Just got my yoga pro 2 13 inch, and the speakers are making crackling noises at high pich vocal noise in the song. Is this normal with this tablet, or is my unit is defective?
Thnx

Probably defective. Mine sound great at all volumes.

How do the speakers compare to those of the Note 2? I'm discussing in terms of both loudness and audio quality. Are there distortions at maximum volume? Is the quality comparable to the top HTC phones?
The Note 3 had some pretty lackluster speakers, and they were a downgrade compared to those of the Note 2.
On that note, will the DAC for the Qualcomm version be their integrated sound solution and the Wolfson DAC again for the Exynos versions?
Of course you know not a single one of these has been sold yet, so how can you ask a question like this?
If it's like S5 it will be louder than my z2. Let's wait and see.
I hope it's at least as good as the Note 2. I felt like the Note 3 speaker was a downgrade in the loudness department.
In that Russian review they stated the Note 4 speaker was louder then the Note 3 one.

I just checked out the Note 4 at a local Best Buy and I'm happy with everything, but the speaker.
It is indeed louder than the Note 3's, but not by much. It has great highs, but the midrange is tinny sounding and nowhere as full or as loud as my LG G3's speaker. I rely heavily on the speakerphone so this was a disappointment, but I'll buy the phone anyways.
Is it only mine or the note 4 loudspeaker sucks?
The sound distorts its scratchy when it is in its max volume.
Note 3 was better. ?
Notification Sound is also scratchy with max volume

I find the sound of the Note 4 to be much better than the Note 3. Much Much better. I have the 910C Exynos version.

On my note 3 snapdragon I was using a volume hack to boost overall volume level, while on note 4 I find the sound level is much better, I still find it a little low on speaker phone and incall volume. Hope someone can make a volume hack on exynos this time.

I've got a note 2 to compare with, and I find the Note 4 speaker to be much louder and clearer than the note 2. I've also got the Exynos version.

what color is your phones? its funny but i think white one speaker volume is less! every review on black one (like gsmarena) says a very good speaker but the reviews on white one (like phonearena) says its low and tiny, what is it?!

Mine is the White snapdragon ahahah
How can the CPU type affect that much how good or bad the speaker is?
i was in a samsung store yesterday and tested three different kind of note 4 N910C (white, black and another white one in a near store) , tested speaker with default samsung musics and a music that i sent over bluetooth to note 4, with bass enabled in samsung music player or going over volume 12 to 15 the sound was disorted like hell! i couldn't believe what i heard, the quality was good till volume 12 but enabling bass or going over volume 12 makes the sound just awful what is wrong with these devices i tested? it completely made me change my mind of buying this device
It's fairly decent (but will still mod soon as always do to boost max on all outputs)..
The new software coding and virtualization does seem to make the single mono speaker ok and a tad better then the Note 3...also the position is a bit better being lower on the back for landscape media viewing but I'm still very disappointed that they didn't rock this thing with "dual stereo FRONT facing" speakers..
That was what I was hoping for and kind of expecting on this new model but never happened (like IP67 water resistance rating, USB3, wireless charging built in, temp sensor, full metal casing) but such is life....still a great phone but COULD have been more amazing and more of a groundbreaking jump from the 3...

I tested the Note4 today and compared the sound with my Note2. The Note2 sounds better to me and it made me not wanting to upgrade... until I took some photos with the cameras. The Note4 camera takes so much better pictures than my Note2 (probably thanks to the OIS). Still very disappointed with the Note4 speaker though
The Note 4 is far superior to the Note 3 in the sound department.

hello,
i´ve compared the volume output with 3 different headphones (shure se215, sennheiser cx685 and teufel turn) and my old honor 7 is much louder and punchy compared with the axon 7. (no matter if dolby atmos is on or off) i am really disappointed about this thing because i hope the a7 is an improvment. maybe is the loudness of the a7 limited?
with the honor 7 i can´t listen for a long time a full volume because its too loud... (with the shure/ sennheiser)
the sound quality is good on the a7 but also on the honor 7 there is no distortion at high levels (the speakers on the a7 are plainly better!)
i tested it on both devices with the stock player, soundcloud and youtube. (mp3s with 320kbit)
is something wrong with my a7?
other "problems": no lte connection in austria
no wifi connection possible
I already created a thread for it. Also I'm really disappointed, lucky also have axon 7 from USA besides EU version. American axon 7 is awesome in audio aspects.

If you choose a custom Dolby equalizer setting it gets louder. If you then adjust it, it gets even louder.
Let's email German ZTE about issues. European customers should get the same product as Americans, more we pay, less we get. Not fair

Definitely agree! They need to know what's up. Because what's the point of making it less loud with default eq and louder with custom eq. Doesn't make sense at all.
I found several spec sheets that claim differently.
I understand that the SNAPDRAGON QUALCOMM Model supports Qualcomm Aptx-HD.
And Quickcharge qualcomm 3.0
that SM-G950F i dont know if supports.
nobody?
nobody?
I don't know for sure but what notice 2 days I'm having the Exynos variant is that sound quality while using my LG Tone Platinum Bluetooth stereo is better with Galaxy S8 compared to my Axon 7.

there is a definite difference between using my aptx capable $15 bluetooth headphones vs using the supplied "$99" headphones that sound like complete crap compared to the cheap bluetooth. I'm using the exynos so im guessing something is working right.

Try wearing the stock / AKG headphones upside down, with the cable facing up and going behind your ear - it locks into your ear canal and boosts bass and increases isolation
After 3 month using this phone and desperately searching for fix, there seem to be none.
When i record a video and i speak directly to the phone where it is only 50cm away from me, it almost records no sound. you can't hear a damn thing when you listen to the recorded footage and you have to boost the audio like 5 or 6 times to make it ok.
is there any fix guys, or should i just switch back to another bran cause i have tested almost 7 other xiaomi phone all have the same issue, i wonder why no one mention that online. redmi note 7 redmi note 8 and my mi 9t and mi 9t pro all the same issue.
