Hello,
I was trying to update my LG G2 to Lollipop using German official release available since yesterday. The problem I'm having is that the firmware update mode goes to x % then I can see red text "Assert" in the second line and then phone restarts and shows 0% and doing nothing. LGFlashTool2014 is showing message that something went wrong (or similar) and I can try again. It's happening all the time - over and over - sometimes it's 30%, sometimes 60%. I was trying to back to KitKat using LG Mobile Support Tool - same situation. When I'm trying to restart my phone, it's restarting to download mode all the time :/

Ok, after about 4 hours I fixed it using TOT method (version D80210b for Europe). So if there's a problem with KDZ method, maybe anyone knows when - or if - it will be Lollipop version for TOT method?

So - after I bring my G2 to life using TOT method and older KitKat I thought I could try with Lollipop again. And now it works! Good morning to Lollipop! So I hope it might be helpful for others with similar problems
What I did exactly?
1. Trying to install Lollipop using KDZ method and something was going wrong all the time - keep restarting to download mode.
2. Performed hard reset.
3. Fixed problems by installing downgrade using TOT method.
4. Installed Lollipop using same file I was trying to use before and I chose Normal Flash method.
5. Good morning to Lollipop!

I used LGD802AT-V10b-EUR-XX-SEP-07-2013-16G.exe (sorry, can't add links because I don't have 10+ posts ) For Lollipop I used KDZ method with official LG G2 image for Germany 16GB version

Guys... i have the D802 (European version) and i've installed a camera mod (xdabbe's 3.2). I've deleted the backup, so now i am stuck with it Will i be able to make the OTA update to Lollipop ?

Hi there,
I've been looking for a way to root my phone and found petrescu's rooting guide. He said there it was tested on V10 A,C, I. My software is v10c-DEC-07-2012, however the process stucks at "Waiting..." sign in the window.
What am I doing wrong? Debugging is turned ON and LG software installed ;|

I'm not sure what Petrescu's guide is but I personally used the rooting method from this link and my L7 was rooted within less than 5 minutes!
Follow the link at the end of this website to unlock the bootloader then follow the link for installing CWM and you won't have any issue.
I haven't found a better guide than this so far...

The rooting method is the same, even files package is identical. While rooting, the shell is stuck at "Waiting..." or a little further at "Waiting for /data/local.prop..."

UPDATE: Posting again for visibility.
Apparently, rooting doesn't work because I have v10C local polish version and I need OPEN version of v10c. Can someone tell me how to flash this?

Ok, I updated the phone to V20C ( Android 4.1.2 ) version. What is the method of rooting this software?

I have an lg g2 d802 actually on stock firmware
I tried a lot of alternative firmware last days but when I come back to stock with FlashTool and a TOT file ( BIN_LGD802AT-00-V10b-SEA-XX-SEP-04-2013-32G+0 ) it works but it says me i have just 10gb of internal storage in the explorator app. I try to reinstall other rom or reflash TOT but it doesn't works. Did someone know how to fix this problem please !?

Hi guys , trying to install TWRP recovery brikei my LG G2 Lite He does not care more ( not even light up the screen). Still vibrating when I try to call , and when I connect to the PC where it should appear the internal memory and SD card appear two folders (image date and if I remember correctly ) . Can you enter download mode? Try to find how to do it for your model... This forum section is for the G2 (not lite)... You need to find out how to enter download mode in your device and, if you could, find the official ROM for you device and find out how to flash it there. But not with the tools for the G2 found in this section as they are different devices.

I hope you can help me, After trying to install the official LG G2 ROM 5.0 bassed on the korean model (with twrp) I had a hard brick.
Had quite a hard time trying to get my phone back to life, finally was able to go back to stock with lg flash tool. I downloaded the TOT file for EUR INT.
Kernel: 3.4.0
Compilation: JDQ39B
Software: D80210b-214-07
Now the phone is working perfect but I´m back to 4.2.2 which sucks as I was trying to get to 5.01 :cyclops:
I can´t update with LG PC suit as it won´t recognise my phone, and the update sofware app in the phone says I have the latest software available....
I´ve been checking and it turns out that the correct orignial software for my phone was the version D802 V20B.
Can it be that the reason that I can´t update the software from LG, or is not possible to do this after flashing a custom rom and back to "stock"??

Are you expecting to get an OTA update to LP? Lollipop hasn't even been released yet for the International variant.
If you're trying to get back to KK just use a site like LG Firmware ROM to download a KDZ file based on your IMEI and flash it with the LG Flash Tool. If you have a D802 you don't need to bother with using TOT files. Using the site I mentioned should download you the latest KK released for your phone.
Note: Just wait a few months for Lollipop, honestly.

Once Lollipop is released officially then yes, you will be able to update to it via the suite or over the air.
I'm not quite sure of the context of your other 2nd question.

Try Normal Flash first to keep your data. Sometimes Normal Flash will constantly fail. In that case, do a Full Wipe/Fresh Install (CSE).
NOTE: BACKUP YOUR DATA/PICTURES/MUSIC BEFORE DOING ANYTHING, IN THE CASE SOMETHING GOES WRONG.
Hi, I am using G2 with custom roms for a long time. But few weeks ago (after new few rom tries) something happened and now it just starts with TWRP. Even if I upgrade TWRP tp news version, to install many roms succesfully it did not help. Now I can access files over USB and also with TWRP. Do you have any advice? or d oyou think to change TWRP to CM Recovery helpw?

my G2 (D802, HU model) had some problem yesterday, 27.03.2017.
I was on cr-droid and tried update it to latest version and after my G2 started only with TWRP.
At home i've downgraded my G2 to LP with KDZ with success.
Now it's work again.
Today morning i rooted my phone but i didn't find auto-rec in Play Store so i have not TWRP
I suggest you to downgrade it. Perhaps that method helps you too I hope!

i found LG G2 AutoRec for LP on the Store now and it works :good:
Tip: auto-rec and autorec aren't same keywords
Now i have TWRP also.
As i remember SU must be an older version (on my phone is 2.46) and avoid to update it because AutoRec will not working.
Everythings fine.
Next step: installing latest cr-droid :fingers-crossed:
