[Q] google voice typing missing in lollipop tw rom - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm running XtreStoLite touch wiz lollipop rom.
In both the Samsung and Google keyboards there is no mic button. When I go to 'settings > language and inputs ' Google voice typing isn't an available option to check. I've seen some threads mentioning turning Google search on, but I don't even see any option for that anywhere. I'm using Google launcher and Google now if that makes any difference. All that seems to work just fine. I just really want to have my voice typing back. Any clue what's happened to it? I'm not even certain it's ever been there on TW lollipop.
Help! Thanks

On stock 4.3, it's at:
Settings > Language & input > Google Keyboard (settings tab on right) > Voice input key > Mic on main keyboard

This is happening to me too on 4.4 KitKang and its driving me nuts. If anybody has a fix, I would really appreciate it!
EDIT: oh, I found it! Right when you go into "Language and Input Settings", you gotta check "Google Voice Typing" along with the AOSP keyboard.

Google Now "okay google" voice command not working with GE launcher (Jellybeans ROM)

Google Now "okay google" voice command not working with GE launcher (Jellybeans ROM)
Last night I rooted my Verizon Galaxy Note 3 with the King application. Installed chainfire's SuperSU and then installed the latest Jellybeans 4.3 ROM.
After I installed lots of apps and changed my settings how I like I was looking at the Jellybeans OTA section and saw where you could download the zip for the 4.4 kitkat Google Experience launcher. I downloaded both it and the Google boot animation and flashed them with safestrap one at a time.
Both of these mods seem to be working just fine, except I can't seem to use the Google Now, "Okay, Google" voice command. Google Now itself works just fine by swiping to the left but whether I am on the home screen or actually in Google Now, when I say the keywords "Okay, Google" or just "Google" it doesn't do anything.
I tried going into the Google Settings where I saw the switch for Google Now was turned on. I went into the voice section and saw the option for "Hotword detection" was turned on.
I tried toggling these settings off and back on again with no apparent effect. In my general settings voice controls were turned off but turning them on didn't help either.
I was wondering if anyone here has had and similar problems getting the Google Now voice command to work using the Jellybeans ROM or if there is anything else I can try. When I had my stock build I could enter Google Now and say "Okay, Google" and it would start listening. I wanted to be able to use the command from the home screen. Now it appears I can't even do it from within Google Now. When I hit the voice search button I can still do that fine so I know the mic is working.

Go to home screen, then menu - settings - voice - offline speech recognition - swipe all the way to the right tab (autoupdate), then swipe back to the left one (installed). Then update. Once it's updated it will work.

OK Google Hotword Detection Not Working

Hi there, I just got the OTA KitKat update and I can't seem to figure out why the OK Google hotword detection isn't working from the home screen. I read previous posts and made sure that the English language is installed, it is pre-installed for me and also that it was enabled. I tried both search widgets but neither of them has the text that says "Say OK Google to search" or whatever it says. Any ideas? :-\
Edit: Looks like resetting my system settings fixed it. When the phone booted back up it asked which launcher to use and gave me the option of the Google Now Launcher. All is well again.

Samsung keyboard "Google voice typing"

Hello! Someone with Android 5.* could you tell how to pop up the mic in keyboard? Because in the moment missing. I want to use "Google voice typing"
Here's what i am talking about:
Hi mate. Are you on stock rom? Is your phone rooted? Did you look in settings device keyboard? There are some points related to Google voice.

Voice detection on google now not working.

Greetings.
I just got this phone recently and I'm still trying everything out.
I'm running stock 4.4.2 kitkat, the build is D80220H.
So now I'm tinkering with Google now and it's voice powered search.
When I press the microphone button it starts to listen to me and it works properly that way.
So first, my settings are:
Search language is set to English (US).
In VOICE settings, default language is set to English (US).
In Ok Google tab, " From the Google app" is set to ON, but it doesn't react when I say " Ok Google".
When I try to set " From any screen" to on, it asks me to say " Ok Google" 3 times but the microphone is off or something because it just doesn't hear me, it does not listen to me.
So basically, I can't control google now with my voice. How do I fix this?
Anyone..?
Tried deleting updates for "Google" app, disabled and then enabled. Nothing.
Still not hearing me when it is asking me to repeat ok google 3 times.
Seriously, no one ever encountered this on their G2?
Got the fix.
You need to disable On-Screen Phone in accessibility options.
Thanks to reddit user Muhh24 for this.
And whole r/lgg2 subreddit.
