I can't seem to flash my LG-P705G correctly ("connection error")

I've been following the instructions in this thread:

And then doing:

Everything seems to work as it should until the actual Phone Update screen pops up.
It starts going through the upgrade process, but then keeps telling me that there's a problem between the cell phone and PC. It wants me to reset my phone and start again. But it does the same error every time.

Can someone please assist me with this? I'm brand new at trying this sort of thing. I've been reading through various threads but can't seem to figure out how to fix this problem.
One person commented on setting the phone to "download mode":
"Try connecting phone in download mode
Press Vol Down and Connect Cable or Press Vol Up and Connect Cable"
I've been trying that, but it doesn't seem to do anything on my phone.

try to install custom recovery like clockworkmod then download the original rom V10K_00.kdz put it on a sd card then try to bot from sd card from recovery...or u can use KDZ Flasher...u got here all the programs u need http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167344

[Q] Can't install stock ROM for D802

Hi
Now I have CM11 and I'd like to back to stock soft (V20B - as always). So I use R&D Test tool, tick options as always, normal upgrade test, choose language and installation starts. However it stops at 2%.
Whats wrong? I read it may be caused by issue with bootloader. Maybe my recovery (PhilZ)? I have no idea.
Any solutions?

Can you post a logcat. You might need to change your ports to com4. I read somewhere that a hard reset also helps.

Of course I use offline method to flash ROM. Hard reset can't repair this.

First of all, sorry for my english. I have the same 2% error, but the problem here is that I can't get into recovery mode, I only can get into download load, the phone doesn't turn on either.
That means that the only thing that I can do it's to flash a kdz file but the 2% error appears all the time. So, can you please help me? It's a 32gb D802.

CAN i use this metod?

used the fix ,but stil not able to flash
Hi, I had used the tool previously to flash successfully.,
But now I'm on official 4.4.2. With philz latest recovery ..
The problem I'm encountering is that wen I try connecting the mob in recovery mode, to PC , I cant start adb services .
The mob is getting detected in the PC,,but wen I start the fix bat service , my device is not getting detected and just stuck at the message daemon started successfuly ...nothing else.
Please help me out. My mob is D802 international version with Indian official 4.4.2 installed.
I've already downloaded the lollipop version of hungarry 16gb and Open version 16 GB of another country.
Kindly advice me which one to install and how. To overcome this error...

I had this LG Flash tool 2% problem.
I did install FixedDownloadCMode.bat and it was succesfull.
I was in TWRP and then shutdown the device and booted to download mode. Download mode boot stuck to point where there was those blue dots. This was last time i could even try download mode.
After that when I try to shutdown device, it auto reboots directly to lg logo. Cant shutdown device.
Because of FixedDownloadCMode.bat there is no more twrp and because bootloop can't get and try download mode (if it even works).
What should i do now?

Is this risky? Could it cause a problem that would require more technical skill to solve? Because i havent done much more than root and flash zip files from recovery so id hate to brick a device thats currently working.

Look my post above. I would say, this is risky.
I was coming from working Acura ROM, but after this fix, I had to disassembly and hardware reset device to qhsusb mode.

I have a D801 and I tried this method on my Phone, and Finally got a Black Screen of Death. After a Broad Torturing Situation and Sleepless Night I got my D801 back. Kindly Provide a Solution for the Similar Problem for this Variant and other Variants as well, So that other gets Benefit as well.

i had the same problem... with G2 d803 ...... when i bought it.....the back cover was replaced with D802 and a did a mistake by flashing via twrp recovery a firmware of D802.... guess what............ i lost even the download mode witch i reinstall it with fast boot.
so make sure that the firmware is the right one for your devices .... use imei written in back side of the back cover to find firmware otherwise flashtool will hung at 2 or 4 %.

Stuck at LG logo

i am stuck at LG logo, have instaled this BUMPed TWRP, but i cant get into it.

It´s because I can´t manage to do the vol dwn + power button combo properly. I´ve been trying this for 2 hours already and I had hard time doing it even before, when my phone worked.. (more than 50 attempts... )
So at first i had TWRP 2.8.6.1 and Resurrectionremix ROM with LP, then i wanted to flash SRK ROM and after instalation of it my recovery didn´t work so i had to flash the bumped one.

Everything worked fine, but the SRK ROM was lagging.
But now i decided to come back to Resurrection remix (because of those lags) and flashed the newest version 5.4.4. after that i got stuck at LG logo. If I connect my prone to computer at the splash screen, it recognises LG G2, but I can´t do anything.
Is there any way i can enter TWRP without doing that buttons combo? Or can i install stock KDZ file with LGflashtool via download mode without bricking my device, when i have bumped twrp?

I'm not an experienced user, you should wait for confirmation by other user(s).
Afaik Resurrection Remix needs Jellybean bootloader, therefore you had to flash the "back to KK" patch from SRK thread.
Normally it is possible to enter recovery also with ADB (sending commands from computer to phone), but I don't know if its possible in your case.
Personally, I have flashed .kdz files via LGflashtool 2014 using CSE flash many times without any problem (D802 with bumped TWRP by blastagator).

That´s the problem i want to use adb, but i can not get into TWRP.
Anyway I just tried to use LG flash tool, downloaded drivers + KDZ file and used CSE flash. Verification of phone was completed and upgrading started but then i get popup with no connection to server. Just to clarify my internet connection works fine.
Btw. there is 4% completed behind the popup.
Edit: A lot of people on xda wrote, that this LG flash tool has some difficulties with extracting KDZ files larger than 1Gb, that might be it. But it worked for you...

I found a post in a german android forum about the "connection so server failed". A user stated that he used a usb port located directly on the mainboard (not front) and just ignored the connection error notification. So just don't close the popup window. Also use the original cable of the G2.
Afair there is also a progress bar on the phone, keep an eye on it.
Hmm i've never read about problems with .kdz >1GB. Unfortunately every G2 .kdz is 1,5GB+.

OK, right now I feel like I am totaly dumb and missing something really obvious.
Everytime is my phone at 0% but LG flash tool displays 4% and this TYPE_WPARAM_UPGRADE_ERROR pops up, always same error even with different settings.

It doesn´t matter if I use LGFlashTool2014 or UpTestEX tool with windows enabler. Unfortunately i don´t have original LG cable anymore, but i tried to use 3 another different cables and 2 computers (laptop and desktop computer with usb port located on the mainboard - both running win7).
Any further ideas?

I would download the .kdz again (might be corrupt) oder try another .kdz.
In another forum, it is suggested to rename the file to simple name like "a.kdz" and put it on top of the partition (C:\a.kdz).
You also should try newer driver, because afaik the ones in in the kdz how to thread are a little bit old.
Also you could try the TOT method.

Finally my phone is working again :highfive: :victory:
I read about TOT flash few days ago but didn´t want to use it, because I wasn´t sure if I have right TOT file for my phone, but it was my last chance and it worked on 1st try.
I used 4 or 5 types of KDZ files before (a/b and jellybean/kitkat), so that was not the issue, and had lastest drivers. After a little bit of research on xda and google I found out, that it´s kind of bug in LG software when it comes to overwriting bootloader files and I can´t do anything about it, so the only way solve my trouble was to flash TOT file.
