Hi. As I said in the title, I've just changed my phone to samsung galaxy note3, but I'm not sure how to root this phone cuz I used to use a galaxy s2 before I changed my phone. ps. I live in South Korea and I'm using a Korean galaxy note3 ( sm-n900s)
The things I want to ask you guys are these
1. How do I root this?
2. Is there any custom roms that can be installed on the note3 jellybean 4.3?
3. When I root this device, does something happens to the knox warranty thing? When I searched a Korean developer forum, they said if I root this device, the knox warranty will be broken so you'll not be able to get free a/s.
4. Is the way of installing roms on note3 same as the way of galaxy s2?
5. Is it ok to install non-korean roms on my note3?
Thanks.

Of course - you'll trip KNOX 0x0 -> 0x1 and void your warranty

One piece of advice I will give you. Read until your eyes burn and you know everything that goes wrong/can go wrong and how to fix it if it does go wrong.

Go to Note 3 Android Development session, there's plenty of custom ROMs option there... Enjoy your root!
Hello I buy a galaxy s4 value edition and I don't fine any root for my phone I search a few forum and I see there is a lot of people in my situation with the I-9515. I hear the Cf-auto root with odin work but some people activate the knox 0x1.

I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 - 16 GB White.
I also recently found that if I root it and install a custom ROM the knox will activate and I will lose my warranty....
Is there any way I can root it and install a custom ROM without activating the knox and losing the warranty?
I had a HTC Desire... but i'm totally newbie with this phone.

Hello all,
New Note 3 user but have rooted Droid1 and Nexus in the past. I am a little confused with the Note3 because I have read about tripping "knox" and do not want to void the warranty. Is knox tripped on the phone itself or do the results get sent somewhere else? Also, what is the best thread/guide to start for someone who wants to root the device for superuser only, not interested in customization. On version 4.4.2 - Verizon
Thanks!

Hi to all,
I've got two questions for all of you.The first one is:is there a way to reset the knox to 0x0 on Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos (SM-G900FD) ,as for the Samsung SM-N900?I saw a video on youtube a few days ago, uploaded by @R Reviewers where the Samsung SM-N900's knox was reverted back to 0x0.Is there a way I can revert the knox to 0x0 on my Samsung Galaxy S5 Duos?
I really do need to get my warranty back!
My second question is:is there a free method to unlock my phone (with software or something else, but to be a FREE way)?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards!
Not possible, Knox is a physical thing, when you trip Knox there's a physical change on the board.

1. No way to reset a tripped KNOX flag on our devices (as of now).
Here you can read more about this topic :
[RESEARCH]Samsung Knox: Warranty Void Behavior by theq86.
2. There are paid services to unlock the device for all networks. Usually you have ask the carrier/provider to which it is locked to for an unlock code. Some do, some want money and some won't do it at all.
Here you can find threads about network unlocking on xda:
Threads Tagged with network unlock.
... sounds strange to me to have a dual SIM device locked to one network ... for both SIMs.
Hope that you get it unlocked.
Good luck!
More details for the previous questions!
Hi,
so first of all I would like to thank Rakuu and It_ler for replying to my thread!
This time I would like to add some more details for the two questions I asked you in my previous post:
1.How did the guy on the video on youtube : Reset Knox in your Exynos Note 3 with @R Reviewer (I can't post links till I post 10 posts,so I post you the name of the video on youtube and please check that video on youtube in order you could answer my question) reset the knox on the Samsung SM-N900 to 0x0 with some bootloader?(And the bootloader files are from rhe xda!)
2.In my previous post I didn't tell you that my phone was unlocked until I made a factory reset to it.Do I need to ask for help from the phone seller to unlock the phone again( but I lost my warranty after I tripped the knox!) or I can unlock it myself? What do you think?
Thanks in advance!
Best regards!
