Trying to add shutdown .ogg file to my S5. It doesn't have a stock sound and the only file I found was "shut_down.ogg" in the ui folder but that file doesn't play on a shutdown. Anyone know how to add audio to the shutdown animation?
Nvm...added PowerOff.ogg file to ui folder and it works now

Hello , im wondering if this is possible, the click is nice but i want to add more of an lg prada sound.. any help?
simple way is:
1. find out where the screentap sound file is located, most likley windows dir.
2. find out what the name of that file is.
3. create your sound file, and rename it the same name as that file.
4. drag in and overwrite the old one. now your new one should be working.
Hello all. I have a wav/mp3 file that I'd like to use as my new message alert. When I select the file from the file explorer on media card, the file plays fine. However, when I assign this same file as the alert file, it will not play? Any thoughts?? Thanks folks!!

did you save it in the ringtones folder in My Documents?
Tried it; didn't work. Also, I'm using other files as alerts that are not in the ringtone folder successfully?
There's no "Add" option in the settings for Notification Sounds, like there is in the Ringtones settings.
I couldn't paste any MP3s with ES File Explorer into the Notifications audio folder (or into the Ringtones folder, either, for that matter): "Read-only File System".
Is root needed to escape the stock notification sounds?
I did this; I copied my notifications and ringtones off my old phone and put them in the Ringtones folder on internal memory. I then added them with ES Explorer and it works perfect. The ringtone was a MP3 and the Notification was a OGG file.
Do I really need the text file in /system/etc listing ringtones or can it be deleted and pickup all apropriate encoded files instead.
I don't want to be converted to believing placing files on sdcard is just as good.
There is no ./etc equivalent for notification files it seems
I copy the .ogg file to the ringtones folder, restart and there are no files...
How can I resolve this issue?
this message appears when I try via ADB
"remote couldn't create file: Read-only file system"
