Well you are standing in line to get it, but with kies you can download it straight away to bad you don't got your cable with you though.

What network? EE?

BTU is UK unlocked I believe.I'm unlocked as I got mine from carphone warehouse.
If you're on EE it should be an N7105 anyway shouldn't it?

When I saw that 'they' downloaded an update pack to my Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (without asking me if I need it) I immediately went to Settings + Applications manager + All + Software update (and disabled it, plus cleared data and cache).
So, I'm still sitting with my 4.1.1. The SUPERPHONE is extremely smooth, without lag or bugs. So, if everything is perfect why I need this ridiculous update?

You might need it depending on whether your phone is susceptible to the sudden death syndrome.
I can confirm that the battery life issue for 4.1.2 has been fixed since the previous update, so there's no reason not to update really...

Sudden death -yes
Battery life - not even close. 4.1.1 is still much better than 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 when it comes to that

I get between 5-8 hours of screen on time on both. So no difference.

I was hoping you weren't gonna say that (about the battery) the change list is substantially different to the other 4.2.2 firmwares, I thought they may have addressed that issue.

I m from india and I m going to buy it in few days so I just wanted to know whether indian version of note 8.0 ( note 510)(N5100) has a 30 pin connector or micro usb because I saw some reviews on youtube and some has 30 pin connector and some had micro usb port so I m really confused which one it has ???
Edit got the answer for 2) question went to samsung store near my house and saw the tablet it has micro usb

Updated yesterday. Battery draining is normal in my opinion. Phone feels a little snappy now. However had to factory reset as some of my previously installed apps crashed due to changes in internal storage identification.

Apart from the new bloatware and the loss of root access, I have absolutely nothing to complain about.
I love the new 4.2.2 update.

The s pen is better now. .it was horrible in the german firmware

That's interesting, how long were you using the German version before you were aware of the drain? And did you flash this one in the same way, mobile Odin with no wipe etc...
As I did wonder whether doing a clean slate flash and wipe would have helped matters with the German variant. I might give this one go if the vibes are positive.

The battery on the German version was also not different...I was just responding to the queries above....flashed the German rom the day it came out
...I flashed both the roms using PC odin..Didn't root my note 8 yet...Didn't really feel the need. ...But funnily on either rom can't get to wipe cache...getting error..so no manual wipe,..But believe PC odin does wipe cache
But running omega rom on my note 2

I ve been using it for couple of hours, I can say it s excellent firmware. Finally we ve received a pretty good update, it s smooth and fast. I ve already uninstalled some bloatware apk ( about 70 :laugh: ) , at last I can say I am very satisfied with 4.2.2

That firmware was a major disappointment, very laggy.

I've tried it this afternoon and I concur, it's much better than the old Aussie 4.2.2

With 4.2 Australian ROM i had battery drain (7 hours battery life vs 11 with 4.1), with UK is the same ?

Yeah the first 2 days I had extreme battery drain, seems to have cleared up now and is sleeping properly.

Already running 4.3.1 on mine... Good to see at least if I wanted to roll back to stock I could have at least 4.2.2 :highfive:

UK firmware is much better than Australian, battery life and performance are the same as previous 4.1

Samsung report a big battery test in Samsung A8 and j5 is fixed the problem and implement in New update for all s6 .s6 edge

LG G3 MM battery life

I was wondering how your battery life on marshmallow is. I installed v30c on my LG G3 yesterday and can't get more than 3 hours of sot ? even with lollipop I had better battery life..

I have similar problem. Sometimes a get great bateery live, but sometimes it just go super fast down. Like today phone was just on table and lose 30 percest of capacity in less that 3 hours.

It's just that the battery drops way too fast when the phone is in use. In standby mode the phone can last forever but when you start using it the battery drops immediately

Normally after 60 min of no using phone it turn to DOZE, which is really great. But sometimes no, and it makes Android System and OS. I will make some screen shots.

Mine was the same, I had updated from v30b to v30c without factory reset and battery life was horrible. Then I have factory reset, it is even better than previous versions now.

My battery life gets worse on 30c then on LP too....I do factory reset and also uninstall some apps. I notice that weather service get crazy. Look at screen shot...and my location is off.

I upgraded to Marshmallow yesterday (v30d) and my battery life has been terrible so far. I drains much faster than it did with Lollipop, even when Doze is supposed to be activated. I didn't have time to do a clean install but I will probably have to if this keeps up.
