Purchased Note 4 from Singapore, Model # : N910G (4G variant). Using it in Indonesia with TELKOMSEL. Bought in Singapore because I wanted LTE. In Indonesia, they are selling N910H, which is only 3G.
Got the USIM Card from TELKOMSEL Indonesia and put it in my Note 4.
There is no LTE Option under Network Mode.. it only shows:
WCDMA / GSM
WCDMA Only
GSM Only
Replaced with M1 Singapore USIM Card and Optus Australia USIM Card, it shows:
LTE/WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA Only
GSM Only
These options appears even when I put those USIM in Indonesia.
Put my USIM card in another N910G in Singapore (belong to Samsung store), their LTE option disappears
WCDMA / GSM
WCDMA Only
GSM Only
Put my USIM Card in Samsung Galaxy Edge in Samsung Store in jakarta, LTE option is there
LTE/WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA/GSM
WCDMA Only
GSM Only
I used #*2263# and chose SELECT ALL BANDS and just happened to be in 4G area and for the first time, I can see the 4G signal. However, when I went to the network mode, it still does not have LTE option.
Question:
Even though there is no LTE option, does my phone operates in 4G when it gets 4G signal? or the 4G symbol only shows that we are in the 4G area but the phone won't download as fast as 4G because the LTE option is missing and am using the WCDMA / GSM setting?
Isn't it funny that my USIM Card can make the LTE option in another phone disappears?
Try to upgrade
Hi,
Try upgrading your note 4 to lolipop (5).
I had the same problem with you since my device is from Singapore and using in Indonesia when I had 4.4.4 in my note 4.
After I upgrade, the option is showing even I don't use USIM Card.

I bought N9005. Originally was in Spanish, I presume it was for Spanish market.
I activated it with German SIM with no problem and I used LTE from O2. Now I'm in Russia using SIM from Megafon. It is 4G SIM and operator ensures me they provide me with LTE. I checked in settings "4G/3G/2G" auto is chosen.
However I never see on my Note 3 an indicator 4G or LTE. Maximum H+. I thought it is because of the location, but I tried it in several locations where the coverage has to be ok.
Is there any lock inside the firmware for the LTE support like in freaking iphone5?
Hi,
has anyone managed to use an unlocked Galaxy S4 I9506 with LTE/4G on 3UK (three.co.uk)?
When I use a 4G 3UK SIM in a Galaxy Tab 10.1 (2014 Edition) I can see a Network Mode of WCDMA/GSM (auto connect), as well as WCDMA only and GSM only.
When I use a 4G 3UK SIM in a Galaxy S4 I9506, I can only see 3G/2G (auto connect) and 3G only modes - no option for 4G/LTE.
If I use a Vodafone or EE SIM in the same I9506, then I see Network Mode options for 4G/3G/2G (auto connect), as well as 3G/2G and 3G only.
Any advice on firmware/baseband versions gratefully received.
Thanks in advance

I had a similar problem. I Am in Ireland and I am using an unlocked from on 3 Ireland. I am on stock 4.3. I used the following method to enable the option for LTE. You must be rooted for this to work:
Using Root Explorer or something similar go to data >property>persist.radio.lteon.xml open the file in Text Editor and change the value to true. Save and Exit and Reboot
i have note 3 n9000 with gsm band support ... is there a way that it can support cdma and lte 4g bands .... when i removed the battery the sim slot is of 4 pins that means it can suppot lte also but the phone only shows gsm/wcdma options. is there any way to modify this ?

hi,
i bought a yureka, everything is great. its just that i'm unable to use 3G or LTE on my device.
it always shows edge. on my device. and runs 2G
in mobile networks preferred network type is LTE. and i have LTE service in my area.
on phone info *#*#4636#*#* By default the preferred network comes as LTE/GSM auto(PRL) and network type shows EDGE.
i have tried changing the preferred network to WCDMA preferred, then radio on/off, still network type shows as EDGE.
Plz guys.....I hope u can solve this problem....the sim is perfectly working in other phones!!!!
Hi,
What you need to do is as follows:
1) Put your LTE Sim in Sim 1 Slot
2) in Sim settings for Sim 1 select LTE preferred - for 4G
If you want to use 3G then select 3G
3) dial *#*#4636#*#*
4) select - WCDMA Only - for 3g
Select - LTE only - for Lte network ( when u select lte/ gsm auto it will revert back to edge if no proper LTE signal is available)
Now you are good to go. You don't need to change the sim settings if your reboot. But you need to change the settings in phone info everytime you reboot as it will reset to LTE / GSM Auto prl.

But Sir, the network mode goes into HSPA. Will I be able to connect to my 4G network?
If you do as stated above you will be definitely on 4G dear. I'm doing the same on CM 13 on yureka

I tried it but no good
HI
for starters please excuse me for my English (i use g.t.)
sow i have today a good surprise with my S7 dual-sim (G930FD) with latest nougat firmware
- SIM 1 (DigiMobile Romania) to be in 3g/2g mode and using 3g band (2100 MHz)
- SIM 2 (Vodafone Romania) to be in LTE/3g/2g mode and using LTE band (800 or 1800 MHz)
How to:
1. set 4G on the sim you want, then turn off that sim.
2. then for the other sim set it to 3G/2G
3. then turn on the sim that you turned off
4. if done right you will see SIM1 LTE/3G/2G, SIM2 3G/2G. or SIM1 3G/2G , SIM2 LTE/3G/2G
Seems also work here in Germany with TMobile and O2. Thx for this hint.
welcome
thanks seems to work for me as well
Had some problems with sim 2 (data sim) on lte and sim 1 on 3G (H). Incoming calls on sim 1 are going directly to the mailbox. Sim 2 is working properly.
If both cards are on 3G all is working fine.
Can someone check!?
