[Q] LTE lost after KK update - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a G2 d802 originally with the Taiwan rom, Im using it in southeastern Europe and had LTE just fine on the original JB 4.2.2. rom, the selection option was not present in the network mode settings, but after selecting it in the 3845#*802# menu it was working just fine, after I received the OTA update to KK 4.4.2 I couldn't get it to work again, when I selected LTE only option in the secret menu it wouldn't register to the network, and all the bands were not selected and I couldn't select them in any way.
So I tried to flash the KK EUR ([ROM][D802]80220B EUR Open KITKAT Flashable ZIP With Custom Recovery Working! rom hoping it would solve this issue, now I have the option to select the LTE/3g/GSM in network settings, but still can't get 4G, and when I try to enter the 3845#*802# menu and select LTE only option it gives me “not supported”.
I also tried to flash a few different modem firmwares but still the same situation.
Any idea what the issue is and a way to solve it?

d802 international rom in Europe

I have read somewhere in xda that international roms speciffically d802a and b have locked LTE and every ROM I flash has it disabled and i have to manually overwrite it upon every reboot via the android hidden menu (not LG hidden menu) I have also changed the build.prop to enable the extended menu but also in every reboot phone defaults to GSM/WCDMA instead of GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto.I have an unlocked german t-mobile phone.

[Q] How do you switch on LTE 4G for D802 in uk

Hi,
I imported the international D802 version from eBay HK and updated to the KitKat UK firmware using the support tool.
I'm on Three and the 4G works when I have to manually switch on LTE using the service menu key hack "*#*#4636#*#*".
However this is not permanent and it does not show up as one of the network modes in the system menu.
Does anyone know how to get the phone to always recognise that it can choose 4G normally under Mobile Networks > Network mode

Changing Country stock rom version and warrenty

Hi,
I have received a lg g2, the software version is D8022c-AME-XX
At the moment i need to do the below to get the 4G working but a reboot will need it activating again, as i understand flashing to the European Open ROM will allow it to stick after a reboot?
Would changing to the stock Euro ROM resolve the issue and would it affect the warranty?
3845#*802#,then the secret menu will come up...Then:
1. Go to LTE-Only
2. Modem Settings
3. RAT Selection
4. Select GSM / WCDMA / LTE auto
Thanks

N910-S Network Mode

I recently bought an unlocked N910S but I seem to be having some problems with LTE (I live in the US) and can't seem to access the network mode menu in 'more networks' (the option is grayed out).
Some things I've tried:
Added the access point for my provider (Cricket/AT&T)
Booting in safe mode (no changes).
Flashing other regions' stock roms (N910T, N910V, N910T); Odin gets stuck at NAND wrtie start and only N910S stock rom seems to work.
Accessing Network Mode settings through the hidden menu (can get LTE if LTE17 or LTE All is selected but can't make or receive any calls).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.

As the title says: I reverted from marshmallow back to kitkat, but lte doesn't show up, only 3g. When I am on MM again, I do have lte signal on the same place. Also in the system settings I dont have the lte option on stock kitkat. Any advice on how to get lte on kitkat? Or is it a problem only on my phone (I do have the G900F so it is lte supported)
