you flash (i didnt know this and kinda got worried because loosing my phone connection was not an option) . go for it bro! i just did and its my first manual flash.:good: but i did have to edit the .xml file and i removed any "getvar" etc.... lines. im not sure if this will be true for you. http://sbf.droid-developers.org/phone.php?device=8 this is where i got my firmware

I already posted the link to this thread:

You could try this method, but I believe it's also just for GSM.
If it won't do it for you, you'll need to unlock the bootloader and downgrade back to 4.1.2.
That method is for GSM...I have unlocked the bootloader & down graded back to 4.1.2. Now I am able to used CDMA & GSM Network .Thanks a lot ..

Never installed it myself so I honestly don't know.
I only downloaded and saved it just in case.
In Puerto Rico, only Claro sells the Moto Maxx afaik, but it is practically free of carrier bloat.
But I think Claro carrier firmwares usually have CL somewhere in the filename.

Thanks again for all the great contributions you've done to our beloved Moto Maxx.

Hi, is it possible to flash the India 5.0.2 firmware on the PR XT1225 device? Thanks
***[Possibly?] Stupid Question Time!!!! *** Can any Moto Maxx firmwares be flashed on any phone (I'm not talking about the Turbo at all), for instance if I have the Puerto Rican model can I flash a different XT1225 on to it? Or even the American XT1250? Thanks in advance and thank you for the thread, very very helpful! :silly:

Yes if you have a American Moto maxx you can flash other firmwares as long as you have unlocked bootloader but has to be manually and if you are using verizon signal might not work

I have an unlocked bootloader and have knowledge of flashing in fastboot (not with motorola devices but I'll figure it out ) but would you be able to flash the American firmware to one of the XT1225 models? If that is not possible, can you (or anyone for that matter) suggest a firmware for someone in the U.S. or do they all have similar LTE bands? I just ask because the phone I came from had varying LTE coverage depending on your fw. Thank for your reply!

Thank you sir, you are awesome I am on an international XT1225 and T-Mobile, carrier unlocked (of course) so I am going to try and flash the American (XT1250) firmware. From what I gather this should work as long as it's all flashed manually. If I am wrong, that's what backups are for! :silly:
Do I need unlock bootloader do flash them? i have a carrier Moto Maxx (Vivo Brasil) and I want to have Retail so I don't need to wait the carrier release their OTA.
I'va already flashed it (twice!) with retail but it still show the System Version as 21.11.9quark_retbr.rtbr.en.BR tefbr (is that tefbr in the end that worries me).
The lollipop OTA for Brasil retail has finally came but my phone doesn't update.
Can it be because I flashed the retail version without unlocked bootloader?

Well flashing the American Moto Maxx XT1250 firmware to my XT1225 resulted in a pop up message upon boot asking if I wanted to put it into global mode so I just went back to the Puerto Rican firmware. Does anyone know if activating global mode or w/e it exactly is called (global settings maybe?) will work? I don't know why I hit no, but I tried adding a T-Mo LTE APN and it just wouldn't save I am open to any suggestions or if it's just a bad idea to try I'd like to know as well. I don't know why I am so set on having the American firmware on my Moto Maxx, I guess it's just because I live in America, LOL :silly: anyways. If anybody has any input, even if it is calling me stupid for trying to flash the XT1250 to the XT1225 I'll accept any criticism or suggestions. Thanks in advance! :highfive:
XT1250 firmware on the XT1225 hardware really isn't a great idea - the hardware is different.
If anything I'd flash it to the Brazil or Mexico firmware so you can upgrade to 5.0.2.

You should have said yes, the non global mode on the 1250 it's CDMA for verizon and the global mode it's gsm/lte for the other networks like att and t-mobile.
Don't be afraid when testing another firmware you can pay with it because you can always go back to the original one.
Hello,
My Moto X Play is linked with Nextel, how do I leave Retail?
I tried to install the ROM at retail RSD, but remains bound.
It's possible?
Thank you.
Is your model XT1564? If yes you might search the forum under that number & LRA ("L"TE in "R"ural "A"merica) sometimes wrongly written as RLA. Don't know much about the whole thing, just trying to give you a starting point.

I'm from Brazil . Already Unlock the Bootloader , and made the downgrade to 5.1.1 retail , and still got bond .
It looks like there's no way to remove .
of course you need to unlock the bootloader first if you want to install another firmware via fastboot
just remember your model and your area cid
So I just received the Marshmallow update and have captured it.

Smooth. No issues whatsoever so far. Battery Life has also improved considerably. Getting an average SoT of 6 hours. Got back today after work and it still had 56% battery left with SoT of about 4 hours.
I have earlier used the RR Rom, but I was facing some issues with 3G connectivity on Idea on that Rom so I decided to give the stock OS a chance, pretty neat if you ask me, no connectivity issues. It was worth the wait I guess.
No issues so far...running smoothly. I think the battery life got extended.. Last charging was done yesterday around 2 pm yesterday while updating the phone and still I have 47% remaining. The projected time is tomorrow 9.00. I am expecting for tomorrow morning.. I used to charge every 20 to 22 hrs..and after the update it is extended to 30 hrs..

Uh, no. This is for the Moto Turbo XT1225. What phone do you have?
In the U.S. any OTA Marshmallow release would be the Droid Turbo XT1254 (different radio bands) and the U.S. Moto Maxx XT1250 (identical in every way to the XT1254, even same FCC ID, so different radio bands from the XT1225). Those have NOT been released yet.
However, it is about the same OTA which has been released for the "international" Moto Maxx XT1225 -- as the Moto Turbo XT1225 shares the same FCC ID. That OTA has been released in Brazil, Mexico, Puerto Rico that I know of, so far. Maybe even Chile, by now.
Back last year I flashed my Puerto Rico XT1225 and Mexico XT1225 to India Moto Turbo XT1225 as it got Lollipop 5.0.2. first. So, all the XT1225 are totally compatible with each other. BUT you should not flash an OTA from another region over your phone. You should flash the complete image, via ADB like found here (IF you have an XT1225):

@iiWoodstocK has a TWRP-flashable version of the Brazil Marshmallow image over in the Droid Turbo forum. It uses whatever radio you already have installed. It even works on Droid Turbo (just no VoLTE) as well as all the other Quarks:
[ROM][6.0.1][Stock][Odexed]MPG24.107-70.2 Brazilian 6.0.1 for XT1254[TWRP Flashable]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/droid-turbo/development/rom-mpg24-107-70-2-brazilian-6-0-1-t3426234
iiWoodstocK said:
this ROM is just factory Marshmallow with a modded build.prop. I didn't include any radio in the .zip, so it uses whatever is currently on the device. Aside from my build.prop tweaks, this ROM is even usable for Brazilian XT1225 users, but the device will say it's a Droid Turbo and contain useless CDMA build.prop lines.

@ChazzMatt Thanks for your reply, I do have XT1254 version so the Indian ota won't work for me then. But I don't use US networks (I'm from South America).
I will try @iiWoodstocK version to see if battery life is better than Mokee.
Thanks

Would any of them not affected by the cell standby bug when wifi and cellular data are enabled at the same time ? The battery drain is insane

From what I understand that is a Marshmallow problem in general, so yes.
There are ways to mitigate it, like using an xposed app that automatically drops you down to 3G when connected to wi-fi. You are getting data from wi-fi at that point, it doesn't matter how fast your mobile connection is. Others somehow turn off mobile data completely when on wi-fi. I'm not sure how that is done, whether manually or some xposed app that does it automatically.
I have a verizon variant razr m on radiocomm to get H+ on my at&t sim card. Would i be able to get a recovery for this and rom? Im already rooted. Would i flash att roms or verizon?
