[Q] LTE lost after KK update

I have a G2 d802 originally with the Taiwan rom, Im using it in southeastern Europe and had LTE just fine on the original JB 4.2.2. rom, the selection option was not present in the network mode settings, but after selecting it in the 3845#*802# menu it was working just fine, after I received the OTA update to KK 4.4.2 I couldn't get it to work again, when I selected LTE only option in the secret menu it wouldn't register to the network, and all the bands were not selected and I couldn't select them in any way.
So I tried to flash the KK EUR ([ROM][D802]80220B EUR Open KITKAT Flashable ZIP With Custom Recovery Working! rom hoping it would solve this issue, now I have the option to select the LTE/3g/GSM in network settings, but still can't get 4G, and when I try to enter the 3845#*802# menu and select LTE only option it gives me “not supported”.
I also tried to flash a few different modem firmwares but still the same situation.
Any idea what the issue is and a way to solve it?

Try flashing stock ZVC after wiping everything except internal SD.Root using ioroot , install autorec and flash twrp .. again wipe and flash cloudy kitkat base band then install rom.
Fresh install would probably solve it.

G2 D802 has no WCDMA signal - need QCN or baseband

Hi,
to recovery my D802 brick,I brought it to a guy to fix it and he used some tools( octopus, JTAG with hardware tool). He recovered the bootloader and up stock rom, recover IMEI. ..
My phone was back, but have a big problem: The 3G signal had gone. He fixed a lot of time( recovery IMEI, upgrade QCN ...)but it only have 3G signal in a few minutes and still gone. after the phone restart, it need manual choosing network, switch to GSM (2G) and after that switch to 3G (WCDMA). Now I have to choose GSM because changeing to 3G will have no signal
My phone is 16 GB D802, import from China market( some software is Chinesse).
Now my stock rom is:
TWN/TAIWAN LGD802 2013/11/30 D80220C
Can someone have the same kind of G2 like me, please use QPST tool to port QCN file for me?
Thanks
Did you check that if your phone has apn? Maybe you need to make your apn settings.
Have you opene it? Is it a true d802?

My phone is international version so does not need APN.
Before I root & bricked my phone, everything work well, but after recover boot, something wrong with 3G signal.
I switch it to 2G and switch again in 3G, sometime I have 3G signal in a few seconds.

LG H910PR on AT&T LTE?

Hi guys:
i have looked on google etc. but can seem to find a answer. I bought a LG V20 H910PR (from claro unlocked) im using it on AT&T everything is running super fine but can't get 4G LTE only HSPA+. Is that from the phone that does not have all the bands for ATT or is there is something I need to setup?
Thanks,
Did you change your APN?

It has the NXTGENPHONE one I chaged it also to phone but still HSPA+
I will look and see if that model uses the same RSA key. If it does, then you can try flashing the entire AT&T firmware.

Your v20 supports most of att lte bands except band 17, all other should allow you to get lte with att. are you sure the apn is correct, and have you tried forcing the phone into lte mode?, use *#*#4636#*#*, if this menu does not work, download shurcutmaker from the playstore and search for network mode, that should allow you to open the network swtching menu.

Hi, I also have the same problem. The above mentioned code doesn't work, neither does the software you've mentioned. A bit more help will be appreciated.
Have the same problem on other operator. However if I reset the network settings and don't go into the network options it connects to 4G. If I just open the network settings, without touching anything, it locks to 3G/H+. There's no 4G option in network settings as mentioned. My APN is set up correctly. I did a bit of research and found these threads on Vietnamese forum, google translate was not helpful.

Is it safe to root/flash ROMs onto H910PR (it has V10j-CLR-PR software) using the H910 methods mentioned here?

Unfortunately I have the same issue, really disappointing. I'll try messaging the seller on aliexpress or I'll try to get in touch with the service on that Vietnamese forum I mentioned earlier. It is obviously software-side error so I am hoping this can be solved.
Also, you can go to service menu by typing *#546368#*910#.
Edit: After a bit of research I came across this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/help/lte-option-network-selection-t2827499
It is for LG G3 but the problem is the same. Basically Field test-Modem Settings-RAT selection - GSM/CDMA/LTE is a temporary fix. Other methods require root.
In the Field Test - PDP Setting - APN setting I have "LTE attach profile" which is hidden in the normal Network Settings menu. Don't know will modifying this to match my carrier's APN will change anything.
If you are still ARB 0, then you can use the H910 method. If you are ARB 1 or greater you will have to wait for the firehose method.

Hello, I am new to the site, something similar happens to me, I have an LG V20 H910, with the AT&T system it allowed me to select the 4G mode in the mobile networks option, now I changed the system for the company CLARO Puerto Rico And I don't get the 4G option in the settings, I only get 2G and 3G. It does not let me enter the hidden menu either, it tells me that it does not work on this device, I can not solve with the combination * # 546368 # * 910 #, I select the option only LTE, the coverage goes away and it comes back in 3G. Please, if someone solved this problem can you help me?

H910PR - How to root & install any ROM! (all lineage ROMs verified)
Hey guys! :D I've been struggling over the weekend to get my H910PR rooted w/ a custom ROM installed. I kept getting kernel panics saying 'modem crashed' but was finally able to figure it out. Step 1 - Root / TWRP I followed these steps...

Phone has working LTE, but cannot call or use sms.

I have an LG V20 LS997 rooted with lineage 14.1 installed, and my data works perfectly fine, however, The phone says I am not activated when I try to make a call, and sms messages don't get delivered. I am stumped, does anyone know how I can resolve this?

Go back to stock
Sent from my LG-H910 using XDA Labs
Try flashing this zip, it's supposed to set the phone to GSM mode if you intend to use a CDMA phone that supports GSM (Sprint V20 or Verizon V20) on a GSM carrier: T-Mobile, AT&T, and their MVNOs. I tried it on an LG G3 LS990 from Sprint so that MMS/APNs would work and it fixed them.
If you're using it on Sprint (don't intend to use GSM), don't flash it. Go back to stock LS997 and enable USB debugging, open Basic-Flasher.exe (password: oriax123), scan for COM ports, select LG serial comport, click connect, select method and choose LG, and click READ SPC. This will give you your phone's MSL/SPC code which will let you use DFS CDMA tool to change from NV_only mode to RUIM_only.
(Reply if the second paragraph is your particular case so I can continue with instructions).
